The elevator doors opened, and Wa's mother and Lin Yishan entered. As they turned around, they noticed Wa Zicong hadn't followed.
"Zicong—" Wa's mother called out.
Wa Zicong, who had been staring out towards the parking lot, turned back and stepped into the elevator.
"What are you dazing about?" Wa's mother asked unhappily.
It was certainly unpleasant to see her son looking distracted not just once, but twice. With your own mom and fiancée right here, and you keep spacing out, thinking about other things—how could that be acceptable?
Lin Yishan too was eyeing her fiancé.
Wa Zicong pressed the elevator floor button, then turned to the two of them and said, "I thought I saw someone walking past our car, so I was just being cautious."
"What did you say? A car thief?" Wa's mother immediately exclaimed in surprise.
