I Knew It Was You

When Baahu pulled away, Lexi was speechless and just stared at him. She was not expecting Baahu to act that way until he broke the awkward silence in the galley.

"Are you okay, Lexi? You looked like you'd seen a ghost," Baahu said.

"What just happened?" Lexi's brain lagged behind as she still tried to process the situation.

Baahu chuckled and cupped her face, "Let me take care of you from now on. Let me show you how much I like you. I want to make you fall in love with me, hoping that it will stay the same when you find your mate."

Lexi lowered her head and was hesitant to reveal it but she did it anyway. "You don't need to worry about my mate. I have found him."

Baahu frowned and got irritated, he hadn't started courting Lexi but it looked like he already had a competition. "You did? Who is it? Did he reject you? Just thinking about it makes my blood boil."

"M-My mate is y-you…"
