Fell

---2: 45 am---

Ring Ring Ring

Disturbed by the vibrating of my phone, I begrudgingly get up from the darkness of my bed, turn to my device lying on the desk beside me, its bright light illuminating the room. "Fuck that's bright..." I mumble as I rub my head, greeted with the loving scent of Canada(there's a stamp taped on my aircon to make it my room smell like Canda)--yes I have my bed back now too. After forcing myself to get up, my eyes drooping as I stare into nothingness for a solid 3 seconds, I snap out of it and view the caller on my phone.

Hm.

It's her, Klara. She's calling me at this time...but we never called before. We only text...so uh, yeah. It's kind of weird to see her calling me--but whatever. Seems urgent.

"Okay uh...Klara's callin' me..woo hoo...surprise surprise..." I lazily pick up my phone and examine it for a solid 5 seconds before answering. "Yo--"

"[Dante, something's happened." she says through the phone as clear as crystal, her voice being a bit jittery through the call.

"Wait wha--"

"[Y'know that random shit that when you suddenly gain a huge ass something out of fucking nowhere?]"

I frown, scratching my cheek. "That's...very vague Klara...I-I didn't even understand--"

"[It's like Spider-man--he's like...able to shoot webs out of his ass or--]"

"His wrist...He shoots webs out of his wrist--"

"[WHATEVER! P-Point is..!]"

Then there was a long beat of silence...

Honestly, its the first time I've heard Klara's voice a bit shaky.

"What's wrong...? Did...Did something bad happen?"

"[...]"

For a few seconds...she doesn't answer.

"Hello?" I grumble, lying on my bed this time, yawning. "Klara hey--"

The phone abruptly echoes a whooshing sound as if it's going at high speeds, making me flinch since it was so sudden.

"The hell was that...Klara? Hey. Are you--"

"[I'm at your window.]"

"..."

"Sorry...?"

On my right, the sound of my window sliding upwards resonates inside my room, allowing a gust of wind to blow inside, making my curtain flap against it.

"Holy...uh...Klara..?" I say on my phone. "You did that...?"

"[Just look outside already.]"

I'm a bit uh, hesitant by that--but I do it anyway. "Right..." Groggily getting out of my bed was shit. Once I did that, I just idly stood... Ugh. I have to walk an additional 3 feet just to look out my window. Even though, if Klara's telling me to look outside--and she did whatever she did outside of my room on the floor I'm in then...

"Ugh...fine."

I do as told. Lazily plodding, a few more sloppy steps and I'm now in front of my window, shoving off my curtains as the view of Neo City greets me again from a significant distance. Its bright neo-lights varying in color highlight the corners of the buildings, and 15-foot holograms waltz around blocks of the city, advertising their products. Looking down at my own block I'm in, not much was there except stores like pawn shops, Car servicing areas, normal grocery stores, and other apartment buildings. The scent of burning cigars and sewers clogs my nostrils, making me retreat back inside my room for a second before peeking my head back out my window as the silence of the street I'm in fills the peace my dad and I desire.

I look down at the street. "Alright Klara, I'm at my window right now. What ya want me to see...?"

"[You're looking at the wrong place hubby.]"

"Wha...where am I even supposed to look you..goof. A-And I said stop calling me that." I hastily retort, still looking down at my street in an attempt to spot a very tall woman with a voluptuous body.

She sighs on the call. "[Look up you goofball.]"

Huh? Look up?

I do as told. Switching my gaze to the night sky. "All I see is the black sky and a rocket heading to the damn moon colony."

"[You're blind too?]"

"Mnh. Sorry, I'm uh, kinda not used to being woken up at 2 in the morning and told to look outside my window and--"

["Do you see me waving my hand, twerp?]"

"Hell if I can see if you're waving your hand at me in the damn sky." I say, now squinting at the night starry sky, now searching for a supposed humanoid waving at me in the dark. I mumble. "Twerp my asssSSS--WHAT THE FUCK?!"

I get it now.

She wants me to look up not to look at the rocket going for a take off to the moon colony, instead, she wants me to look up because--

"YOU ARE FUCKING LEVITATING??!" I yell a bit too hard, causing some of my neighbors' lights to turn on. "Shit uh..." I whisper on my phone this time. "Why're you fucking flying...?! You're hovering!!" I say, bewildered, looking at that one humanoid-looking spec in the night sky waving at me

"[Cool right?]"

