Chapter 7 : Skill Testing And Sword Training

2 weeks later.

I was slacking off in my bed right now. I just woke up and was reminiscing about the things I did these last weeks. Ah, me slacking right now doesn't I slacked on these weeks, of course.

Because of me knowing now how to operate my Skill, I tried various things that I could do. First, for example, I created spells and 'recorded' them. First spell I crwated was that of a Fireball, but after that day I've been creating spells that would help me in the later date.

One example was me creating elemental magics and like , , and so on. Their names even came from the original spells you can see from Attribute Magics. I guess it's so I can camouflage myself that I have these Skills..?

No, maybe not. After all, someone who can use that many elements are already suspicious, and I don't even need or want to hide my Skill. Of course, I know that may come with some consequences, but... I surprisingly don't care about that.

After creating some spells that I got from the books I have, I started to create something that could potentially help me in the future. For example, .

This works just like the thing from the Guild which you can see your stats, but this was apparently more of convenience to me. I could see my own stats without going through the Guild, and I can even see the stats of orhers or informations about an item.

Another one was . This one is a passive and kinda active spell. What I mean by those is, an active spell needs to be activated by the user. Passive spell, long story short, was always active. It doesn't mean it was draining my magic though because it was always active...

Going back, is a spell that you can activate or may activate by itself. This spell lets you know the true intention of an individual you are takking to. While it could be activated, it was also a passive spell due to how it activates itself when it picked up ominous thoughts that may put the user at disadvantages.

Thinking back now, it's kinda a great spell, wasn't it? In these past weeks, I could've created so many spells, but yhere was a drawback from my Skill. One was that by creating these spells, it drains much of my magic power that, for example: I have full magic power when I created the , but my magic power dropped to 60% just creating that spell.

Moreover, I cannot create spells that is impossible for me to handle right now, or spells I cannot understand. The example for that problems was when I thought of trying to create a spell that could return me to Earth. I tried to produce it, however, nothing activated.

It even endangered my life because it literally sucked all of my magic power trying to create that spell. I mean, just from suddenly dropping your magic power, yoi'll feel kinda dizzy, what's more if you had been sucked dry just from the spell trying to activate?

Fortunately I cancelled it before I fainted, for a literal whole day it worried my family. I don't wanna create spells that I don't know how it works ever since.

After all these thoughts, I finally stood up from my bed and got ready. I need to, after all. I would now meet the adventurer my father hired to reach me swordsmanship.

A thought might come from whoever mind it was that, "Your mom was a swordsman also, right? Why hire others?"

Well... I also wondered at firsttgat I asked Dad about it.. Mom was a B-class adventurer before she met Dad, was what Dad said. However...

"It will be a disaster if she tried to teach you," Dad seriously said to me. Turns put Mom doesn't know how to teach, but more than that... she doesn't know how to hold back. I immediately know what might become of me if Mom taught me personally. Actually, that was her plan, but Dad managed to convince her. I owe you my life, Dad.

Now then, I set aside all those thoughts and came down. I was greeted by them on the table. Algen being up early was kinda rare though.

"Hm? You're up early now, Algen. Something happened?" I joked around to so as to liven my mood a little, but then Algen said something that surprised me.

"Yes! Brother will meet your teacher later right? I wanna join in!" he said.

"Uh...? You want to join in?" I asked again. "Does Dad know this already?" I added while looking at Dad eating.

He replied, "Well, he said he wanted to try it too, so wouldn't object. Well, if he could learn a bit of fighting, it might help him in the future," Dad said as he continued to eat. I don't have any objections so I just let it be.

"Oh, that thing... what was it called? Gun, was it? The blacksmith said said that it would be finished this time or tommorrow. We'll pick it up the day after tommorrow, to be sure," Dad said.

Now, really?! I want to try it as soon as possible, but it can wait. After that we continued to eat and then set on our way. Algen and I were going to the Guild to meet our supposed to be teacher. I wonder what he looks like?

And as soon as we get into the Guild, I greeted Rigel-san who greeted me back too. I then looked at the people in the guild, trying to know who might be our teacher while holding Algen's hand. And then a voice called toward us.

"You, are you Zen Akroth?" the voice came louder as the owner gets closer. I looked behind and what stood there was... eh? I looked at 'her'.

Standing there was a woman in her early 20's. Her equipment looks upgraded, with her two swords hung at her back. Her eyes was a like a green emerald, with her orange hair swaying on a ponytail. She... she was kinda cute for some reason.

Then she began circling at us, looking at every nook and cranny of our bodies then suddenly said, "Heh... you look like a copy of your Dad, eh? And this little one... mhm, you really look just like Eris-neesan!"

"Wait, hold on, you know our mother?" I asked her. I did not knkw about this.

"Yep! Wait, didn't your father told you? Oh well, that looks just like Glenn. Oh, I'm Rinne. I'm partied with your mom often before. She was kinda our reliable big sister in our party," Rinne-san said reminiscing at the old days.

"Well, introduction's over, let's go? Where do you want to train?" she said while urging us to walk. I told her we're going to the hill outside, the one I always go to and the place where I awakened my memories.

After going there, we relaxed a little, then Rinne-san started by streching up. Naturally, we followed. Algen's movement is kinda awkward though.

"Alright, stretching finished! Now then, let's get to the part. Have you guys ever swung a sword?" she asked us while tilting her head, which makes her look cute that her age was kinda looking like an error. We said no to the question, and this is her reaction:

"Mhm, I see! Then," she gave us a wooden sword she prepared. Then she mercilessly added, "Now then, you get to swing a sword! Start with swinging it vertically 200 times! Oh, but Algen would only take 50 for now."

"Eh?!" That's too many for a swing right?! You're joking, right? But as much as I hoped she was, she isn't. She even said "starting"... just how much was she planning for us to swing this wooden sword...?

After that, Rinne-san continued to be strict with us, and we swung our sword vertically and horizontally until our hands become numb.
