CHAPTER 40 (SEMI FINAL)

Alina rushed back to the counter.

"Please, it's a takeout and be fast about it" Alina said as sweat popped out on her forehead.

Her mum (Chloe) ran to her and held her hand.

"Alina, you're Alina my daughter right?" Chloe called out but Alina jerked her hands off.

"Get off, I don't know you and I'm not your daughter" Alina said coldly as her eyes turned red out of anger.

Alina walked to their table swiftly and she grabbed Nolan's hand.

"Nolan, we have to leave here" Alina said seriously and Nolan looked at her a bit confused.

"Alina, what's going on? What happened? Did something happen at the counter?" Nolan asked curiously with Louis on his arms.

"I will tell you everything when we get back to the car. Nolan give Louis to me, you can go take our orders" Alina said and carried Louis then she walked out of the restaurant without looking at Chloe's direction.

What happened here? Nolan questioned in his head as he looked around and he saw Chloe seated at her table in tears.

Something doesn't feel right? Nolan said in his head.

"Table two, please" Nolan said to the waitress at the counter and she brought out their order and placed on the counter.

"Here's your order, sir" The waitress said and Nolan gave her, his ATM card.

Alina shivered at the car as she looked for her handkerchief.

She trembled in fear.

Nolan opened the car and placed his hands on her shoulders.

"You will be fine" Nolan comforted and Alina hugged him so tight.

"Nolan, I saw... I saw..." Alina stuttered as tears roll down her cheeks.

"Breathe in and exhale. I'm here, you don't need to be scared now" Nolan said softly as he pat her head.

Nolan stared at a space as he has s flashback on what Chloe said to him at the restaurant.

FLASHBACK***

Nolan was about to leave the restaurant but Chloe blocked his way at the door.

"Excuse me, what are you doing?" Nolan asked.

Chloe slide her hands into her pocket.

"You're Nolan, nephew of Margolis right?" Chloe asked with cold looks in her eyes.

"Yes, I am but who are you?" Nolan asked.

"Chloe Cha, friendly advice. You better end things with my daughter. You don't deserve someone like her. Everything about you is fake so stay out of her life. You're no good for Alina. I regret it so much that the both of you made it this far" Chloe said angrily and Nolan scoffed.

"Daughter? Did you just say daughter? I had no idea Alina's mum was still alive and well. Before you barge into our lives and cause a chaos. I think you should be the one to get lost or go back to the hell you crawled out from. You don't deserve to make an entry into Alina's life now. You don't deserve it" Nolan said coldly and brushed her shoulders as he walked away.

"I'm never going to allow you leave the life you want so dream on" Chloe half yelled but Nolan gave her deaf ears.

Chloe glared at him angrily.

"Why's she here? She disappeared for decades and suddenly she appeared from nowhere. Why?" Alina screamed in tears.

"Your mum?" Nolan asked and Alina broke the hug as she glared at him.

"She's not my mother. I lost my mother nineteen years ago so I don't have a mother" Alina said furiously.

"Of course, I think you mistook someone else for her. Don't let it get to you. She means nothing to you now so don't give her the room to bring sadness to happy world because both you and I know she doesn't deserve it" Nolan said calmly and Alina hugged him again.

Nolan's phone started ringing.

He brought out the phone from his pocket and took the call.

"Mr Simon, I'm sorry but can we meet up tomorrow. We don't have much to discuss about it so I guess I will handle it myself since an emergency arose. Have a nice day" Nolan said and hung up.

Alina hugged him tight refusing to let go.

Louis on his seat at the other end watched them as he licked his candy slowly.

"I'm here with you, love. We should leave now" Nolan said and Alina tightened her grip.

"Let's stay like this for a few minutes" Alina whined and Nolan pecked her ears.

"Louis's watching. He's probably wondering why's his mummy so sad. Let's go get some fresh air" Nolan said and Alina sluggishly broke the hug.

"Let's drop by at my dad's place after that" Alina added and Nolan nodded.

Matthew was still at the dorm when their CEO and manager rushed down to the dorm on hearing of Matt's arrival.

"Mingu, where's Matt?" The CEO asked curiously as they got into the sitting room.

"Matt went outside to get some fresh air but why are you here president?" Minyu asked.

"Matt and Greg didn't get into a fight right?" Their manager asked and Minyu bite his lower lips.

"Manager, were you also aware of Matt's decision about getting engaged to Aria?" Minyu asked slowly and the manager ruffled his hair frustratedly.

"Yes but I had no idea, Matt was going to push through with it so soon since I went with him to get the engagement ring" The manager explained and Minyu clenched his fist.

"Manager, you knew of this, all along and you didn't bother to let us know so we can prepare ourselves for this drastic decision. How are we supposed to keep up with career without Matt? Matt is our main vocalist and yet, he chose to break off like this. This isn't fair to either me or Greg. Now I understand, why Greg is so pissed. Matt always does this, he doesn't think about us or our opinions in his life. We've been together ever since we were teenagers and it didn't cross his mind to let us know about this. I'm happy for him for finding his life partner but Matt just betrayed us all by behaving this as well" Minyu yelled and Matt walked into the sitting room as well as Greg.

