I'm Here

The car glided through the dimly lit streets, the silence within mirroring the quietude that enveloped the city. Elena sat in the passenger seat, her gaze fixed outside the window.

Her hands remained tightly crossed over her chest, a feeble attempt to shield herself from the lingering fear Weiyang had sparked. Each passing streetlight cast fleeting shadows across her face, accentuating the unease etched on her features.

Occasionally, Yuchen's concerned eyes flicked toward Elena, his worry palpable in the tense air between them. He could feel that something was happening that made Elena slap Weiyang because usually, if Elena doesn't like someone, she will choose to avoid them and still keep her smile

He hesitated for a moment, his voice soft and tentative as he broke the heavy silence. "So... Do you want to tell me what happened?" His words hung in the air, laden with both gentleness and genuine concern.
