A white Fenrir?

Both Hana and I felt a chill run down our spines when we heard about it. The Fenrir is a creature that holds the Demon Lord Sproutling. I assume it's very strong, and we stand no chance of fighting it—at least not in our state. What can we do now? We are in our cabin.

"Maybe we can talk it out, maybe you should hide Fumiko.!"- Hana shouted while running to the door. I did the same thing; for a second, it seemed like Fenrir had lost us, but no, it wasn't. It's just masking its presence. A creature this powerful will do it without breaking a sweat. I am watching one of the cabin windows.

"There!"- Hana talked with me via the telepathic network

She pointed out the general area where the Fenrir could be coming from

All 3 of us ran out of the cabin, a mistake, but it was our only choice; we were just sitting ducks there.

A giant white wolf cut our path shortly after we started running.

"I just want to talk. Sorry for scaring you 3"- The giant wolf spoke in a booming and echoing voice, much taller than a Magi Wolf. It has fur white as snow, and its eyes seem a little off for a wolf, but its aura is not threatening, or so I hope.

"Fine. But don't sneak up on people like that"- Hana breathed a sigh of relief. Fumiko fell to the ground, gasping for air. Wait, was she holding her breath?

"I don't have time. I want to test the 2 of you right now. You must pass my tests."- What is the wolf talking about? What test?

"What tests are you going to put them through?"- Fumiko asked the wolf after she recovered.

"You will see shortly. Now, you 2. Try to take these 2 sprouting from me."- A bright red light enveloped the Fenrir, turning it into a tall, pale-skinned, slender girl with silver hair.

"How is a monster like that able to transform into a human?"- Fumiko looked at Fenrir in amazement.

"Well, there are the personification and humanification skills. My kind, although rarely is born with this skills. Once you have these skills you are a human stuck in a wolf's body"- The girl stretched her body for a bit. I don't know if I can take her on

"They are here!"- Hana smiled at her.

"Now, how did the two of you do it? I am confused. I didn't feel anything or feel like it was grabbed. Hikaru said he gave up, so I went to help him, and now they are there?" She looked confused. She looked at us for over 10 minutes.

"Wait, you have shadow magic? It makes sense now. It was so improbable that I excluded it in the first place."- She looked at the ground.

"Yes, is it not common to hear about shadow magic here?"- She looked scared when I mentioned it.

"Yes, it's very rare, only demons and people of the assassin class have it, even among them shadow magic is rare. It's the magic that can only be seen by someone that has shadow magic as well as the Shadow Eye skill. The skill that I don't possess. I couldn't even detect your tendrils."

"Look, we didn't fairly obtain the items from you; it was done more through deceit. You can have them back. We will challenge you again when we are stronger than this. Hana, please, give them back." Hana and I returned the sprouting to the Fenrir.

She paused and giggled for a second.

"You 2 can keep them. I don't need them. I know that the next 2 demon lords will be good people. That's the easiest part when you want to become a demon lord. The next part is about subordinates and soul gathering. I wish you 2 luck with that"- She left. She returned the Demon Lord Sproutlings to us.

Me and Hana consumed the 2 Sproutlings.

We continued to walk with Fumiko by our side until we reached the cabin.

That meeting with the Fenrir left Hana and me exhausted. Days feel like they are going by too fast. We must prepare for this week when Fumiko will become the Lord of Welcia and Ikrel domains. The amount of work she will have to do will be colossal. Maybe Ayame will be able to join us shortly.
