Chapter 32

1:12 AM

Los Angeles

February

"Noel?", someone whispered his name nervously through his cellphone, he heart dropped as he recognized who it was.

"Denise, ¿Porque vos me estas llamando de otro numero?" (Denise, why are you calling from another number?) he asked as he was getting worried, he got into a sitting position on his bed while awaiting for an answer.

"Mira...me tienen atrapada un puto hotel. De suerte este maje dejo su celular, así es como te llamando ahorita"(Look...they have me trapped in a fucking hotel. Luckily, this idiot left their cellphone, this is how I'm able to call you now)

she replied to him in a serious tone.

"En donde putas estas? Mándame la ubicación, allí voy" (Where the fuck are you? Send me the location, I'm on my way) he told her as he rapidly put his black sneakers on, he had to save his friend, even if he had to do it alone.

"Te lo mande"(I sent it to you) she said softly, he went over to grab his black gloves before getting out of his bedroom before rushing through the doorstep.

"Vaya pues. ¿En que parte, cual cuarto estas? Yo no soy advino"(Alright. In which part, which room is it? I'm not a genie) he asked her frantically as he grabbed a mask to cover his identity, he put his leather jacket on and getting his keys to head out the door.

"Yo no se...esperate", (I don't know...wait) she visually examined around the room before she noticed a pair of keys with a keytag on them on top of a small wooden drawer, she grabbed them to see the number 261.

"261", she said before she noticed the room door slowly opening, forcing her to quickly quit the call.

"¿Denise? ¿Denise? Mierda...", Noel knew he had to act rapidly before they could hurt her, even worse, kill her...

He hurriedly got onto his black motorcycle before he was speeding his way towards the location in hopes to get her out alive.

"Go!", Parker yelled as violent chaos ensued, he targeted a couple of men with his firearm as they were firing back bullets towards them.

His men started to move forward, killing them couple of moments later.

"Where the fuck is she?", Parker asked one of his men through the comms while lowering his gun.

" I'm tracking her phone, it's taking me to the right side of the building", the man replied in a concentrated manner.

"Check the right side! All of you check the left side, just in case. And you guys guard the entrance while we go. Come on, move, move, move!", Parker commanded his men as  they rapidly moved their ways inside the hotel.

"Did you hack yourself into the camera system?", Parker asked him as they went towards an elevator.

"I'm in", he said politely.

"Where do you see being the most guarded?" , Parker gazed at Leon who decided to join by his side.

"Floors 12, 15, 24, 27, and 34, sir", he responded to him, causing him to sigh in confusion.

"We're going to the 12th floor" Parker told his friend as he pushed the button. "Everyone on the right side, split up to check 12, 15, 24, 27 and 34", Parker spoke while the elevator doors closed, lifting them up to their destination.

Once the doors opened, they were met by a rainfall of bullets ringing out in the open, they both rapidly moved out before running to a hallway.

"We captured Nathaniel Cordova, the room number is 261", one of his men stated through the comms, automatically realizing that they were on the wrong floor.

"Shit! Wrong floor!", Parker screamed at Leon while shooting at a bunch of men, realizing his men haven't arrived yet, they were on their own and definitely outnumbered.

"Then why the fuck are we here?!", his friend asked, Parker continued to kill a few men along with his friend while stepping backwards, he turned around before noticing another elevator in the distance, his way was blocked as an old man appeared out of the blue from a distance in front of him.

"You!", the man yelled furiously, firing twice without warning.

Leon grabbed his other gun before killing off two men at once, he turned around before he froze instantly as he saw the man collapsed down to the floor unconsciously, he saw his friend tightly hold their chest, moving his head to gaze at him directly.

"This is not...how it was supposed to go", Parker muttered as he moved his hand out of his chest to see his hand covered in blood, Leon's eyes widened in shock.

"Damn it...", Leon cursed under his breath as he rushed to help him, Parker continued to keep pressure on the wound before they decided they needed to leave and focus on him first.

"Let's go, forget about her", Leon offered him assistance as he let him wrap a shoulder around his neck, lowering himself down a bit to place his arm under his.

"Leon, don't panic..", Parker could feel his anxiety, his worry about whether he was at a life or death situation.

Leon stayed silent as he rushed back to go to the first floor, he reached all the way towards an elevator, but before he could, a bunch of Parker's men came out while running towards their way.

"There's more incoming!", one of them yelled out before they get into position to shoot again.

"Mr.Klein? Mr.Klein?", the man who's in charge of security cameras called out repeatedly.

"Copy, what's up?", Parker unmuted himself before Leon lied him down to a corner.

"The target just left through with someone, they must be acquainted since she didn't fight back or did any self- defense of any sort. The police department was called by a staff member, so you need to get out of there now", he simply scoffed as he saw Leon join in as they continued killing people down.

"Shit, let's get you out of here...", Leon told his friend as he picked him up in the previous position as before, trying to get him through the elevator.