"Now that's the spirit Minyu" Greg applauded.

"Matthew!" The CEO called out and walked to him.

"Matt what's going on? What is the meaning of your post on IG? Don't tell me, you're made up your mind already?" The CEO asked and Matt nodded.

"I'm sorry everyone. I'm sorry for making you feel betrayed Minyu. I never wanted you to find out or feel this way when I tell you about my decision. I'm sorry everyone. If you're upset with me, I understand you completely because I would have felt the same way if either of you, had done same. I'm sorry" Matt said with a bow.

"Bullshit! Pretending to be a saint again and later on, you will go ahead and do whatever is in your head" Greg scorned and Matt raised his head up.

"President, will this affect our career in anyway? Since our contract will be coming to an end in a few months time. I don't think we will be having any problems with my decisions right?" Matt asked curiously.

"Not at all and since we're on the topic. We should all sit down" The CEO said and they all took their seats.

"Greg, Minyu, I'm sorry to say this but I'm well aware of Matt's decision as well. I advised him not to tell anyone so you guys don't discourage him about making this decision for himself. We should be happy, he didn't just propose to anyone but Aria the well known solo artist. You're all clocking 32 this year so let's accept our fates and behave like adults because Matthew's wedding won't affect anyone of you. You believe me, don't you?" The CEO asked and everyone kept mute.

"We didn't mean to sound selfish either, Matt. We were just upset you pushed us aside when making such a decision for yourself, right Greg?" Minyu asked and Greg nodded as he looked away.

"I'm sorry, can you please be happy for me" Matt said playfully as he ran to sit with Greg and he placed his arms on Greg's shoulders.

"Alright fine. Congratulations on your journey of being a groom" Greg pouted and Matt laughed.

"Thank you. I appreciate a lot"

"So when's your engagement party? Or no engagement party?" The CEO asked curiously.

Matt smiled widely.

"Since I've settled my score with everyone. Of course, there would be an engagement party" Matt announced.

SAM'S HOUSE....

Sam was seated at the courtyard going through some magazine when the gate cracked open and Chloe walked in.

Sam turned to the gate and the magazine on his hands dropped on the table.

"You!" Sam uttered in shock.

Chloe walked to the courtyard and took off her sunshades.

"Yes, it's me. Did you miss me?" Chloe asked with a smile and Sam stood up angrily.

"How dare you come in here? And how on earth did you find this place?" Sam asked angrily.

"Sam, please don't sound like that. We haven't seen each other for nineteen years now so please don't give me that look" Chloe said calmly.

"Why? Do you want me to throw a welcome party for you or present a welcome cake to you? What the nerve you've got to show up here? Before I do what I will regret, you should get out of my house and never show your face here ever again" Sam yelled.

"I saw our daughter, she's so beautiful. She looks just like her mum" Chloe said with a smile and Sam frowned.

"How dare you go anywhere close to my daughter? How dare you Chloe?" Sam yelled as he clenched his two fists. Holding himself back from laying a finger on Chloe.

"Alina's my daughter and I have every right to see or speak with her anytime I want to"

"On what grounds? You only gave birth to my daughter but you're not her mother. Alina lost her mum long time ago. Why on earth did you suddenly appear? You know so well that none of us need you in you in our lives anymore so what's this game you're trying to play? You've toyed with our lives once so don't you dare do it again or I might be forced to end your miserable life" Sam said furiously.

"Sam, you've always claimed to love Alina a lot more than I do but what kind of a father are you? Why would you marry your daughter off to someone like Nolan? Do you have any idea what kind of a family that brat crawled out from? I get it, I know I left my daughter and my family but I will never marry her off to someone like that. You don't deserve to be even called a father Sam" Chloe said angrily.

Sam laughed hard and crossed his arms across his chest.

"Why are you laughing? You think this is funny? You think your daughter's future is funny? The fact that you acknowledge such a useless reunion makes you such a dumbass man" Chloe cursed and Sam sat down.

"Why? How about you tell me what kind of a man Nolan is? You're saying all this definitely shows that you've kept a tab on my family so tell me exactly what I don't know. What's Nolan's background like?" Sam asked calmly.

"That bastard's mother is a prostitute and his father is a selfish bastard who toys with women feelings. His parents has such qualities, do you think their son wouldn't take after their footsteps? Nolan isn't worthy of being in Alina's life. He doesn't to be my daughter's husband so you have to break off this reunion" Chloe said seriously.

"How dare you!" Alina screamed from the gate and they turned to her.

Alina walked to them angrily.

"What gave you the right to barge in here and into my life as well? As if abandoning me wasn't enough, now you wish to break off my family? What kind of mother are you? You left our lives so the least you should do is live quietly somewhere far away from us all but no, you want to crawl back into our lives" Alina said angrily with hot tears rolling down her cheeks.

Alina walked closer to Chloe.

"Read my lips carefully. NEVER! Even though you're at the verge of dying, I would never ever consider you my mother, you put me through so much and I will never forgive you for that so get lost. I never want to see your face again. I hate you with every being inside of me" Alina said coldly.

Chloe stared at her in shock. She didn't realize when tears escaped her eyes.
