Annoying Customer

The man looked up from his phone and sneered. He lifted the dome and stared at his food. "This is what you call a filet mignon?" he said in a snobbish voice. "It looks like a piece of leather. And what is this sauce? It smells like rotten mushrooms. And these vegetables are so bland and dry. I want a new dish, right now. And make sure it's worthy of a five-star restaurant this time."

Lucia felt a shock of disbelief. She knew the food was perfect. She had just brought it out from the kitchen, where the chef had prepared it with the finest ingredients and the utmost care. She could still smell the aroma of the meat and the sauce, and see the steam rising from the plate. She wondered if the man had any taste buds or just wanted to insult the chef. She took a deep breath and forced a smile.

"I'm very sorry to hear that, sir. I'll take this back and get you a new one. It'll be just a few minutes."