"Don't go through the main entrance! Their backup is entering through there, get to an emergency exit", Parker glanced at his friend before he used his other arm from entering the lift.

"Emergency exit. Entrance is too risky", Leon sighed in desperation before trying to rushing down through another hallway, which luckily, an emergency exit appeared.

"Oh fuck, I'm losing blood", Parker could feel the warm liquid drip down his hand, soaking his shirt.

"Just stay with me", Leon was reassuring him it was going to be fine, while his mind told him it wasn't.

He was rationally hoping he didn't have through go to the same nightmare again, losing a loved one due to not being able to help them.

He barged through the door while rapidly going down the stairs, Parker trying to catch up his pace.

"Fuck you, man- you're going too fast", he complained before laughing softly, Leon didn't seem to mind his remark and continued to get down the stairs as fast as he could.

"Everyone this is Mr.Klein, get out of there now, the target has escaped. I repeat, they have escaped", Parker notified everyone before they finally reached down the exit.

They went outside to hear a warfare of gunshots from the distance, Parker suddenly cried out in pain as he suddenly fell down to his knees.

"Fuck! Fuck...Damn it, it fucking hurts", Parker felt his adrenaline wear off, the pain became unbearable for him to continue moving.

"Come on! I won't leave you like this", Leon told him as he used his strength to try to get Parker off the ground, knowing he was at a close range from the shooting.

"Leon, leave without me. I can't continue on like this", Parker pleaded as his vision was started to slightly become foggy from the intense discomfort, Leon suddenly got a huge wave of fear over him.

"I WON'T LEAVE YOU! Come on, get on your feet!", Leon blurted out, his panic was clearly visible as he started to drag his friend around as he wouldn't get up no matter how much effort he did.

"Leon, leave me. You're going to get yourself killed", Parker repeated himself, Leon went around the parking lot behind a light pole, suddenly a bullet flew near him, causing him to drop him down behind the light pole as to cover him.

Leon pulled out his firearm as two men were pointing their weapons at him, he pulled the trigger a couple of times before causing both of them to crash down.

"Leon...leave me", Parker's usual energetic tone went weak as his mind became hazy, he was losing grip of placing pressure on his wound to stop his bleeding, his eyes were focusing to look at Leon's.

"I won't leave you, no matter how much you fucking hurt me, I won't leave your side", his friend reassured him nervously, he simply didn't want his companion to leave him yet.

Leon placed his arms under his shoulders before he reached one of the car pulled up, two of Parker's men got out of the vehicle before opening the door.

"Get him inside", one of them said before they ran towards another vehicle.

He did by carrying him onto the backseat before slamming the car door, he went through the other side to assist him.

Before they knew it, they zoomed their way out of the hotel.

"Ha...Leon...I love you", Parker mumbled under his breath, Leon decided to help him by letting his friend lie his head on his lap, using his hands to firmly put pressure on his wound.

"I love you...", he continued saying that since he definitely thought it was the end of his life.

"Don't fucking die on me", Leon warned him before he let out a shaky breath, trying to keep his composure.

Parker slightly smiled while bearing his pain, "I thought you  you'd prefer me dead in a tomb".

"Fucking damn it, Parker. Quit it. Just quit it", Leon replied to him, his eyes were slowly getting moist as his friend kept saying the most painful things in such a fateful situation.

"I love you, so move on and... forget about me...", Parker completely lost his strength in himself as he shut his eye.

"Parker?", Leon called out his name as they miraculously reached the clinic of a doctor they really know of, Dr. Collins.

Dr. Collins seemed to be waiting outside before he brought out a gurney to bring his friend inside.

The doctor made his way to open the car door before getting his friend out of the car onto the gurney.

"This doesn't look good", the doctor said as he rushed inside, Leon immediately followed him inside.

"Stay here", the doctor told him as they entered the waiting room, he pushed the gurney inside into an operating room.

"Parker...", Leon stood there in place as he realized he might be too late...

Way too late...

He slowly went back and sat in a chair silently, three of his men stand outside of the entrance before two more get inside the waiting room.

He was absolutely terrified, how could he have prevented that? Why did he let it happen so easily? When was this fateful action planned to happen?

He hated himself, he took the blame for it, he was there when it happened, just when she died.

He was there at the moment her soul was taken by fate, it was his fault for letting happen so easily. He couldn't get her help so fast, in this case, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

Either way, he had failed to save them, how shameful of him. He deserved to die instead of them, he deserved for fate to give him his punishment for failing the people he cherished the most.

The one who's been along his side despite being immature, wild, and a bother was Parker. They had went through all stages of life together, even if they made mistakes that would cause them to argue and fight constantly.

He loved his friend to death, nobody could change his mind. Even if he used his weakness against in a heated moment, he still loved him. He had a special place in his heart since no matter how much damage they accidentally cause to each other, he still made his efforts to look after him, helping him, and always gave him sympathy.

He hoped this wasn't the end...

He wished it wasn't...
