CHAPTER 29

This isn't right! Alina gasped in her head and she jumped out of Nolan's body.

Nolan looked at her, confused on what her reaction meant.

"What are happened Alina?" Nolan asked curiously.

Alina wiped off the sweats on her forehead.

"I think it got even more hotter in here. I will go get a glass of water" Alina said swiftly as she picked up her shirt from the floor then ran out of the room.

Nolan chuckled as he read her reaction.

"Cute and innocent" Nolan chuckled and he turned to the other side of the bed.

Alina got to the fridge at the kitchen and she placed her face inside the fridge.

"Why is it so hot? Should I just go shower instead?" Alina uttered and she closed the fridge.

"That's a better idea" Alina said and ran to the bathroom.

Almost an hour later...

Alina wore her nighties and walked into Nolan's bedroom slowly.

Nolan was fast asleep already.

"Nolan! Are you asleep?" Alina asked almost in a whisper as she went closer to him.

"You slept off without saying good night to me" Alina pouted as she adjusted his duvet properly.

"Good night sweetie" Nolan uttered in a sleepy tone.

Alina pecked his forehead with a smile on her lips and she left his bedroom.

Alina went to the sitting room and sat down on a couch.

Today went by so fast and a lot happened as well. Poor Nolan, he had to go through such pain all over again. All thanks to Lilian. Alina said in her head angrily.

"I haven't heard from Aria yet" Alina pointed out looking around for her phone.

"Where did I drop it?" Alina questioned then head to the her room.

She picked up the phone from the makeup table.

"Ria, where are you right now? Did you get home safely?" Alina asked over the phone after placing a call across to Aria.

"I'm currently in Philippines, Lina. All thanks to Matt, he dragged me here with him" Aria said.

"Philippines? Wow, girl you're far away but wait a minute, since when did you give listening ears to Matthew. You've always disagreed with his words so why did you go that far with him?" Alina teased.

"He persuaded me, I couldn't help it but it's really fun out here. Lina, let's hang out around here when you're free okay" Aria said excitedly.

"Aria, what do you want for supper?" Matt questioned in the background and Alina's eyes widened in surprise on hearing his voice.

"Ria, are the both of you staying in the same room or should I say apartment?" Alina asked curiously and Aria blushed.

"It's a seaside resorts. We have no choice but to stay together. Do you know how awkward and gross it is to share a bathroom with someone else" Aria grimaced and Alina laughed.

"I guess you will have to put up with it. You've got one of your dislikes right next to you. Have fun and don't think much about it. Bye Ria, I've got to go now. You should go attend to your sweetheart Matt" Alina teased and she hung up quickly so she doesn't listen to Aria's screaming.

"Have some fun, girl" Alina smiled and kept her phone on the bed.

Nolan can't visit certain places so how about I make a list of things to do at home and safe areas around for visits. Alina said in her head excitedly.

Aria and Matthew's resort.

"Aria!" Matt called out as he came out of his room.

Aria wasn't in the sitting room.

"Where's she?" Matt questioned as he looked around but Aria wasn't anywhere.

He walked out of the resort and he found Aria seated on a mat few steps away from the sea with some snacks and drinks on the mat.

"Aria!" Matt called out from behind and she turned to him.

"Did you call?" Aria asked and Matt joined her on the mat.

"I couldn't find you inside. I had no idea you were here" Matt said slowly.

"I only wanted to get some fresh air. I'm here all because I need to take a break from all the struggle from work" Aria said and gulped down a sip of beer.

"You had dinner already, I guess you're not full yet for getting yourself all this" Matt pointed out with his eyes fixed on the snacks on the mat.

"You want some?"

"No thank you, I can't lose my diet schedule and I don't eat junkies as well, it's not healthy" Matt nagged and Aria rolled her eyes.

"I see, well I've been so healthy ever since birth and I've being eating lots of junkies. I guess I was born strong" Aria said sarcastically and Matt chuckled.

"Such a trouble girl" Matt laughed.

"I heard FOX will be going to a show in Thailand soon. How come you came here with me? Wouldn't that affect your schedule?" Aria asked concerned.

"They were all getting on my nerves, I just needed to cool my head off and this trip came in at the right time"

"I had no idea, you have troublesome members as well?" Aria smiled.

"Trust me, you don't want to hear about them. Sometimes, I feel suffocated and feel like becoming a solo artist" Matt groaned.

"You've been together for twelve years now, you've all worked hard and you're all becoming adults as well. Everyone's trying to be independent so bear with them okay. You're the group leader, you should look out for your members" Aria advised.

"I've been doing that for twelve years now but they're suddenly rebelling against some of my decisions. I guess we've got the fame and fortune we've been looking for, now nobody wants to work hard" Matt said frustratedly.

Aria handed him a can of beer.

"In times like this, you should relax a bit and this will help you cool off" Aria said as she helped him open the can.

"Thank you" Matt said with a smile.

"You must feel great being a solo artist" Matt added.

