Riley was momentarily stunned, unable to believe the Pokai had fallen so easily.

Even if Cosmi's tongue licking move has paralyzing effect, it shouldn't have taken down an intermediate level spirit beast like Pokai.

Seeing the flickering flame in the lampshade about to go out, Riley quickly understood.

A dark, glowing crystal fell from the Pokai's body.

The weakened Pokai stiffened, no longer caring about Cosmi's attack or the nearby humans.

It tried to float up but felt as if a thousand heavy stones were pressing down on it, preventing movement.

The Pokai stared intently at the crystal on the ground, using its arms to slowly crawl forward.

Almost there, almost...

But in the next moment, a hand picked up the crystal.

It was that human!

The Pokai's body shuddered, and the flame inside it flickered violently as it looked up.
