Waiting for truth

"Now, scramb!" The man in a white coat grinned. "Before I ordered my men to beat you off. Have fun."

Yung Jae kept her eyes on him. He could easily break his long nose, but then those guards probably would round him up. Patience was gold.

Pinkle smirked as he left Yung Jae alone. He ordered the guard to raise and clean the mess and pointed out those trash rioters threw early.

Yung Jae lean on the wall as he enjoyed the warm wind. He hoped to catch Takeda if he came out from Control Tower. He needed the head of Game Master to answer everything. As a programmer, Takeda must know something.

"Work your arse!" Pinkle yelled. "Or I will fill the report, you disobey me!"

Yung Jae turned his attention to one of the Sentry Guards. The man on a cigarette while he went up. He flicked the cigarette butt into the garden and flared his eyes on Pinkle.

Who was Pinkle anyway? He ordered those poor lads around. They were soldiers, not enslaved people.

But who was him to comment on him anyway? He can't change anything, regardless. Yung Jae grabbed some tomatoes on the floor. It was still intact somehow.

The tomato was juicy in his mouth, vibrant with sweet, and fresh. It sprouted in his mouth, and red liquid with a few seeds slipped out from his lips' tail. The food tasted real. It looks like only when using cooking skills the food becomes bland.

He remembered back then, on Chae Wo's debut, he ate the same tomato. Back then, he came to cheer her up and brought a tomato and candy box, as Chae Wo loved both.

But everyone there treated him like a stray cat. The big gorilla bouncer even pushes him down on the puddle, thinking of him as no one.

They thought of Yung Jae as merely a fan. They were true. He was his sister's biggest fan, but, still, 'only for those' who may enter the backstage was bugging him until now.

The wind was strong back then under the grim red sky. He was alone, wasted time, until Chae Wo and his buddy found him half sleepy on the bench, hugging a ruined candy bar box supposed to her. Chae Wo schooled those bouncers for not letting him in.

He was sick for a day. On the good side, Chae Wo stayed with him for a day.

Everything happened back then because he was nobody in the eyes of no one.

Imagine if He was a big shot. Someone who everyone knew, probably the story would be altered back then.

He pulled his necklace out from his shirt. Gazing on a white half-heart necklace, he remembered back then, in his room, Chae Wo gave him a necklace. If he was trapped in the same condition, show that necklace and Chae Wo will come.

Weird. How would this necklace come with him? It was supposed to not exist in this world.

The crack on the door startled him. The door slid open. A man and a woman came out.

"Ask a guard to accompany you to Jakuta and send this message directly to the Princess." The girl with glasses lets another man out of the Control Tower.

"Alright. Wish me luck." The young man dashed with one Sentry Guard.

"Excuse me." Yung Jae went closer to her, the girl with wavy bun hair and glasses, who was just walking out from the control tower.

"I'm Yung Jae, on Chae Wo's team."

The slim African girl in the white coat nodded, recognizing Yung Jae as she had been told. "Chae wo management team? Pal, you save my arse. Mr. Takeda just asked me to find her. So where is she?"

"I don't know," said Yung Jae. "Let me enter and talk with Takeda."

"Sorry," she said. "Only those who had a pass card may enter. Inside were full of nothing for you anyway."

The Chae Wo's team meant nothing to them. He squished her brain out for another name worth their time.

"Just tell him Mr. Yuse sent me for event business, and now I need to talk with him."

The girl's oval face abruptly soaked in seriousness as she nodded. "Wait here." She ran inside and closed the door.

He lied again. He knew Mr. Yuseharu from the OSCOM marketing team, who developed this game.

The man came to his Team Nine animator headquarters and did some business with his boss. It looked like he was a big name on OSCOM, and sure enough, his name weighed something for them.

From what he heard, Chae Wo was missing. He hoped she was alright. Then he remembers Jo Wo. He is supposed to be here playing the game.

Two of his family might be in danger, but he didn't know where they were.

Yung Jae leaned on the wall, crossing his arms, and studied the Pinkled man. He talked with a boss tone and addressed those guards like they were working under him.

Then, the Pinkled man took notice of him and came to him. "What are you doing here?"

"Leaning on the wall."

"You, get lost. Get the fuck out of here. You and those other players are disgusting. I know what you are after."

"Oh really?"

"You're spying on us, do you? Listen to your little shot. Just have fun out there, and let us work to solve the fucking thing."

"Work?" Yung Jae smirked. "I don't see your work on fucking thing. I see you work on fucking them."

Pickled goobed his choker. His nose almost touched him. "You, I know you are one of them. Why do you not play like them?"

"I have work to do."

"Feeling smart, huh." Pushing Yung Jae against the wall, He took a step back. "Guard! Drag this dog out of my sight!"

"Oh ho ho," Yung Jae said. "Feel strong now, Prinkled? Have the power to order them, heh?"

Four guards came; two tugged Yung Jae's arm, but he shoveled them off.

"Let me go." Yung Jae showed his new earring to the guard. "You dare touch me? One word from me, you probably would face her royal Highness's wrath."

Those guards saluted him with two fingers. They stood like bamboo. Other guards who went up, startled and hurried, gave a salute just like others to Yung Jae.

The pickled man's jaw dropped. For a while, he lost a word until he regained his consciousness. "What…what are you guys doing? I'm the commanding terrace officer! Go, fuck him off! Are you listening to me? Damn those NPC."

Yung Jae gazed at the new buddies one by one, right in their eyes. Many of them trembled, especially those who grabbed him early.

"If I ask you to shoot him alive, do you comply?" Said Yung Jae as he glared at Pinkled.

"Sire, yes, sire!" The Sentry Guards shouted in unison.

Yung Jaee put the earring in with pride as he was sure the table had turned and gazed at the Prinkled. "Reading your rifles, guys."

Panicking, he fell and crawled on the run, but he fell again. He leaned toward the door like a dog, barking. "Traitor! Traitor! Help me!"

Lucky for him, the door was open, and the girl helped him up.

"What happened?" She asked.

"They want to shoot me. They are traitors!" He cried, hiding behind the girl.

'He ordered the guard to clean the mess," Yung Jae answered. "They disobey and get angry at those insults. Besides, he calls them NPC."

Those sentry guards nodded and showed displeased expressions.

"Seriously, Carlos?" The girl flickered on her college. "Ordered them and called them NPC? Mr. Takeda ordered you to clean the mess with the help of… other players, not them."

She pulled him out. "Clean the terrace and ask forgiveness from them. And you, young guy, follow me inside. Mr. Takeda wanted to see you."

Yung Jae smirked at Carlos. "Goodbye, Janitor. Work hard, clean these messes.*
