Planting Ginseng

Feng Lin also felt as ecstatic as Dong Huang and kept nodding. His hands trembled with excitement, and it took him a while to steady them.

"Xiao Huang, it looks like this ginseng is very old. We must be more careful when digging so we don't damage the small roots," he reminded her.

"Okay."

While Feng Lin dug the soil, Dong Huang moved it to the side. The two of them were so focused on digging the ginseng that they didn't notice the blue sky slowly turning into a red hue.

When they finally finished, there was a big hole in the ground. Feng Lin picked up the ginseng and carefully placed it inside the bamboo basket. The soil wrapped around the ginseng's main body was left intact to prevent damage.

Dong Huang quickly put the soil back into the hole, even gathering some from another area to make the ground more even. They stomped on the soil until it hardened, then picked some wild vegetables to cover the ginseng inside the bamboo basket.
