I Won't Let Myself Get Sick

Gu Zi quickly tidied the new sheets on the bed, folding the used ones into a bag.

As she stepped out of the rest area, she found Su Shen already in the office, having returned alone—clearly, he had dismissed everyone else.

"I cleaned up a bit for you. I'll take these back and wash them in the machine later," she said, holding the bag in her hands.

Su Shen walked over, gently taking the large bag from her and placing it on the couch. "Thanks," he said. "But it's starting to rain outside again. I'll drive you back when you're ready."

Although his schedule was packed—especially lately—it was starting to rain, and the walk from the pig farm to the nearest bus station was a considerable distance. The village wasn't as convenient as the city. He had his car and couldn't bear the thought of her walking that far alone in the rain.

Even though he was swamped, he could spare the time—after all, it wouldn't take much to push some tasks until tomorrow.
