Leaving a Suicide Note

Once they had left, the guests began whispering about Alla, speculating about how she could have gotten involved with such people. Alla ignored them, turning to Maggie and Vincent who were approaching her.

"Alla, who was that?" Maggie asked, worry evident in her eyes. Her intuition told her those people were no good.

Alla smiled and patted her hand, "That was the president of the Roman Corporation. He came to get an important contract file from me." She spoke loudly on purpose, knowing Maggie's wedding dress was fitted with a small microphone.

Upon hearing her explanation, the guests started to whisper again, this time in awe of Alla's connections with the CEO of the Roman Corporation. Vincent's relatives, having mostly lived in the outskirts of A CITY, were not acquainted with many influential figures. But they had heard of A CITY's richest man. Alla's explanation was meant to dispel their prejudice, preventing them from thinking less of Maggie because of her friends.

The guests seemed to accept the explanation, but Maggie couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right. If it was as simple as Alla said, why would the CEO of Roman Corporation come with so many people? It seemed as though they were here to cause trouble. And why was he touching Alla so inappropriately?

Maggie was increasingly worried. Removing the microphone from her dress, she took Alla's hand and looked at her with concern. "Alla, if you're in danger, you have to tell me. I will fight for justice for you, even if it costs me my life!"

Alla had been attractive since they were young and often attracted unwanted attention. In the past, Ricky had protected her. Now that Ricky was gone, it was up to her to protect Alla.

Hearing Maggie's words, Alla felt a warm feeling spread in her heart. She was careful not to let her tears show, for fear of worrying Maggie further. She simply nodded and pushed Maggie to continue with the wedding.

The ceremony was coming to an end after the exchange of rings and pouring of champagne. Seeing Maggie and Vincent going from table to table, toasting the guests with smiles on their faces, Alla finally felt a sense of relief. The wedding had gone smoothly. Now, she only had to deal with Billie.

After sending Maggie and Vincent to their bridal suite, Alla returned home. When she went to her bedroom to change out of her bridesmaid dress, a bank card fell out of the closet. It was the money she had given to Maggie, who had secretly returned it to her closet.

Alla picked up the bank card and couldn't help but smile. Maggie was always like this, always giving and never asking for anything in return. Even with Vincent, she never took advantage of him.

Even though the wedding house wasn't under her name, she willingly shared the mortgage payments with Vincent. She was the kind of big sister who always made others feel warm inside.

Holding the bank card, Alla thought about her impending death and how she hadn't left a single word for Maggie. Maggie would surely be devastated. With this in mind, she sat down at her desk, picked up a pen, and began to write a suicide note.
