"Ooh, too bad. Then maybe when you're done with work, you can join us for a drink," Oscar said, looking at her with a suggestive smile.
She opened her mouth to say something, but before she could, Oscar laughed.
"Just kidding, just kidding. Don't worry, we're not going to bother you. You're doing a great job and we appreciate your service," he said, in a light-hearted tone.
Lucia laughed awkwardly, relieved that he was joking. She nodded and walked away, feeling his eyes on her back.
As soon as she was out of earshot, Oscar tapped his finger on the desk.
"Ford, my man, she's gone. Will you stop staring? You're going to burn a hole into her if you continue," he teased.
Ford snapped out of his trance and glared at Oscar.
"I wasn't staring. I was just observing," he said, defensively.
"Observing? Is that what you call it? Come on, admit it. You like her. It's not hard. You can just use hypn..." Oscar said, slyly moving forward.