"Not at all. Being a solo artist is way more worse than being a band.i struggled so hard to become known to the world. I remember running errands for some directors when I was a trainee. I failed to debut multiple of times but I didn't stop there. Luckily Mrs Kim saw me one day and she saw some potential in me. Being a solo artist, you will have to work double the work of a whole band. I guess being independent calls for a prize as well" Aria said with a half smile.

"You've been through a lot yourself. Should I reward you for your hard work?" Matt asked with a smile.

Aria spread her palms wide open.

"I love awards and that's why I don't fail to go home without any. Do you have any for me? Give it to me, I will accept it with all my heart" Aria said cheerfully and Matt laughed.

"Come closer" Matt said and Aria moved closer to him.

Matt leaned closer to her ears.

"Go out on a date with me when we go back to Seoul" Matt whispered.

"A date? Is that my reward?" Aria fakes a frown.

"You said you will accept it with all your heart. I'm treating you out, doesn't that sound like a reward? Matthew FOX is asking you out for a date, that's an opportunity that wouldn't come by so easily, be grateful" Matt pouted.

"Why can't we just do it here? We've got a week to spend here. We can just have the date here"

"Of course, we can't. We're here for a semi vacation and we're purposely here to chill out and relax. We can't go on a date in a situation like this. Dates are usually nerve-racking, I can't go through that tension here" Matt said and Aria laughed hard.

"I had no idea, Matthew FOX also gets nervous when he's out on a date" Aria teased and Matt gulped down the whole can of beer as he tried to cover up the fact that he was shy.

NEXT MORNING....

At Falcon's office...

Falcon was seated on his seat going through some proposals on his computer when his secretary walked in.

"Boss, someone's here to see you" secretary Park announced.

"Who?" Falcon asked as he raised his head up.

"Miss Lilian from COE constructions" Secretary Park said and Lilian walked into the office.

"Quite a tight security you've got Mr Falcon. I've been waiting at the door for ten minutes" Lilian said rudely and Falcon stood up from his seat.

"You came here without any notification and that's why you were stood outside. You didn't notify me about your coming. What's this visit for?" Falcon asked professionally and Lilian looked at secretary Park.

"You may leave us secretary Park" Falcon said and he left the office.

"Please have a seat" Falcon said pointing at the executive chairs.

They both sat down.

"Can I get a cup of coffee?" Lilian requested with her legs crossed.

Falcon exhaled frustratedly and placed a call on his cellphone.

"Get us two cups of coffee" Falcon said over the phone and hung up.

"Can you get to the point already? You can see I'm too busy to see around and chat with you. What do you want and why are you here?" Falcon asked curiously.

"Mr Falcon, you're not sounding professional right now. I've got important news and request to ask of you" Lilian said and secretary Park came in with a tray on his hands.

Walked to where they are and placed the cups of coffee on the table.

"Thank you" Falcon said politely and he left the office.

"Hmm, smells nice and tastes lovely as well" Lilian complimented after having a sip of the coffee.

"You've got important news, spill it out? I don't have all day on my side" Falcon said with a blank expression.

"I heard you own the building next to a shopping mall and your building has a big boutique in it there in namsan" Lilian asked.

"Yes, I do but why do you ask? Did you suddenly grow interest in my building?" Falcon asked and Lilian smiled.

"You know me so well. How much for the building? Name your price" Lilian said seriously with her cup of coffee on her hand.

Falcon laughed.

"What has come over you? You don't usually buy buildings in developed areas so why the sudden interest?" Falcon asked curiously.

"Why else? Of course, it's because something caught my attention over there and it's all money you see. Name your price, you said it yourself that you don't have all day on your side"

"I'm sorry but the building isn't for sale. Those are one of my properties I can't put on sale" Falcon declined.

"Why are you doing this Falcon? It's just a building so why is it a big deal for you? You sale buildings and lands almost everyday and right now, you can't even sale that little building to me"

"Why do you have a problem with that? It's my property and I decide what I wish to do with it. I'm sorry but you have to get your eyes off it" Falcon said defiantly and Lilian clenched her fist.

"Alright fine. I no longer want the whole building, just sale the down floor to me. That's the one with the boutique in it" Lilian said with a smile.

"And why should I? All thanks to the boutique that's why my building is a hot cake so why should I sale it to you? What's your plan? Why did you pick interest in someone else's business"

"Oh I see, you're doing all this because of your personal reasons. You can't be with his daughter anyway so just sell it to me"

"What do you mean?"

"I know so well that you're interested in your tenant's daughter and her name is Alina. I saw you come pick her up at the hospital the other day but too bad, you're two steps behind. She's someone else's girlfriend, sorry but I can't mourn with you. All I need right now is your building and I will get everything back at its right place. I will be so obliged if you sell it to me" Lilian said with a vicious smile.

"What do you mean Alina has a boyfriend? Who's her boyfriend?" Falcon asked in shock and Lillian smiled.

"I will tell you that only if you sell the building to me" Lilian said seriously.
