Lucia's grandpa beamed with pride as he watched his granddaughter the shop was alive with the sound of laughter and chatter from the trio. Lucia swiftly picked up the bags of food and clothes and moved them to the back room, to drop the items before any customers came by.
Angelina, who had been watching from the side, walked over to Lucia's grandma with a fake smile. "Hello, ma'am. How are you today?"
"I'm doing well," Lucia's grandma replied warmly. She had a soft spot for Angelina, even though she knew Angelina wasn't as hardworking as Lucia. "Is something bothering you?" she asked, noticing Angelina's nervous fidgeting.
"I'm really sorry I'm late again today. It was because my professor kept me after class. I didn't mean to be late," Angelina lied, putting on a pitiful face hoping to garner sympathy.
