Ridding The OverWorld of Evil [Ch. 15]

Plains Biome, OverWorld

Stanley's Farm

There EnderBrine stood. Surrounded by the very blockheads he attempted to fight with. But, as all villains, he lost spectacularly. Melinda was still in her spider form, keeping all eight of her eyes fixed on him. He kept a short distance in between them because..well…he was afraid of spiders. Attempting to do anything stupid would only further embarrass him.

To be fair, he was still learning how to use his newfound abilities. After all, it's only been two days since his transformation was finalized. Starting from the left, he glanced at everyone. His hands were in the air, with a white flag flapping in his hand. He was surrendering. But none of them lowered their bows or put away their arrows. Still fixed on him, they held their ground. They threatened to shoot him if he wouldn't comply.

Amelia picked up her staff off of the ground. The purple color the crystal was when in the hands of EnderBrine, reverted back to white upon her picking it up. Stanley had run into the house to see if his parents were still there. But when he came back out, he scratched his head and stood in a confused state.

He looked over at EnderBrine. When he did this, his confused expression on his face turned to an angry expression. He stormed over to him, reaching behind his back to grab something out of his inventory. As he walked past Amelia and Melinda, they saw that he wasn't digging around in his inventory. His hand was empty.

"Uh, is he okay?" Lily whispered to Amelia. She turned her head and looked over at her.

"Does the boy look okay to you?" Amelia responded, defending Stanley.

"I'm fine!" Stanley said, "it's him you should be worried about!"

Upon taking his hand out from behind his back, he revealed that it was empty…or was it? He looked down at his hand. When he did, it began glowing a bright white color; similar to the crystal on Amelia's staff.

"Fascinating," EnderBrine said, "I knew there was something about you I couldn't quite grasp."

"Shut up!" Stanley shouted.

"Now, now, Stanley," an unfamiliar female voice said, "that's no way to treat anyone, especially those who cause harm to others."

"Where are my parents? What'd you do to them?" Stanley shouted as he got up close and personal with EnderBrine. Their noses were almost touching. That's how close he'd gotten.

Amelia and Lily looked up. A bright light, not the suns light but someone else's light was blinding them. They shielded their eyes with their arms. EnderBrine took notice of this, looking away from Stanley and up into the sky. As it came down to the ground, it dimmed…revealing a beautiful female blockhead. She wore a white dress, long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a halo floating above her head.

"King Miraz, was it?" She asked as she looked over at EnderBrine.

"I go by EnderBrine now," he responded in a growling, rude tone of voice as he looked over at her.

"Victoria," Notch said as he put his bow and arrow away, getting down onto one knee. He held his hand out and put his head down. "It's been ages. Forgive me for not staying in touch."

"Your time in the Nether taught you well, old friend," Victoria said as she smiled faintly, resting her hand in the palm of his hand.

"Uhh, what?" Lily said with a confused smirk on her face. "You told me you weren't a–."

"A God?" Notch finished what she would've otherwise said herself if he didn't interrupt her.

"I was–," Notch began before Victoria finished what he was going to say.

"Was a God that didn't follow the rules," she told Lily with a little laugh under her breath. Notch stood back up and put his hands on his hips.

"Don't–don't tell her that," he pleaded, "don't!"

"I told him to stay away from Wynter's birthday cake, but he didn't listen of course," Victoria said, ignoring Notch's plea not to tell her.

"You're one of them?" Lily asked as she glanced over at him.

As this conversation continued, another bright light came into view as it descended. Just like when Victoria arrived, this light dimmed. Once it was gone, revealed in its place was another goddess. Wearing the same dress as Victoria, only her hair and eye colors were different. Still, though, she is just as beautiful as Victoria.

"If I would've known this was gonna be a reunion, I would've brought a cake," Notch said in a joking manner.

"Hope that cake would've been for me," Wynter responded with a quirky grin on her face. She gave him a quick, sassy look. She wasn't mad, no. She was just having a little fun picking on him for that.

"It's called a sign," Notch said in a semi-serious tone, "it has many benefits, including leaving a note."

"You would've eaten it either way. Note or no note," Wynter explained.

Notch rolled his eyes, shook his head, and sighed a heavy sigh. Ever since he'd eaten that cake, they'd picked on him and teased him. At first, he laughed alongside them. Over time, it started to get old. When would they just let it go? Would they ever move past that incident?

"Fat head!" EnderBrine blurted out, "Fat head, fat head, fat head! Just a big, chubby fat head."

Wynter and Victoria both tilted their heads slightly. They examined his entire body from head to toe. They both scoffed and tried to not laugh. But they couldn't help it.

