Chapter 110-The Elemental Apocalypse

"Bentornato, everyone."

Seven days later, everyone has gathered outside of Luciano's mansion. Myself, Master F, Mary, Ana, Gaia, and Luciano himself. Even Carbon.

"Hey guys!" Ana exclaims, have you awakened yet?"

"No, not yet," I sigh.

"E-Chargers blossom in the threat of combat. So I'm not surprised Khione and Mary were unable to awaken when not on the battlefield," Flint adds, "How about you, were you two able to master Infinity Charge yet?"

Ana smirks as she puffs out her chest, places both hands on her hips, and opens her mouth up to respond, but before she can say anything, Luciano answers for her.

"MASTER is a…strong word. Despite my fabulous teachings, NO ONE can master Infinity Charge. Not even someone as spectacular as I, in over thirty years."

"You're over thir-?" Mary begins to ask.

"SHHHH, hush hush hush…" Luciano whispers as he jams a finger to Mary's lips, causing Mary's eyes to nearly bulge out of her skull, "That's not what is important right now."

"What IS important right now, is that I don't see my old man," Carbon grumbles as he looks around, "Did that bastard lie to us?! He only said he was gonna go find allies 'cause he didn't want us to kill 'em!"

"They'll come," Gaia replies.

"And how do you know that?" Carbon spits as he turns to face his rival.

"Noah teaches you to become quite the people person."

"Speaking of Noah-" I frown as I look around, not spotting my BFF, "Where is he?"

Luciano, Ana, and Gaia sadly peer to the ground. Especially Luciano.

"ALSO despite my fabulous teachings…Noah couldn't make it in time…" Luciano admits, "I've taught Noah everything that I can. He has a mental block prohibiting him from bringing out his full potential. It's up to HIM now."

My eyes widen. That…makes sense."

Right…the last time Noah used his full power, he tried to kill all of us. And the time before that, he DID kill everyone. Even if Noah doesn't have his memories…Noah's body REFUSES to allow Noah to bring about that carnage again.

A small smile forms on my lips. "Noah…truly is a good guy…"

Before the conversation can continue, the ground begins rumbling, throwing everyone off balance.

"Look, over there!" Ana cries as she points off in the distance, and everyone looks to where she's pointing, noticing a large tornado forming over the edge of town.

"Fanculo, the Elemental Apocalypse is almost among us!" Luciano cries, "Venire, I shall lead us to the Tomb of the Last, let's go!"

"Hah…hah…hah…"

I pant heavily as I double over, with one hand on my knee and one fist touching the ground.

Slowly…I lift my fist before slamming into the ground again, my knuckles already bloody from multiple attempts at doing so.

"Dammit… why can't I…bring myself to do it…?"

Slowly…I stand up and resume my Charge Stance.

Seafoam green sparks of energy flicker around my body, but as the blueish-green glow intensides, fear tears through my entire body as visions of blood, dead bodies, and a massive tsunami tearing through a cityscape floods my brain.

And before I can E-Charge any harder…I double over and puke.

"DAMMIT!" I cry as I slam my bloody fist into a pile of puke, "WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!"

As Luciano begins to lead the group through the Land of Fire, the scenery begins to change. At first, the Land of Fire is dainty and kind, with beautiful sprawling cities, and grassy green fields, with the occasional mountain or sand field or two due to the ancient flood.

However, as we draw ever closer to the Tomb of the Last. The ground begins to take a red hue and rocky texture, with steam beds, jagged rocks, and loose flames as far as the eye can see.

"My feet hurt," Mary whimpers.

"The ground here is so hot that our shoes may burn off by the time we reach the Tomb of the Last," Prometheus answers, causing Mary to shriek.

Up ahead of us, is a huge mountain with steam billowing from the top.

"Luciano, where are you leading us?" Gaia asks.

"The Tomb of the Star is in a volcano," Luciano answers, "In ancient times, this volcano was referred to…as Mount Fuji."

"Volcano?" I ask.

"It's like a regular mountain, with fire inside it, or something-" Master F begins to explain, then pauses.

"I DON'T EVEN KNOW!" Master F then cries, "EVERYTIME YOU ASK ME A QUESTION ABOUT THE WORLD, KHIONE, I ACT LIKE I KNOW EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WISE ADULT YOU CAN TRUST. YOU TOO, MARY, AND NOAH! BUT THE TRUTH IS…I NEVER KNOW! I CAN'T EVEN READ, SO EVERYTHING I KNOW COMES FROM LOOKING AT PICTURES IN BOOKS!"

My eyes widen, but then…the rest of us burst out laughing.

"I know, Master F!" I laugh as I wipe a tear of laughter from my eye, "It's okay!"

Master F wipes his eyes as well, "Good."

As we draw closer to the base of Mt Fuji, we spot a man off in the distance.

"Who…is that…?" I ask as I narrow my eyes at the man.

The man is wearing that same orange and red robes as the rest of the Children of Fire. He has long red hair sprouting from the back of his head, and is bald at the front -the same color as Prometheus'- with flame-orange eyes, also the same color as Prometheus' aura. He has a white sun tattoo on his forehead, the insignia of the Children of Fire.

"The bastard is Prometheus' son, Helios,'' Carbon growls, "His BLOOD son, I mean. But…Prometheus never let him join our ranks until now…"

"Prometheus must be desperate, with Smokey dead and you deserted," Master F replies.

Carbon nods. "And though I don't know what his E-Charge is, Prometheus claims that Helios is strong. So he must be the new number one."

"Good, so with Noah not around at the moment, I'll take Helios," Gaia replies.

Carbon pauses. "What do you mean…YOU'LL take Helios?"

"What do you mean? I'm the strongest one here."

"Uhh…no, dick wad. I'M taking Helios!. With Smokey DEAD I never got to settle my beef with him! This is my only chance to prove that I SHOULD have been number one all this time!"

"You lost to Prometheus, dumbass! OBVIOUSLY you're not cut out for being number one!"

"WANNA GO?!"

"LET'S GO, RIGHT NOW!"

The rest of us sigh as we continue onwards towards Mt Fuji, with Gaia and Caron bickering all the way.
