Home Sweet Home

"Flowers," he said with a smile, "and they are for you." He thrust them into her hands, making her fumble with her phone.

"Why?" she asked, still in disbelief. She brought the flowers closer to her face and inhaled their sweet fragrance.

"You don't have to thank me," he said with pride, "I just thought I would make our goodbye memorable."

"I want a kiss. Now," Callum demanded, his voice low and husky.

"Ok, countdo..." Lucia's last word was cut off by his lips crashing against hers. He released her for a brief moment and said, "You promised, remember?" He leaned over and captured her delicious lips again.

Lucia struggled a bit with the large flower between them. She placed her hand on his solid and warm chest, feeling his heartbeat.

She couldn't believe this. She gave him an inch, but he took a mile.

Callum kissed her until she was too breathless and weak to resist. He finally let her go, seeing her lips red and slightly swollen. He was satisfied with his work. "Goodnight and goodbye, Lucia," he said softly, opening the door. He got out of the car and closed the door behind him. He stood on the sidewalk, looking tall and proud.

Lucia's eyes were slightly unfocused as she tried to catch her breath.

Seeing That she wasn't moving he teased "I can go over to your place,"

Lucia glared at him, she placed the flowers on the passenger seat. "Thank you for your flowers and goodbye, Callum," she said softly, starting the engine.

Callum smiled warmly at her, not offended by her rejection. He watched her drive away, feeling a strange mix of emotions.

Lucia kept her eyes on the rearview mirror, watching his figure grow smaller until he disappeared. She felt a touch of sadness. She didn't know if she'd ever see him again. After all, he had been her first kiss, a memory she would never forget.

After driving for about 10 minutes, Lucia arrived at a familiar building. She let go of the steering wheel and realized she was less tense. Looking over at the passenger's seat and seeing the flowers, she couldn't help but smile. The car still carried his scent. She leaned back, closed her eyes, and pulled off her face mask, revealing her beautiful features.

Opening her eyes, she relived the evening's scenes in her mind. She reached out to touch her lips, which were still tingling from his kisses. Slowly bringing her hand, she opened the car door, picked up the flowers and her phone, as she shut the door behind her. She made her way toward her apartment building.

The building was still as unappealing as ever, with its dull walls and dim lights. But she didn't care about that anymore. She walked up the stairs, feeling a bit of happiness in her soul. "This evening felt surreal," she said softly to herself.

Finally reaching her apartment door she inserted the key in the lock. She twisted it open and was greeted by a sweet smell of lemon. Switching on the lights she stepped inside, closing the door behind her.

The apartment was spacious and cozy, with a warm vibe that contrasted with the cold world outside. The living room had a large sofa, a coffee table, and a TV stand. The walls were painted in soft colors, with some paintings and posters adding some personality to the space.

The kitchen was modern and sleek, with stainless steel appliances and white cabinets.

The dining area had a round table with four chairs, where she often ate with Rose.

Lucia Walked into her bedroom which was simple but elegant, with a medium sized bed, a dresser, a closet, and a nightstand.

The door to the bathroom was open revealing the clean and bright walls, with a shower, a sink, a toilet, and a mirror.

Lucia placed the flowers on the reading table. She smiled as she smelled their fragrance, remembering the look in his eyes.

Lucia gave the flowers one last look, feeling a twinge of nostalgia. She decided to freshen up and get ready for bed.

Walking into the bathroom she turned on the faucet. Splashing some water on her face, washing away the traces of makeup and dirt. She dried her face with a towel and brushed her teeth. Before looking at herself in the mirror, noticing how her lips were still swollen from his kisses. Touching them gently, remembering how he made her feel.
