With the title of an official adventurer, I stood by Alise's side, eager and determined to take on the challenges that lay ahead.
We discussed the necessary preparations to venture into the labyrinth, a place where danger and excitement intertwined.
"Kiara, now that you're an adventurer, it's crucial to prepare yourself properly for the dungeon," Alise said, her red hair blazing like fiery determination.
"I understand, Alise. I'm ready to follow your instructions," I replied, my heart brimming with anticipation.
Alise smiled warmly, her emerald eyes reflecting the spirit of adventure. "First, we'll need to get you equipped with the right gear. As an adventurer, your equipment is crucial to your survival in the dungeon," she explained.
I complied to her suggestion and she brought me to the marketplace, where various stalls offered a wide array of weapons, armor, and items suited for adventurers.
The sights and sounds of the bustling market filled the air, and I couldn't help but feel like a kid in a candy store.
"Here we have a selection of weapons," Alise said, leading me to a stall displaying an array of swords, bows, and other weapons. "Choose one that feels comfortable in your hands."
I carefully examined the weapons, trying a few swings to find the right fit. After some thoughtful consideration, I decided on a short and lightweight sword. It felt natural, and I knew it would serve me well in close combat.
Next, we moved to the armor stall, where protective gear awaited. Alise advised me on selecting lightweight armor that provided both protection and agility. I settled on a set of small elven armor, perfectly suited to my youthful appearance.
Once my gears were chosen, Alise then took me to another stall that sold various consumables and potions. "These will be essential for healing and sustaining yourself during long explorations in the dungeon," she said.
I purchased potions for healing and bandages, as well as some basic supplies like food and water. Being well-prepared was a key principle of any successful adventurer.
With my equipment and supplies in hand, Alise led me to a training area within the Familia's headquarters. "Now, it's time to familiarize yourself with swordsmanship and hone your combat skills," she said, handing me a wooden practice sword.
I accepted the practice sword, eager to learn. "Please teach me well, Alise," I said with determination in my voice.
Under Alise's expert guidance, I began my training, feeling the weight of the sword in my hands and the ache on my body as we proceed to spar with each other.
-------------------------------------------
After hours of intense training, Alise had imparted her expertise, teaching me the proper footwork, sword techniques, and defensive maneuvers.
My body ached from the effort, but I could feel myself growing more confident in handling the sword.
"Good job, Kiara. You're a quick learner," Alise praised, wiping the sweat from her brow.
"Thank you, Alise. Your guidance has been invaluable," I replied, trying to catch my breath.
Alise smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting pride in her pupil. "You have great potential, Kiara. With determination and practice, you'll become a formidable adventurer in no time."
I nodded, grateful for her encouragement. "I'll do my best, Alise. I want to become a skilled adventurer and make a difference in this world."
"I have no doubt you will," she said with confidence. "But remember, the dungeon is a dangerous place. Always stay alert and never underestimate the monsters lurking within."
"I understood. I promise to be very careful," I replied, taking her advice to heart.
While we were having our conversation, I noticed Kaguya, Lyra, and Ryuu approaching us with curious expressions.
"Hey, Alise! What's going on here? Training the new kid?" Kaguya called out with grace and elegance.
Lyra chimed in, "Looks like she's got a lot to learn!"
Ryuu, with her calm and stoic demeanor, seemed more reserved, her eyes studying me intently.
"Yes, I've been teaching Kiara the basics of swordsmanship," Alise replied, not missing a beat. "And she's been doing exceptionally well."
I blushed at the praise but stood tall, determined to prove myself to my new companions.
"That's impressive. We could use some fresh blood with potential in our adventures," Kaguya said, giving me an approving nod.
Lyra's eyes sparkled mischievously. "True, but let's see how she handles the real thing in the dungeon."
Ryuu, though reserved, finally spoke, her voice calm and measured. "It's good to have you with us, Kiara. Just remember to stay focused and work together as a team."
"Thank you, everyone. I will not let you all down," I said, feeling a sense of belonging among the group.
With the approval of my new companions and Alise's guidance, I knew I was on the right path to becoming a true adventurer.
-----------------------------------------
Excited to join the journey in the dungeon, I was eager to train myself and hone my sword skills. Thankfully, three of my Familia members were more than willing to help me in my training.
