CHAPTER 82

Do you confirm the upgrade?

[Yes/No]

Hazard, who had kept his field skills active to strengthen his forces, quickly chose to upgrade. Beside him, Scarlett had a massive magical queen's crown above her head, with various magical circles representing buffs on her forces. In the blink of an eye, the upgrade enveloped him, and as his field buffs reappeared, the cooldowns on his other abilities were reset due to the upgrade. This tempted him to summon the demons of the abyss, but he knew there was an enemy nearby, and a six-month cooldown would be a huge disadvantage.

He quickly checked his status:

His stats had multiplied, and his skill ranks had increased, but the upgrade conditions were troublesome. Thanks to Lamorak, he had managed to acquire a large population, but killing ten Legendary creatures was out of reach.

Then, he turned his gaze to the Dark Dragon King's brilliance. After all, dragons weren't to be taken lightly, and even in battle—despite the enemy's superior numbers and two Legendary-level buffs—the dragons had managed to slaughter numerous Epic-rank forces. This intense battlefield awakened and upgraded the Dark Dragon King, Ramos. With a deafening roar, he paralyzed countless foes. But the ones who suffered the most were the Dark Faction's witches, who were now fleeing. A hundred thousand witches fell like birds without wings, making Hazard's eyes gleam. Witches were among the most valuable forces in his domain, and if he could recruit them, it would be a massive gain.

Following his command, the living armors rushed to the witches' location. Meanwhile, the Dark Dragon King rampaged through the ranks of giants like a crazed bear. His followers, inspired by his might and bravery, fought with even greater ferocity.

"We must help!"

Hazard's bones rattled with excitement for battle. His body grew to ten meters in height, two massive horns sprouted from his forehead, and golden muscles formed around his joints.

"Not yet!"

Scarlett was waiting for something. Only after the second wave of giants and royal ants had fallen did she finally shout and point in a direction.

"Get him!!!"

Nothing was visible where she pointed, but her swift psychic attacks forced a hidden entity to appear ten kilometers away—an angelic figure with ten black wings, crying in agony. Upon being discovered, it didn't flee; instead, it chose to attack, shocking Hazard and making Scarlett scream.

"Don't let him kill any Epics!!!"

Only then did Hazard realize—Caesar was stealing Epic-level kills, and Scarlett had noticed.

"Artemis, do whatever it takes to stop that black-winged bird from killing anything!"

Following Hazard's command, Artemis, who had been rescuing the fallen witches, redirected several giants toward the angel. At the same time, she severed the leg of a Warlord-class Dark Dragon, causing it to crash and have its skull shattered by a giant's massive hammer.

The angel noticed Hazard and Scarlett teleporting simultaneously and started rapid, second-by-second teleports to evade them. Despite both of them activating anti-teleportation fields, the angel continued teleporting with ease, passing right through them.

"Damn it, catch him!!!"

Hazard, summoning thousands of spirits, resurrected dead dragons and ants and sent them after the angel. Scarlett shot him a disapproving look but nonetheless summoned mental attacks and magical barriers to slow the angel down.

Yet, nothing seemed to work.

The angel reached above the Dark Dragon King, plunged a hand into its own chest, and ripped out its heart.

"No!!!!!"

Scarlett screamed as if she knew what was about to happen, unleashing thousands of psychic attacks upon the angel.

But it was already too late.

"For the Lord!"

Time seemed to freeze around the angel. The entire world recoiled, then compressed, and in an instant, the spatial fabric shattered. Thousands of creatures were torn apart, and the Dark Dragon King's head completely vanished, his lifeless body collapsing to the ground.

The explosion, though not vast in range, carried immense destructive force.

At the center, the angel was gone.

With its suicide attack, it had slain a hundred Abyss Ants and twenty Skull Giants.

The two Demon Kings screamed in rage and unleashed their fury upon the Dark Faction below. Meanwhile, another Demon King, thousands of kilometers away, laughed maniacally as he was engulfed in the light of ascension.
