The new Time Conjuring Magician Part 2
A moment later, Mark's group are still having problems with the conjuring and are trying at all costs to open Gate 3, but they're not succeeding, because many demons are starting to invade the map of Gate 2, which Mr. Scoot wasn't expecting, and he looks at the screen angrily.
As Luan and Derick enter Gate 3, they have to mark the two Level 3 demons, which are much bigger than them, about a meter taller, and have wings, which can make marking them a little more complicated. Luan and Derick look at each other and decide to focus on a single demon, Derick prepares his bow and arrow and starts shooting arrows at one of the demons, and Luan runs towards the other, the demon sees Luan approaching and so it spreads its wings and flies away trying to escape, Luan then says:
"Oh, so you want to run away from me? haha"
He looks at the time clock, and it's already been 1:20 hours of Testing, and he knows that his body seems to be a little weak, due to the magic that Luan has already used, and he decides to finish the Test soon, and for that he uses his power, and thus begins to break the bones of the 2 demons,
Crack Crack Crack Crack....
Derick has already managed to mark one of the demons, so all that's left is Luan's. The demon begins to lose strength and falls to the ground, with that Luan jumps on him and rips him apart with his dagger from end to end, the demons are immobilized after being marked, Derick notices that this is already going too far and before the bone-breaking demon ends up killing the 2 demons, he takes the whistle that his father is hanging around his neck and begins to play it:
"That's enough for today, time for a beast to get some sleep..."
Fweet, fweeeeeet
Luan begins to hear the sound of the whistle, it's really loud, he puts his hand to his head and bends down, the broken-boned demon looks at Derick and speaks:
"I told you we'd win...hunf, I'll be back soon "buddy" haha"
Luan closes his eyes, he keeps his hand on his head, probably feeling some discomfort, and opens his eyes again and realizes he's somewhere else, he looks around confusedly, until he looks up and sees Derick standing there looking at him:
"Derick?! But how did I get here? Which Gate are we at?"
Derick stares at Luan, and lets out a smile of relief, Luan is back to his senses:
"Whew... I never thought I'd feel so happy to see you... we'll have to conjure them up yet!"
Luan looks confused, seeing Derick smiling at him, then quickly understands what has happened, but doesn't remember exactly what happened before, only remembers that he was at Gate 1, he looks at the clock and realizes that they need to finish the test they look at the 2 demons apparently with broken bones but still alive, so he quickly takes his Ritual Dagger, goes to the Magic Circle and starts the whole process again, Derick goes to the center of the Circle next to Luan, and points his Amulet upwards and says:
"Time to finish this Test!"
Luan smiles, he looks tired, and again the two manage to finish the Conjuration, Demons conjured for good, end of test for Luan and Derick, the Exit gate finally opens, they can get out of there, when they are close to the Gate they see the President of the DSO waiting for them, when they get close the President bends down apologizing for what happened and then congratulates them:
"Hello Luan and Derick, I apologize most humbly, we had a glitch at Gate 1, which caused an inconvenience for you Luan, and you Derick. And congratulations, you have successfully completed the Awakening Test! Congratulations Luan, you're the new Time Conjuring Magician, we'll start celebrating soon!
Derick doesn't understand:
"Fault, what Fault is Luan talking about?
Luan then puts his hand to his head and scratches it, then says:
"I think they wanted to test me at Gate 1, but it was no big deal, Mr. President and calm down Derick, everything is fine." hehe
Derick still doesn't understand, when they hear a security guard talking on the radio that the President is holding:
"Alert, Mr. President, we're having problems at Gate 3 of Group B, are you listening?"
Luan's eyes widen, Derick is also surprised and at the same time they both look at each other and Luan says:
"We can go and help! Right Derick?"
"Sure, you don't even have to say it twice!"
Mr. President is clearly worried, he tries to disguise it, and sees no other way but to accept Luan and Derick's help.
"Clearly someone is sabotaging us, I'm very uncomfortable with this situation, I can't refuse your help, we'll be very grateful for it!
Luan and Derick take a drink of water first, there's no time to congratulate them, people are cheering them on as they make their way to the elevator to go down to the other Chamber again,
Luke and Justin celebrate their victory, and Grandpa Han hugs them, he's very happy that they won, but he's not surprised and says:
"I told you to sit back and watch, you didn't need to panic, I already knew that Luan was my successor as a Time Conjurer, I just needed to give him an incentive to accept becoming a Magician, after all it's not an easy task, and Derick has always been my best choice, I trust my grandchildren with my eyes closed."