Kaguya, with her graceful and elegant movements, took it upon herself to teach me a special sword technique she had inherited from her family.
Her training style was quite intense, but she was patient with me, pushing me to my limits to improve my skills.
"Focus, Kiara! Your footwork needs to be more precise," Kaguya would say as she demonstrated the technique.
Lyra, on the other hand, taught me the art of exploiting an opponent's weakness. She was cunning and had a keen eye for finding vulnerabilities in our enemies.
She also tried to teach me a few tricks from her other passion, poker. However, Ryuu immediately intervened, reminding her that I was still just a child.
"Don't worry, Kiara. You'll learn the tricks of the trade soon enough," Lyra whispered with a playful wink.
Lastly, Ryuu's lesson focused more on the cultural aspects of being an elf. She taught me everything about elven etiquette and their customs.
"Remember, Kiara, as an elf, you should never let strangers touch your body or even look in your direction. Elves are a superior race, and we must carry ourselves with dignity," Ryuu explained.
I couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable with such a blunt statement, but I understood that she was only trying to instill a sense of pride in my elven identity.
However, her teachings sometimes clashed with my own beliefs about equality and justice. I always wanted to be treated as an equal, despite of my race.
During one of our training sessions, I finally mustered the courage to ask Ryuu about this matter. "Hey Ryuu, isn't it important to treat everyone with respect and fairness, regardless of their race?"
Ryuu paused for a moment, her expression is somewhat unreadable, before responding, "Listen Kiara, here in Orario, the place can be harsh and unforgiving. As an elf, you will face discrimination and prejudice. It's essential to be strong and carry yourself with pride to earn respect."
I took in her words, realizing that there might be some truth to what she said.
While I still believed in justice and equality, I also understood that survival in this world would require me to navigate through the complexities of its society.
In the end, I decided that I would stay true to my principles while also learning to adapt to the harsh reality of this world has to offer.

As I continued my training with Kaguya, Lyra, and Ryuu, I also had the opportunity to interact with the other members of the Astraea Familia. Each of them had a unique personality that left a lasting impression on me.
In the halls of the Astraea Familia, the lively and energetic werewolf, Neze Rankett, was like a whirlwind of excitement. With her warm smile, she welcomed me into the fold, eager to share her knowledge of combat techniques. Her light-colored hair and choice of light clothing matched her lively personality perfectly.
As I continued my training, I found myself intrigued by the elegant and confident amazoness, Iska Bra. She was a force to be reckoned with, her tall and imposing figure making her stand out among the group. At first, I felt intimidated by her, but as we sparred together, I realized she had a deep sense of camaraderie and a sharp wit that often broke the tension.
Just like a protective big sister, Maryuu Reage had a stern demeanor, but her eyes held warmth and concern for all of us. She watched over our progress with a keen eye, always ready to offer guidance and support. I admired her strong and nurturing presence in the Familia.
Amidst the training sessions, I encountered the calm and gentle Noin Unic. With her soothing voice and serene demeanor, she brought a sense of peace to the group. Noin was a good listener, always ready to lend an ear and offer thoughtful advice. Her quiet strength made her a pillar of support for all of us.
But the training wasn't just about serious practice, Asta Knox, the shield-wielding dwarf, made sure of that. She knew how to have fun, and during breaks, she'd challenge us to playful competitions. Her serious training sessions contrasted with her light-hearted moments, making her a captivating figure to be around.
Ryana Lietz, the human mage with a talent for fire magic, was like a blazing spark in our midst. Her enthusiasm for exploration and her eagerness to try new things ignited our spirits. With a twirl of her fingers, she'd conjure flames that danced in the air, leaving us all in awe.
Finally, there was Celty Srowa, an elf with short green hair and glasses. Initially, I mistook her for a boy due to her tomboyish appearance, as well as her shy and quiet demeanor. But when I got to know her better, I discovered she was amazingly bright and had a knack for solving problems.
Being part of the Astraea Familia felt like being part of a diverse and tight-knit family. Each member had their own quirks and strengths, and they all welcomed me with open arms.
As the days passed, I continued to train and learn from my Familia members. I was grateful for their guidance and friendship, and I knew that with their support, I would be ready to take on the challenges that awaited me in the labyrinth.