"You have put on weight now that I think of it," Wynter stated with a smile. Victoria covered her mouth and giggled into her hands. Her laughter was muffled.

"Ahem!" Stanley said. Everyone stopped talking to look over at him. Still standing right alongside EnderBrine, he got their attention. "Save the banter," he told them. "We were kind of in the middle of something here. You mind?"

"Actually, yes," Wynter responded, "he's the reason why we're here."

Stanley huffed and puffed with frustration. He crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. Beginning to act like a misbehaving child, he wasn't the friendliest of blockheads to be in the presence of. He continued to ramble on and on and on. Finally, Wynter had heard enough.

POOF! WHOOP! A sudden cloud of smoke engulfed Stanley from the ground up. Just as though it appeared, it dissipated and blew away. In its place, right where Stanley was standing a second ago, was a tiny oak tree sapling. It rustled and shook.

Lily raised one eyebrow with a confused expression on her face. Out of everything she could've picked from, Wynter chose a tree. Strange, I know. To be fair, she had her reasons. It was clear as to what those reasons were. Those reasons stemmed and branched out from the anger and hostility Stanley was showcasing.

"He'll get over it," Wynter stated as everyone laid eyes upon her, including EnderBrine and Victoria. "He's just mad, that's all."

"Mad that you turned him into a sapling?" Amelia questioned.

"Obviously," Wynter answered.

"Refresh my memory," Notch said, "isn't it standard code to not intervene in any conflicts unless needed?"

Wynter and Victoria looked over at him. "That was changed many, many, many, many, many, many–," Victoria was saying as Lily cut her off.

"Oh for heaven's sake," Lily began saying, "get on with it!"

POOF! WHOOSH! Wynter rolled her eyes and shook her head. Victoria giggled quietly under her breath. Notch scoffed and laughed briefly, pointing down at the oak tree sapling. It, just like Stanley's was doing, hers was shaking and rustling too.

"I'll turn all of you into trees if I have to," she warned, "you have my word."

Melinda then turned back into her blockhead form.

"She's not one to play games with," Victoria explained as she then glanced over at Notch, tilting her head slightly. "Isn't that right Notch?"

Notch rolled his eyes and sighed; shaking his head. He put his hand on his forehead as he looked down at the ground.

Now enough of this banter, they both quickly refocused themselves."Will I ever catch a break from that?" He asked, "it was a cake, a CAKE! Something easily replaceable. the months and years to come, many blockheads will remember the Great OverWorld War. Forever, this War would become a staple in history. Always remembered. Never forgotten.

"I think we've wasted enough time already," Wynter realized, "take him, seduce him. Put him in cuffs." She was talking about EnderBrine and what to do with him. What they were going to do to EnderBrine and such. Amelia lifted her staff, then slammed it back down onto the ground. A thump noise was heard after she did that.

In turn, iron cuffs appeared over EnderBrine's wrists. A pumpkin was put over his head to prevent him from knowing where they'd be going. Once the pumpkin was covering his head, Victoria and Wynter looked over at Amelia, Melinda, and Notch one last time.

After this, they grabbed each other's hands, faintly smiling at the three of them.

"Oh, I almost forgot about you, Jack," Wynter said, "here. A little token of our gratitude."

She waved her hand back and forth in the air in front of her. "You won't feel anything different about you now, but you will later down the road… give or take 636 days into the future that is."

"After all the terror I caused?" I don't deserve anything. What I do deserve is punishment."

"We Gods and Goddesses believe in granting second chances," Wynter explained, "what you did is behind us."

These comments made Jack feel a little bit better about himself. Thank goodness they were so nice about it. Still, though, he thinks the punishment is adequate for what he did.

"We'll be in touch," Victoria said.

Then, the bright lights returned. It blinded everyone but only briefly. As quickly as the light appeared, it disappeared. Victoria, Wynter, and EnderBrine were now gone. No traces of them being here remained.

"Let's hope we won't see him ever again," Melinda mumbled.

Stanley and Lily returned to their blockhead form, no longer being trapped as tree saplings.

"Where is she?" Stanley shouted in anger and upset.

"Gone," Melinda quickly answered.

"How was being a tree treating you?" Amelia said with laughter.

Stanley rolled his eyes and shook his head. With his left hand, he began massaging his forehead steadily.

"I hated it," he answered as he ground his teeth.

Victoria and Melinda both laughed as Notch scoffed and smiled at him. They were clearly amused by the stunt Wynter had pulled.

"All you had to do was be–," Melinda said as Stanley cut her off.

"I know, I know," he responded, "all I had to do was be nice. Dually noted."

Present Day

Night

"Alright kiddos," Stanley said, "We'll have to leave it there for the night."

