21: Luxurious Building of Celestial Vanguard

Kei reaches his home which is an apartment in a decent building. It consisted of three rooms and one store room. The rooms were very spacious and normal looking nothing too fancy. Other than that the apartment was also pretty normal looking. A sofa which was blue in color and looked very comfy. A small dining table. Kei refreshes himself by taking a nice long bath and then he goes to his kitchen which had modern looking theme. The appliances were neatly arranged along the countertops. He quickly makes a coffee with the coffee and goes to the living room. There he sees the portrait of his family hanging near the T.V.

Kei sighs and walks towards it and takes it down from the wall and puts it away in the store room and walks back to his room and sits down near his computer and starts to scroll through while drinking his coffee.

He sees the comments on the press interview. "Who is that handsome white haired man? He is kinda hot. I haven't seen him anywhere else. Did he break through rank-B recently?" Peach User 2219 comments and there were many other comments speculating on how the group cleared B-ranked dungeon and etc.

Kei just closes his computer and lies down and starts 'Tomorrow would be thrilling.' and sleeps off.

The next day he readies himself by wearing a blue colour tuexdo. Then catches a cab to the Celestial Vanguard building and enters it by 12 pm. He arrived early because he wanted to explore the building. 'I am going to join this guild, so at least let's take a look around the building.'

The building of the Celestial Guild was majestic. It had 21 floors in it, the first and the ground floor was just reception and you feel you are entering a five-star hotel. He comes to the receptionist and asks "I have an appointment with the guild leader in an hour. Can you please check it." The receptionist looks at him and says "Sorry Sir but the guild leader doesn't have any appointment today. The guild leader cancelled all their meetings today." Hearing it Kei was shocked and began to think on what to do but then a voice rang throughout the reception "Kei! Over here" Vector Hynes came to the scene."Vector, They are saying that the guild master isn't taking any meetings today. So what will we-" but he could finish Vector says "Don't worry Guild Master will see you today." Kei nods at that and asks Vector "Can I get a tour of the building?" Vector looks at him suspiciously and Kei notices it and says "Oh come on! I am going to join your guild today. So at least let me take a look around the building." then Vector grunts but agrees.

They start to go floor by floor. 2nd- 5th floor is the place where research was going on how to extract Mana more efficiently from Mana crystals and many more things but Kei wasn't allowed to see it for now. 6th-10th floors contained a Smithy where numerous blacksmiths were gathered. Kei thought 'I heard a rumour that an A-ranked blacksmith was also here but I guess that was just a rumour. But I guess that I don't have to find a blacksmith now.' Then he walks away to the 11th floor and sees a huge gym.

Vector then starts saying in a proudful tome " You are witnessing a masterpiece right now! The researchers at our guild went through a lot of effort to build it. This equipment can handle the hunters strength and it won't get destroyed easily. This gym is specially made for D-rank hunters and the upper floors are for upper ranks."

Hearing this Kei was dumbfounded and started to think 'How can they compress so much weight in such small objects? It is baffling to me.' then he looks at Vector and asks "Can I try it?" Vector nods then takes him to the 12th floor where C-rank equipment is placed.

Kei picks up a 1 ton dumbbell with his arm and starts to curl it. Kei then starts to do a lateral raise. 'This is good. I can feel a strain on my deltoid muscles.' then he starts to do a dumbbell row. But before he could do more Vector stopped him and he says "Let's go we still have some floors left. You will get your chance when you join the guild and please don't work out in a tuexdo."

Kei realises what he was doing and scratches his cheek in embarrassment. "Ah yes let's go." then go to the 18th floor where staff meetings were held so it wasn't that much like the other floors.

The 19th floor was the largest floor in the building because it had many rooms. These rooms were used by hunters of the guild. This provided them a temporary housing for them until they are shifted to another. They might stay overnight if they work after hours.

The rooms were very luxurious. Upon entering, his gaze is drawn to the expansive, gleaming marble floor. A beautiful chandelier hanging from the ceiling bathing the room in ambient lights.

Against one wall, a massive fireplace stands as a centerpiece. Surrounding it are some paintings. The windows that offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding cityscape.

Luxurious sofas and armchairs are upholstered in rich fabrics near the king sized bed. Plush pillows were placed on it and if you lay your head down on it then you would instantly fall asleep.

Kei didn't give a reaction to it because he likes a simple room with basic necessities in it. Vector saw this and was going to ask him if he didn't like it but he noticed that the time for the meeting was near so he quickly led Kei to the elevator and pressed for the 21st floor. Kei noticed it and asked "What about the 20th floor?" "It is the residence of the guild master." Kei nods at it.

After reaching the 21st floor they go towards the desk of the guild master and sits down on the chair.

Kei then starts seeing the whole floor. The floor was huge in size like 20 feet in width. One part of the floor was fully covered in glass and you could see the majestic view of the city. There were luxurious sofas on the floor and all in all it was an office for the guild master.

Then Vector stands up and ushers Kei to stand up as well. "Greetings. Guild Master." as soon as the elevator door opens.
