Ikrel City Tour (2) (Revised) – Rising Up Arc (3)

We still didn't need to finish the city, so Fumiko offered to guide us here. Apparently, she visited the town a few times with her father. Well, that's handy. Still, I can't explain how some people knew that we were monsters

! It's due to them being monsters and being able to recognize you. They can't see through Lucifer, but they figure it out or guess you are a demon!

"Hikaru, let's go to the weapon and skill shops next. Maybe there is something that you can buy there and use yourself, or maybe Hana can get a new weapon there. Don't worry about the cost. I will be paying for you 2."- Fumiko continued to walk around and explore every little corner of the town, or at least what she could explore in a few minutes. She looked at the city in a way that told us she had been here before, but things had changed significantly since then.

We stopped in front of a store that said ^ Clothing store ^ That's our stop before the weapons and skill store.

"So, we are looking to buy new clothes, huh?"- Looking at the shop sign, I was piqued by my interest. We need some new clothes, with some properties that are used to hide aura and magic.

"Well, there is something that you like in there Hikaru, so why not try to see what's in there!"- Hana and I entered the shop as Fumiko instructed.

"Hello, you 3. What might you want in this shop?"- The woman working at the clothes shop greeted us with a warm smile.

"We are just browsing."- The woman looked down at Fumiko; her height makes her look like a kid; she sometimes acts like one. How do I get her to stop acting like a child for an extended period?

!The answer is to have something to control her mana. She currently thinks like a childish adult, but if you have her control over mana, she can stay at the mental age of 22 for a more extended period!

"So, in theory, if an object can absorb her overflowing mana, then she will be able to stay at the 22 mental age for longer." Is there something else that can be done?

!There is one thing that can be done. We can have her acquire more skills. Let me explain how skills work in this world!- Sia paused for a second.

"Ok, I will let you explain." I looked around the clothes shop, and there were many choices. I settled on a black suit spacious black suit with 2 buttons and some black shoes. Hana bought some white pants, a green coat, and brown shoes. I doubt she will wear them since she always wears the silver jacket she always carries, but maybe she will wear them occasionally.

It's a good idea to pick some other type of clothes like pyjamas for us to wear at night; I bought a pair for the 2 of us, 1 for the hotter seasons and 1 for the colder seasons. In total, 4 pairs of pyjamas were purchased, plus what we had chosen previously.

!I am ready to tell you how skills work in this world. Skills are embedded in your souls once you receive them; the more mana you have, the more skills you can have; once you obtain a skill, your maximum mana is reduced, but you can use it for a minimal cost. Fumiko has a few skills right now, but she will need a lot more to combat the mana she has. I suggest you use predator, absorb as many monster skills as possible, and share them with Fumiko!- This might do the trick. But we can't kill monsters for now.

"Sia, is there another way to get skills from monsters if monster hunting is illegal around these parts unless you have permission from the lord?" Everyone stares at me while I am drifting off and speaking to Sia. Hana is the only one who can hear the conversation.

"Hikaru, I think you already realized people are watching in this shop haven't you?"- Hana spoke over the telepathic link with me.

"Yes, sorry"

I snapped out of it and got out of the shop; I stored the clothes in my spatial storage; we are now going to the skill shop to see what skills we can buy and then learn from the shop; I don't even know what this whole skill buying and learning works.

The skill shop was close to us. The interior was nothing to scoff at; it looked pristine, and many scrolls were behind the shopkeeper. We hit the jackpot. We can have Fumiko learn these skills and have her mana under control.

"What brings you here?"- This time, a man is running a shop; he looks a little bit older, maybe in his middle 40s, and reminds me of one of my school teachers. What was his name? I can't remember, but this old man seemed more friendly than what I remember of that teacher.

"Well, we are looking for some skills; what skills do you have here?"- Fumiko is curious about the skill scrolls. I don't know how one is supposed to learn a skill from a scroll; as of now, we learned skills from killing monsters or doing something related to that skill.

"Well, we might have some good skills, but without telling me what you need them for, it will be harder for me to say which skill is good for you 3."- The man looked at Fumiko and then at Hana and, lastly, at me.

!We can get one of Hana's skills to unlock the Legendary Skill Shadow Frenzy. You must acquire spatial movement skills, Godspeed, and shadow run!

"Sir, do you have by chance either one of these skills? Spatial Movement, Godspeed, and Shadow Run?"- The man looked at us for a second and then went into the back of the shop. Is this a good sign or something?

"Yes, but only 1 of them. Spatial Movement is the only skill I have a scroll for. You need to try somewhere else to see if they have the Godspeed skill. The skill Shadow Run is evolved from the skill Shadow Walk, which evolves from Shadow Step which evolves from the skill Insidious. If you already have that skill you should be able to unlock the skill you want rapidly."- The old timer knows his stuff. Or so it seems. Maybe I should check with Sia.

"I already have that skill. Thank you for the skill scroll."- Hana bowed and then learned the skill from the scroll. I don't know how she did it, but.

#Hana has learned the skill of spatial Movement#

Fumiko paid for the skill.

"Hey, sir, do you have a skill that is very powerful?"- He then looked at me with a confused look.

"I have one, but you need a lot of mana to use the skill. It's called Meteor Havoc."- He looked at me with apprehension.

"That sounds like a cool name. Can I keep the skill, Hikaru?"- Fumiko looked at me again with those same eyes she made when she wanted to go to the sweet shop.

"Sure, the skill is for you in the first place to defend yourself, Fumiko."- Her eyes lit up, and she paid the total price for the skill. The shop owner handed the skill to Fumiko somewhat cautiously. Apprehension is visible in his eyes. Fumiko opened the skill scroll to learn the skill.

"Ok, don't cause any Havoc in the city with it, please. You never know with kids these days."- The man looked at Fumiko with a smirk.

"I am 22 years old. I am an adult capable of making informed decisions."- In a rather childish manner, Fumiko pouted and turned away from the man.

! It's working. Her mental age is increasing from 15 to 20 years old!

"Thank goodness that it's working. Will she be able to stay mentally 20 for a long time now?"

! if she keeps moving and doing intellectual work, her mental age shouldn't falter!

"Ok, you 3 take care!"- The man waved us off. When we went outside, the day was still on. We have much more to explore in the city of Ikrel.