Sitting on the sandy beach around a fire, Stanley was. He was accompanied by the children. Ava and Annabelle were among them. Being the close friends they are, they were sitting next to one another.

"Nooo!" Annabelle sighed dramatically as she rolled her eyes. "I want to hear what happens next."

"Yeah, me too," Ava said.

"Me three," Bremen, another kid, shouted aloud.

"Me four!" Casey, a friend of Bremen's, said as she looked over at Stanley as he was getting up. As he got back up onto his feet, he giggled and chuckled.

They weren't going to stop begging him. He'd never catch a break of hearing them beg if he didn't finish what he'd started hours ago. He was especially stunned to find out that they were invested and wanted to hear the ending. What happened to kids having short attention spans? Weren't they the ones who deemed reading their enemy metaphorically?

He sighed a heavy sigh once as he then sat back down. Criss-crossing his legs, he then rests his hands on his knees. But just before he could begin where he'd left off a moment ago, a distant voice called out to him.

"Stanley!" Petra, who was revealed to be the one who shouted his name, walked out of the dense forest a short distance away from him. The children looked over at her two, then glanced back over at him. "Something happened. It's about Daniel," she explained.

Looking back at the kids, he leaped back onto his feet. He brushed the sand off his white pants and hands.

"Sorry kiddos," he apologized sympathetically.

"Fat head!" Annabelle blurted out.

"What?" Stanley questioned.

"She called you a fat head 'cause you are one," Ava elaborated so he'd understand.

"Last I recall, I'm not fat like Santa," he remarked, making fun of Santa. "But I still love cookies."

"Come on!" Petra shouted, waving her hands around above her head; swaying them back and forth very fast.

Upon following Petra back to where she'd discovered something strange, she revealed to him what happened to Daniel. One moment he's examining this anomaly, the next… gone. POOF! BLIP!

"He was just pulled into it like something was forcing him to go through. The two of them arrived at the site. Romeo and Freddie were present; still trying to figure out what this thing was. But still, they weren't finding any luck.

"What is this thing? Where'd it come from? What happened to Daniel?" Freddie and Romeo both asked.

"I'm not sure what this is," Petra answered with a shrug of her shoulders.

"Stanley? Any guesses?"

"No," he replied.

"Why don't you guys know anything? Nothing at all? You've never come across something like this before?" Romeo said, further elaborating on what he was trying to ask the two of them?"

Petra looked over at him, shaking her head. Seemingly out of the blue, Freddie smacked Romeo on the back of his head. Romeo turned to look at him, rubbing the back of his head.

"Ow, that hurt," he said.

"Good, dummy!" Freddie said. "Should really read up on our history of our Kingdom."

Romeo put his hand down to his side, raising his right hand. He looked at it, and then slowly turned his head over to look back at Freddie. Smiling sinisterly, he slapped Freddie.

"Ow!" Freddie said as he slapped Romeo across the face.

"Stop that!" Romeo said, slapping him again.

"You stop that!"

"No, you stop hitting me!"

"Children please," Petra said, "go join the kids around the fire. Argue and act childish around them. Are you two done?"

The sun had set, and the moon had risen in its crescent shape. There were no clouds in the area, only the clear night sky. Stars twinkled as a gentle breeze blew over the island off of the ocean. Ava and Annabelle came running over too Romeo, Freddie, Petra, and Stanley. BOOM!

"Look!" Annabelle shouted as her and Ava both looked up, pointing at what they were seeing. Petra, Romeo, and Freddie all eventually looked up too. BOOM, BOOM, BOOM! What they were witnessing was an asteroid shower. Trails of smoke followed aft of the burning asteroids. But there was one that wasn't burning up. It's like it was deflecting the heat, avoiding being burned up. Petra frowned and tilted her head slightly.

HeroBrine squinted his eyes as he examined the non-burning asteroid that was falling through the sky. GASP! BLIP! It disappeared. The asteroids smoke trails slowly dissipated. It was a short, brief meteor shower. Strange. After inspecting the incoming meteors, he gasped.

"What?" Petra asked.

"NO!" he began saying with a long pause in between, "no, no, no. It can't be, can it?"

"Then what are they?" Romeo and Freddie asked.

Burning up in the atmosphere above, eight meteors were hurdling closer to the ground. Some of the burning meteors burned away completely, leaving only a trail of smoke in their wake. But one of them still burned, it's light not becoming dimmer.

"What is it?" Petra asked, "tell us!"

"He's back, but how?" Stanley mumbled these questions to himself.

"Who's back?" Romeo asked.

"It's–It's Ne–Neth–NetherBrine!" He finally answered.

UH OH!