"Dad, did you know?"
"Of course, a Magician always recognizes another Magician."
"You just need to investigate what actually happened here today, and catch the culprit."
Grandpa Han looks at Mr. Scoot, who is a nervous wreck.
Meanwhile, in Mark's group they have managed to tag most of the demons, and without much ado Luan and Derick arrive at the Entrance Gate and try to hurry as much as possible, until they are informed that there is a shortcut to one of the Cages at Gate 3, they don't think twice and follow the shortcut, that there is an escalator that runs between the 2 chambers. They finally arrive and enter the cage, they look to make sure there are no more demons and close one of the entrances to the cage, to prevent any more demons from getting out. They help themselves out of the cage and manage to get to the Map, the two locate Mark's Group, Derick gives a whistle and this catches Mark and Ren's attention, they are surprised and seem to be a bit tired by the way, Mark then says to Ren:
"Han? What are they doing here? Oh, clearly we know the winners."
"Hm, yes they won, but why did they come here to help us?"
Mary is also surprised to see the two of them, but he can't activate the Magic Circle, it's after two hours and the Gate is still closed.
The two of them hurry over to the group, Luan greets them, Luan goes over to Mary to calm her down, as she seems to be quite nervous, and guides them:
"Hello, Mary, stay calm, you need to be calm to do the incantations, have you re-done the Magic Circle manually on top of this one?
"OMG Luan, what are you doing here? Oh, yes, I took that stone and scratched over it again, I put the ritual dagger there, and nothing happens!"
Luan takes his notebook from his jacket (yes, Luan can hide his belongings in his jacket with a spell to conceal objects), the dagger and the dagger are in a pouch that he wears on his chest, because they are the items he will need most from now on, he analyzes his notebook,and he knows that the problem is actually that Mary's magic is a little weak, probably because she was rushed into the team, she didn't have that much time to train, and magic needs to be practiced often to perfect it, but he prefers not to say anything about it to Mary at the moment, so he puts his notebook away and says:
"We'll do it all over again Mary, take that stone over there, you cross it out on one side and I'll cross it out on the other so we can complete the circle, Derick will draw the elements, and as soon as we've finished, Mary will place her ritual dagger on the wind element, all 3 of you Mary, Mark and Ren will stand in the middle of the Circle with me and point your amulets upwards, I'll do a Conjuration and I'll direct it to your amulet, ok?"
Everyone nods yes, Luan scratches on one side and Mary on the other. Luan could do the Conjuration himself, but he's already used a lot of his power today, and will probably need a longer rest, until he can adapt to using magic more often.
All set, Luan then manages to activate the Circle by placing his dagger instead of Mary's, he asks everyone to get ready, he begins the conjuration and as said, redirects it to the amulets, he looks quite tired, but doesn't show it. The 2 demons plus the rest have been successfully conjured, and the Exit Gate finally opens, and everyone is relieved that, 2:20 into the Test, they haven't emerged victorious, but they have completed the 2 gates. They thank Luna and Derick immensely, and congratulate them on their victory and Luan's new achievement. Mark thanks them, but is deeply heartbroken, as he knows he will have to face his father Mr. Scoot.
Mary thanks Luan, he then extends his hand to shake it, Mary is thoughtful, but shakes Luan's hand back.
"You saved us, thank you, and even if you don't tell me, I know my magic isn't that strong, right?
"Well since you brought it up Mary, you'll get better with time, it's a matter of practicing more often, and since you're a dedicated person in everything you do, I won't be surprised if one day you want to challenge me! hehe"
"I'd lose, but if you could give me some tips, I'd be honored! "
"Oh, okay then tell me if you need help, I need to go, they're calling me over there."
Mr. President is calling Luan and Derick, to give them their prize for being champions, and they are now honorary DSO employees, part-time or extended if it's a longer mission, soon there will be a DSO Party for the Descendants to celebrate the new DSO Hunters, Luan struggles to stand up he is feeling very sleepy, so he hugs his Grandfather, his uncle and kind of awkwardly hugs his father Luke, and pats Derick on the back.
Luan sits down for a moment, Derick keeps him company waiting to be released to leave, Derick decides to ask what really happened in the test, and what failure Mr. President was talking about and looks at Luan;
"Luan, you still haven't told me what that failure was that Mr. President said....Luan?"
He sees Luan with his eyes closed, and promptly checks to see if he is breathing, and yes he is breathing, he just ended up fast asleep.
