Time Spent with Fumiko (Revised) – A New World Arc (16)

It's been a few hours since we talked to Lord Welcia. I go to where Hana and our parents are and I am sitting across the room from where Hana is. I am surrounded by guards and I am looking at Fumiko and Hana writing together

I wonder when I will get out of this. The guards are way too cautious. Well, they should be cautious around us, but it's a pain in the neck.

I rose up from the chair I was seated in and the guards followed me

"How is everything going you 2?"- I got closer to Fumiko and Hana while the guards were following my movements

Fumiko approached me dressed in a new dress than the one she wore before. It's a pink and blue dress that has stripes on it, all in all, she looks elegant beyond measure

"Isn't this cute, Hana picked it up for me. Do you like it Hikaru?"- Fumiko said to me, oblivious or not caring about the guards around me. She slowly spun around holding parts of her dress in her hands.

"Yeah, it looks cute on you Fumiko."- It's true, she looks cute in the dress. She looks good now, not gonna lie. I am still not a lolicon tho

!Or you can admit you are a Lolicon and don't deny it every time I bring it up. Face it, you are into young-looking girls that are short.!

I am mentally slapping myself at Sia's comments on me and my taste in girls. It's true, I like people who have a cute look to them, Fumiko and Hana being two of them. Fumiko has that short and cute look while Hana has the tall and smart cute look to her.

I can hear Hana laughing on the other side of the telepathic link.

"Anyway, I talked to your father, and he decided to take my deal. I want to find a way to cure him as well, but that has to wait. I will look into it once we finish this task first." I am trying not to scar Fumiko that much with our actions. In the end, she will still be scarred by what we did to her father, but some things can't be avoided.

"No, don't go just yet. I want you 2 to stay here more. I want you 2 to teach me how to fight. I want to fight the same way Hikaru and Hana fight!"- She looked at Hana and me with enthusiasm.

"Ok, I can't say no to you, can I?"- I replied while patting her on the head,. This feels so good

"I am so happy. From now on I will call you Teacher Hikaru. How does that sound?"- Fumiko had a smug look on her face

"That will be great, but Hikaru will work just fine"- I can't believe I am being called a teacher and I have a student. Probably, like every kid, she will forget it, but why am I referring to her as a kid, her illness or whatever makes her act like a child can have you fooled about her real age

"You want to train Fumiko in combat? I happen to be here to hear it"- Lord Welcia is at the door and coughs a lot before starting to speak

"Yes, she asked to be trained so why shouldn't we accept her wish? Plus you will have us train her, you can come and watch us. But first, does your daughter have any weapon preference?"- I looked once at Fumiko and once at her father

"As I know she is good with using smaller Swords that otherworlders bring here, I saw her use some of them from time to time. I don't know what they are called"- He must be referring to a sword of some kind.

"I got it. I have the perfect weapon for this"- I used my ice mastery to create an ice blade that resembles a Tanto sword, I recreated it from my own memories, might not be the most accurate, but it will do. I gave the small Tanto to Fumiko.

"It's that an Ice Sword? It looks very sturdy. Did you make it?"- The lord walked and inspected the sword took it from Fumiko's hands and then gave it back to her

"Yes, I have Ice Mastery skill, it only needs my mana to function, it works with other people's mana as well"- Or so I hope

"Sia?"

!You are correct. Other people can also channel their mana into this sword and it will be able to do ice attacks as well as normal slashes!

"That sounds like an interesting weapon that you have there kid. Well, Fumiko needs some training so I will let her train with the 2 of you. I will be present there as well along with my guards, I can't trust you two completely yet"- We got Fumiko out of the mansion and to the training grounds of the mansion. These training grounds have a lot more stuff than those in Welcia Academy. And of course, as Lord Welcia promised he followed us here along with his guards

"Ok, Fumiko follow my movements closely. Grip your sword with your main hand, I will show you first"- I am standing in front of a big, sturdy log that had been freshly cut, these usually are used by people to train and hone their skills, but in our case, we can chop these logs with mere katanas

I made another ice sword for myself and then changed its shape into a Katana. I gripped it with my left hand and delivered a diagonal slash to the upright log, slashing it in half.

"That looks so good Hikaru. I want to try it as well"- Fumiko gripped the sword with her right hand and tried to slash at the remaining half of the log but she only made a small scratch on it. She doesn't have enough strength to do more.

"Well, you will need to try over and over again to be able to cut it. May I ask what level are you?"

"I am level 10. What levels are the 2 of you?"- She seems pretty weak for a level 10 human, I thought Humans at level 10 are stronger than that.

!She is a human Hikaru, Humans have lower stats than monsters, the stats are decided by the class and her class isn't an attack class so Fumiko has a hard time doing any physical damage!

"Yeah, but what class is she?"- I know only of a few RPG classes but there seem to be a lot more in here

!She is in the Potioneer class. This class specializes in potions, I think you know what you need to do right?!

"Hey, Fumiko, you are a Potioneer, right? Why not make a few strength potions to boost your strength for a while and then try them. Maybe throw in a few speed potions in there"- Fumiko stopped hitting the log

"No, I would have said it from the start if I wanted to do that. But for me, that doesn't count as training. I want to raise my strength stat naturally. And…."- Fumiko's speech seems more mature now, why is that?

!She burned enough of her mana, and she has an illness called Mana Overflow Syndrome. When a human is born with monster levels of mana, they usually suffer from the symptoms that Fumiko does, they usually don't live long unless they have a way to burn excess mana. Fumiko burns mana to improve her strength and how much natural strength she will gain from training. Currently, she has burnt enough to go back to an 18 to 20 mental age instead of her usual 15 or 14!

"Wait. Sorry for that. I will keep at it!"- Her demeanor changed, she was less juvenile in her speech and also seemed a lot more mature than before. Lord Welcia looked at Fumiko, and a few tears went down his face.

Fumiko kept hitting the log with all of her power until she managed to slice it. Took her about 100 strikes to cut it.

"Finally…. I managed to… cut it!"- Fumiko, exhausted walked up to Hana and me and she shook our hands. She felt exhausted toward Hana, and in response Hana caught her. Seems like she fell asleep, too tired from swinging a sword 100 times

"Hikaru, you can go and rest, I will stay with Fumiko and then return, you have done enough for today. Go and rest. I will be there with you shortly"- Hana spoke aloud.

!Confirming what Hana said, Orcs need less sleep but demons need a lot more sleep than normal monsters!

"Why didn't you tell me earlier Sia?"

!You didn't need to know so I didn't tell you, but now it's crucial!

I left to sleep for the next day. The next day we are going to the neighboring lord so that we can enact our plan.
