"Maybe because that wannabe queen bee didn't show up," Samantha said.
"Really? I didn't even notice," Lucia said.
Samantha laughed, "Ouch! I'm pretty sure if she heard that, her whole face would swell, knowing how much she takes pride in making her presence known."
"Well, I really don't care for her. We're all here to work and get paid," Lucia said.
"Well, you're right," Samantha said, checking the time on her phone. "Well, I better start going. I don't want to be late. See you tomorrow, Lucia."
"See you, Samantha." Lucia said, waving at her.
Samantha nodded and crossed the road, heading to the bus stop. Lucia continued walking, humming a tune.
As she was walking, she felt someone brush into her, making her stumble. Before she could regain her balance, she felt her bag being pulled from her shoulder. She turned around and saw a man running away with her bag.