"Well...yeah cool but--did you buy some realistic holographic shit to dupe me...? Cause hearty har har it worked! You got me terrified as hell. There's no possible way you're flying--"

"[Awww hubby's afraid that I'll fall~?]"

"You know what, maybe you should fall."

"[Your reactions are hilarious.]"

"Aight, prove to me you're flying," I say. "Get ova here."

"[Bet.]"

I squint as the humanoid spec slowly and steadily comes close to me. Her figure grows a millimeter larger every second that's passing by. Every seven seconds, the enlarging humanoid spec in the night would wobble mid-flight as if the gush of wind was disrupting her concentration.

"[I-I'm almost there...Juuust a lil' more and...!]"

She increases her speed.

Though this is a bit better, she suddenly pivots in the wrong direction to her right before her overall concentration shatters due to a slight miscalculation. I watch in horror as she plummets down the street where I'm in, crashing down like a fucking meteor as a minor explosion takes place. Her figure slams onto the roof of a small apartment, causing a semi-huge crater, but that doesn't stop her momentum since she then plunges down to my street after that, her figure grinds down the asphalt of my street before she ultimately collides against a garbage truck, the vehicle literally caving inward due to the speed.

"KLARA!"

Immediately I storm out of my room, still in my PJs. I pass by the kitchen of my unit, then the living room, the scent of oil choking my nostrils as I take a minor halt...

"Wha...?" It's Cas. The woman assistant bot I bought online...her screen is uh...sizzling? A few sparks come to life after I take a glance at her. Fuck did she stick her wet finger on a socket or something? No...No that's not it...

I see one of Cas' limbs jerking, while her torso spasms. That's DEFINITELY not normal. There must be a defect in her system right now...

Shit.

But what about Klara?

Urgh.

"Damn..." I mumble before I grab the key to the door of my unit, stab the key on the lock, and twist open my unit door as I sprint down the hallway of my apartment and take the steps down.

...

---

I'm already outside and it's been 17 seconds and I'm already panting like a fucking dog... Most of the time I hate my body. I want to exercise but Dad tells me to do it AFTER school--since he claims that I have to "focus on meh studies firssttt."

Well, he isn't wrong either.

Once I step out of my apartment...I'm greeted with the baffling sight of a shredded street, bits and pieces of asphalt littered in a few nearby stores, and a few scraps of rubble crumbling down the roof where Klara first crash-landed on.

"Damn it..." On my left, I look at the end of my street to see the woman herself, the dumpster truck she plunged into, caving inward due to her momentum.

I run.

Though I'm gasping for air right now, all I can really do is run to her aid and call for help.

I did exactly that.

When I finally arrive at the crash site, I stand in front of it and--huh...she's...not injured? No broken limbs... She's not bleeding or anything serious like that.

"God damn Klara..." I tip-toe through a few debris littering the area, closing in with her. When I do, I kneel on one knee and thoroughly examine her limbs. "Okay...weird that you're not injured but..still. Thank God you're miraculously alright."

"Of course I'm alright."

I jump, making me fall flat on the ground ass first.

"Whoa, you okay there hubby~?" To my surprise, Klara's apparently still kickin'.

I lay on the floor. "I thought you're fucking dead."

"Asss you can seeee," She stands up, stretching her arms, back, and neck before continuing. "I'm very much, alive~"

"Wh-Whuh...Whatever, nevermind--how're you flying...?" I ask, sitting up, looking at her now. Ah. I can see her cleavage. Her clothes are ripping off. She's revealing a lot of skin right now. Huh...Her skin-tight joggers are now reduced to skin-tight shorts...

She shrugs before waltzing out of the crash site as if it occurs on a daily basis. "Dunno. Just found out a while ago."

"A...A while ago? How long ago...?"

"Er...maybe 3 hours ago?"

I scratch my head. "Dumbass, you crashed on my street while I come runnin' tryna see if you're alright and then you just stand up as if nothing's happened?"

"Yep~"

"That's pretty sick."

"I know right? Imma do it again."
