Vol.2/Chapter 1: Day before Disaster

Scion's POV(12 hours ago)

This is such a pain in the ass, why would I need to follow this weak, malicious piece of shit that wants to destroy everything I ever loved. Damn magical collar, if I ever knew how to destroy this, I'm gonna break this old man's neck in an instant. Serving a human, ha!, I really am in my lowest.

We are camping at the other side of the cliff of the hunting grounds, surrounded by oak trees. The only thing the demiwolves can see are the smoke coming from our makeshift furnaces but I don't think there's anyone near the Hunting Grounds right now. In the first place, why would we need to attack the demiwolves? They're just peaceful, strong creatures that doesn't need to be disturbed. Well, I don't care anymore. I just need an opponent who can match my strength. And if I ever find one, I'm gonna break his bones little by little HAHAHAHA.

"Sire, why would we need to attack the demiwolves place? There's so much other races you can conquer like the elves or the dwarves?", I questioned the Inquisitor and just got disappointed and enraged by his answer.

"I just felt like doing it. So I just picked the nearest mythicals I can found. Not really a debate of who I choose, I can conquer anything anyway", He replied nonchalantly.

I just looked on the other side as hatred fills my lungs. If I could just have protected my village, I'm not in this damn collar and shackles. I still vividly remember how this very own Inquisitor, burned my home, my family, my future and everything I have known. I was weak and powerless before, but not now.

But why can't I still break free from this ever so suffocating prison?

We are now marching using the path nearest to the valley where the demiwolves live. About a thousand of soldiers cladded in almost slate colored armor slowly walks toward the destination the Inquisitor wants. Hmm? I can see tents from the distance, across the trench of the cliff, there is a herd of Longhorned Angus and there are DEMIWOLVES hunting?!

"My liege, you need to see this.", I said to the leader of this wretched group.

"Hmm, if the men of the tribe is out hunting for those cows, this is the best chance to strike them.", He said while caressing his beard. "They got no defense whatsoever so men! Pick up your pace and head straight to the wolves' den!"

Poor wolves...They didn't know what is coming. I hope I can help them but with this collar that restrains me, I can't unfollow the Inquisitor. I hate humans. I hate everyone. I need to kill.

Tyla's POV (6 hours ago):

"I wonder when is Big Bro Theo and Big Bro Luca will go home.", I said to myself.

"Meh, no point in thinking, let's just make some gifts for them for when they come back."

I really love this valley, I really love my home. This luscious, green fields, the tall mountain protecting us from the weather, it's all I could ever ask for.

I hope no one will take this home away. I will even give my life to protect this hehehe.

Thump, Thump, Thump, Thump

Eh? What is that marching sound? Sounds like soldiers marching in war.

I hid in the nearest bush to check what's up when I saw thousand of soldiers marching towards our home. They were led by an old man riding a white horse and a-a-an orc?! When did orc learn to battle with human side by side?

I need to notify the tribe. I ran as fast and sneaky as I could towards home when a group of shadows tagged along me.

"Hehehe, what do we got here? A demiwolf cub?", one of the mysterious guy told me.

"Let's bring him to the Inquisitor. Sounds like this can be used as a leverage to the demiwolves kehehehe.", another guy replied.

"W-what?! What are you talking about? Why are you attacking my precious home?", I told them angrily with my claws sharpened.

"Why, you ask? Well, we're just bored and we decided to attack you. Bring him to the Inquisitor." The supposed leader of this masked guys ordered his men around.

"You'll pay for this!", I bit the hand of the guy holding me and scratched the leader's face. His mask worn off and it showed his true face. T-they were dark elves!

"Why are you doing this?! You are mythicals! Why are you siding with humans?!", I cried when I saw what is happening.

"It's none of your fucking business, wimp.", one of the guys hit me with their bow as hard as they can as I flew across the field, hitting a boulder.

"You'll pay for this demiwolf!", the leader was about to end me when a shadow of a horse and a man riding it blocks the entire sunlight. It was the Inquisitor that saw the commotion.

"Oya? Don't hurt the little child. We can use it to distract the demiwolves.", The scrawny old man, now besides his colleagues, scratches his beard while going closer to me. My head is still bleeding from the previous attack.

"You'll pay for this! Once my mother and father learns about this, you'll be so dead!", I growled at the old man while he is still scratching his white beard.

"Hmm? So you are an important dog for the tribe that we are gonna conquer. I'll tell you what. Because I am so generous, I'll tell you my name and what's our purpose here.", The man continuously preaches about himself while his soldiers are clapping. The orc lady doesn't seem to be impressed.

I looked at the orc lady with a pleading look but instead, she just grinned and looked at the other side. I noticed the glowing collar around her neck and I immediately knew why she was helping them. She was a prisoner of war.

"I am Nikola Jeanne D'Monteau, the sixth emperor and inquisitor of the whole human race. I govern every human city, towns and provinces you can see. The technology, the machines, the warfare, it's all in my hand.", Nikola chuckles with an annoying look.

"Why am I here? Oh darling, I'm here to destroy your home.", He looks at me, winks at me then grins. A behavior fitting of an arrogant yet filthy man.

"And you know why I want to destroy your home? I'm having fun of making you suffer and I can destroy it so why the hell not?", The man laughs his head off as his whole platoon praises and commends his speech.

"Now little doggy, you are gonna be my personal pet. This white fur, this streaking glances, this built, oooh I am so gonna love it.", He reeks of lust and lasciviousness as he touches my body.

"Sir, that's just a child.", The orc lady tries to stop his master but he just looks at her with a striking glance.

"You don't have any say on this matter, wench! Now go back to your place!" Nikola shouts at her slave as the orc lady goes to his team with a saddened look.

Without any hesitation, and while the Inquisitor's hand is near me, I bit it with all my remaining strength. The man shouts in pain as the mercenaries holding me tightens their grip, leaving me no air to breathe.

"Gaaah! I-I can't- Aaaah!", my energy is slowly fading as the mercenary tightens his grip. The bleeding leader then order his man to stop choking me as I took a long, heavy gasp.

"You can never fell my parents. They are strong and once they learn about this, you are dead!" The dark elf holding me beats me up and throws me in the ground.

"You filthy, little dog. Who dares to bite me huh? No one. You're just a little kid with a good lineage and an important role in your little doggy community. Learn your place! ", The Inquisitor kicked me continuously with all his might as my consciousness fades, losing it over time.

The last thing I remembered is how they brought me in a carriage full of other slaves in all shapes, races and sizes. Children, women and even big orc men is shackled in that big carriage. My consciousness then totally gives up as I fell down the dirty heap of hay in the carriage.

Big Bro Theo...Big Bro Luca...Help me.
