Chapter 19 : Child Beloved By Spirits (1)

The goblins continued to charge against me. The undeads have tried to do suicide attack, not caring if they were cut, some throwed rocks, other charged with their clubs anf swung it at me.

As for me, I continued to dodge their attacks, cut them, shoot them and fire magic at them despite my injured body. The Gobli-let's just call him Shaman King. He fired magic at me, which I recognize was high magic 'Disastrous Flare'.

I jumped out at my place after seeing the magic circle he created. After that, a tornado of flame shot up where I was previously standing. It was so big it scorched the ground and goblins alike.

But where I should land also erupted wih fire, and I have to activate "Air Step' to kick the air and evade. But I won't last longer if I continued to deplete my magic. I could also just deplete it to wipe everything here, but then the 'Camouflage' I casted on Eina will disappear, I'll faint and we'll get attacked by other nearby monsters.

"Mom..? Dad..? Why are you here?"

She asked them. But they didn't move, only smiled at Eina.

She then tried to get near them.

But it was like the distance never closed. She ran into them. She ran and ran. But she never reached them.

Then a change began.

Her beloved Mom gained bruises and wounds. Her face scrunched up in pain. Eina was shaken seeing that. Her Dad also began changing.

His eyes changed into red. His skin turned crimson. Horns sprouted in his head. His smile—no, wicked grin deepened.

And they changed into last form, the 'spheres' when they were summoned by Zen. And then, their voice echoed.

""We're always here. Be safe.""

"Mom! Dad!"

She shouted, but they never responded. Their image disappeared into the dark. And then...

-*Eina POV*-

I woke up from my 'dream'. But what greeted me was a new plane, this time a colorful one.

Huh?

But didn't I woke up? Why am I still in a dream?

Then, from the colors in the plane, something materialised in each colors. They were... spheres? They seem to be spheres made of magic.

Then those colorful spheres get near me. And suddenly, I heard voices.

〔Hello!〕

〔Is this her?〕

〔Seems like it, yep!〕

〔What a beautiful child.〕

〔She really is.〕

〔I feel glad she's the one...〕

"What..?"
