Some of the guests are already leaving, and Luke is finally able to talk to Ana after overhearing Justin and Ana's conversation earlier. 

  Earlier: 

"Justin, I need to talk to Luke! I've been trying to talk to him for days, I even went to the school and he wouldn't see me! I spent an hour there waiting, then the secretary came and said he couldn't come to the phone, the other day he wasn't there! I've been waiting there for an hour, and I have no rights, especially when it comes to my son!" 

Justin listens intently, then adjusts his glasses as he speaks. 

"I wasn't aware of that part, but I know Luke, he would never stop seeing you or talk to you, that's really strange!" 

"Don't defend him Justin!  I didn't come here to make a fuss, I have class, he doesn't have the slightest right to diss me, let alone my son!" 

"No, I'm not, calm down, I'm not taking away your reason in any way." 

"And he... gee, he's coming back and he's not even going to look for his son? I left with Luan, yes, I did, because I needed to, I couldn't, but I had to...after what happened...I didn't know what to do, my parents only did what they thought was right too! I didn't even want to go back, but I'm here because Luan wanted to." 

What he heard made him think for the rest of the party, but he had a party in progress with lots of guests so he had to smile even if he didn't want to, so he waited for a moment to call her to talk, he saw Ana standing against the wall waiting for the party to end, he called her and asked her to come to the office. 

"Anaa, good to see you, how are you?" 

She faces him. 

"Luke, did you decide to talk to me now? Aren't you busy today? Don't you want me to come back later?" 

Luke closes the office doors to give them more privacy, so there's a silence in the air, then Luke begins to speak. 

"Well, about me not talking before, I just waited for the right moment, our last goodbye wasn't the best, I know it was very hard for you, and I wasn't angry that you took Luan away, I wish things had worked out, but I know it's totally my fault, so I was wondering how I could make it right, but I can't make up for the pain I caused you, and no I wasn't aware that you went to school to look for me, I wasn't busy and I didn't ask to come back later, I would never ignore you or stop talking to you especially when it's about something important and related to our son Luan. " 

Ana listens attentively. 

"What about that photo Luke?" 

Luke is surprised that she found out about it. 

"It really is me in the photo." 

"But I wasn't paying anyone to hit my son, that's absurd! What I really did was go after the culprits and I ended up finding out that they received money, whoever took the photo was probably the one who hired them to do it, and they tried to use that against me and Luan. I could have finished them off right there, but I didn't." 

Then Emily knocks on the door, she opens it and speaks. 

"Luke, the guests are waiting to say goodbye." 

Ana then stares at Emily and Luke together and thinks: 

(Hey, his secretary didn't tell him about my visit, but I'm a student's mother! She must know about Luan, right? Um, do they have a romantic relationship? But what have I got to do with it? I have nothing to do with my ex-husband, imagine... just because he's still handsome, it seems like time hasn't even passed for him... how can that be? Rumm no distractions Ana...) 

Then Ana goes out and speaks loudly: 

"I'm off Luke, you're busy today too right! See you later darling." 

Luke then gets excited. 

"Darling? She said darling!" 

Luke then shoots back: 

"Are you going already? But where's my hug?" 

Ana just looks serious and leaves. 

(He's crazy, isn't he? He disappears for years and then wants a hug? Haha...I'd like to throttle him, really).
