"I'm going to be a mother, I'm pregnant, I have a child inside of me," Cayetana said all with more tears falling while a smile was on her face

"Damon, you're going to be a father," she said as she held his hand smiling

"We're going to be parents" Damon said tears falling from his eyes

"Thank you, Tana, thank you, baby," he said tears still falling

"Thank you for always being there for me, I love you, love you so much," Cayetana said crying

The two hugged and Damon gave her a peck on the lips

The next couple of days went by so quickly, that the two couldn't get over the fact that they were having their first child together and the plans for the funeral came up after a lot of discussion between the two they came to an agreement that they would pay for all that is need at the funeral, but for the sake of their child and Cayetana, they didn't attend the funeral, they said their sorrows and paid their respects to her father's side of the family and they absolutely understood why she would not be at the funeral and they apologised to her for everything that her father put her through, one could see how truly regretful and apologetic they were even through the phone

The funeral went on as planned and Cayetana of course got a lot of calls from reports to comment why she didn't turn for the funeral, seemed like what her father's family said to the reports just didn't please them as she thought it would

They had clearly told them that the reason why Cayetana and Damon didn't show up was because they were too far away and Cayetana was still having difficulty accepting that her father was gone

After a few days of calls and whatnot Cayetana and Damon were finally in Washington sitting next to her step sister waiting for the will to be read

"You look well" Clover said and gave Cayetana a weak smile

"So do you" Cayetana said which made Clover chuckle

"How ironic, my mother is gone and so is father, I have no one, how 'well' do I look?" She asked

"Well enough to be still cheeky"

Damon said without looking at her

"I never really got what it was about my sister that you liked, but now I see it, you're both manipulative and evil people who wouldn't flinch even when killing a person," Clover said and the couple just looked at her, gave her a smile and looked ahead

That was the answer she needed.

Like a saviour, the lawyer finally came in
