Chapter 86-Ana vs Tondra

"Khione will take care of the other one…" Ana says to herself as she resumes her Charge Stance, "All I have to do is defeat the one in front of me…"

"WIND CHARGE, LEVEL ONE: CRESCENT-MOON SLASH!" Ana roars as she draws her wind-cloaked katana and swings it towards Tondra.

In response, Tondra crouches down as she places one hand on its hilt and the other on the sheath. Electric-yellow sparks of energy begin to burst and swirl around her body.

"Lighting Charge, Level One: Charred Slash!" Tondra shouts as she draws her electrified-katana and swings it towards Ana.

The two swordswomen clash in a burst of lightning and wind.

Ana grits her teeth in concentration as she struggles against Tondra's blade, and Tondra digs her heels into the ground to stay strong against Ana's spell.

However, the electricity coursing around Tondra's katana begins to travel onto Ana' katana then down its blade and to Ana's hands.

Ana screams in pain as Tondra's electricity spreads and courses throughout Ana's entire body.

While her opponent is unable to counter, Tondra swiftly retracts her sword then swings it downwards again, slashing Ana across the chest and sending her fellow swordswoman flying backwards.

Ana lands on her back on the ground a couple dozen feet away from Tondra, twitching and spazzing with electricity.

"Your sword skills aren't bad," Tondra compliments, "But mine are better. And so is my element."

"Crap," Ana grunts as her body spazzes with electricity, "My muscles are short circuiting thanks to the lighting. Tondra's attacks are almost impossible to defend against since as long as they touch me, I'm paralyzed by electricity.

Ana then jumps back up to her feet, and the two women resume their Charge Stances.

'Wind Charge, Level One-" Ana begins to shout as she draws her katana and swings it outwards.

"Lighting Charge, Level One-" Tondra shouts as she also does the same.

"-Crescent-Moon Slash!"

"-Charged Slash!"

The force of Ana's swing sends a powerful crescent-moon shaped projectile of wind flying towards Tondra. Meanwhile, Tondra chants; "EXTEND," and when she does, the blade of Tondra's katana extends outwards as she swings it forwards, causing a blast of lightning to fly towards Ana.

The two spells collide, in yet another burst of wind and lightning, canceling one another out.

"It seems like we're evenly matched," Ana comments.

"So it seems," Tondra replies.

Ana narrows her eyes at Tondra's left eye.

"That eye…" she says to herself, "I heard about eyes that look like that long ago, it must be…a Devil Eye…?"

Tondra raises an eyebrow at Ana. But upon noticing what Ana is staring at, Tondra's lips purse into an "O" shape as Tondra pats her left eye.

"You're staring at this, huh? Let me show you what it can do."

Next, Tondra grips the hilt of her katana tightly between both hands as she holds it up to the sky.

"EXTEND!" Tondra chants, and as she does, the blade of her katana begins to grow longer, only slightly, extending about up to about three more inches.

"Woah," Ana marvels.

Tondra slings the giant katana over her shoulder, and her knees buckle slightly from the weight of the sword.

"The Land of Wind is known for their swordsmen and swordsmith," Tondra monologues, "The standard katana that can be made and purchased in the Land of Wind is forty inches, blade to hilt. My Devil Eye, however, allows me to extend the blade of my katana to forty three inches in length. Making it all the more deadly and increasing my range."

"Forty inches are MORE than enough for a lady to handle," Ana smirks as she draws her katana, then charges.

Tondra draws her katana as well and retracts it back to its usual length, then charges in turn.

The two women rush towards one another then exchange a blinding flurry of blows. Clangs and crashes ring through the air as the two women clash steel. Tondra's strikes are fast, almost too fast for Ana to keep up.

Both Ana and Tondra retract their blades from one another then clash again. Swiftly, Tondra retracts her sword and swings it towards Ana's neck, chanting: "EXTEND," and the blade of Tondra's katana extends those extra three inches.

Swiftly, Ana tilts her head back, only slightly, just narrowly avoiding being grazed by Tondra's attack.

Ana then thrusts the blade of her katana towards Tondra's gut, but Tondra parries this attack with a slash of her own.

"It was nice of you to tell me how many inches you extend the blade of your katana, so I know what to worry about," Ana smirks through grit teeth as the struggles against the force of Tondra's blade.

"My secret's safe with you, since you're dying tonight," Tondra fires back, her teeth grit in concentration as she struggles against Ana's blade.

"Wind Chargem, Level Four- '' Ana grunts as wing begins circulating around the blade of her katana, and medium-green sparks of energy begin to burst and swirl around the body.

Tondra's eyes widen.

"You're not in your Charge Stance, are you?"

"-HEAVEN-PIERCING GALE!" Ana roars as a blast of wind flies from the tip of her katana.

But before her spell can reach Tondra, Tondra chants: "Extend," and all of a sudden, the blade of Tondra's extends outwards one more inch, slicing Ana across the neck.

Meanwhile, Ana's blast of wind sends Tondra flying backwards.

Tondra drops to the ground on one knee, clutching her profusely-bleeding throat.

"I was careless…" Tondra just barely manages to croak out with her slashed esophagus, "-I should have known that Tondra was bluffing…"

"That's right," the wounded Tondra replies as she stands up to face Ana, "I can extend my blade FOUR inches! Though…is that just a bluff as well?"

"That's a powerful tool that E-Chargers use when fighting," Ana grunts, "Giving your opponent incorrect but believable information about your abilities to confuse them."

And so, Ana and Tondra stand up to continue their battle of clashing blades.
