A world beyond ours

"My head, that's the last time I'm opening any boxes," Astra muttered, waking up in a world far different from her own,

"Where...am I?"

A cold breeze rushed passed her as she got up from the ground,

The clear dark blue sky overhead with stars that are closer than one might think,

Milky Way and other galaxies overhead were all visible to the naked eye.

Pink grass flowed in the wind, and the calming sound of nearby inhabitants sang a song in search of a friend or a mate,

Pink, four-eared bunnies that blend into the grass, bees the size of houses, snake-like creatures that pop up from the ground like worms, and fluffy green hampsters that roll around In the tall grass,

Astra walked around this magical land in awe, admiring everything she passed by.

"Wait, am I dreaming?" She stopped to think about it before pinching herself to be sure, instantly stopping because of the pain,

"Nope, definitely not."

"The Galaxies look so cool from this close!" She shouted, looking at the sky,

"Astra! Focus!!" She shook her head violently, trying to calm herself down,

"Ok, how did I get here,"

"First, I opened this weird package,"

"Then I got a watch,"

"I wore the watch, and then it started to glow."

"It counted down, and boom! I'm here."

"If it got me here, it definitely gonna be able to take me out, right?" She thought, looking at the watch,

She hadn't noticed it before, but on the bezel of the watch, there was something marked on it.

"DHS," She said to herself, looking at the watch.

Once again, she decided to fiddle with the watch in hopes of something happening to take her home, but nothing.

Seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours, but nothing seemed to be working,

Astra lay in the pink grass staring up at the beautiful night sky, frustrated.

"Stupid watch," She muttered in frustration.

She lifted her arm and continued to fiddle with it but still nothing,

"Why won't you work?!"

The calming breeze from the atmosphere around her continued the blow the grass in one direction, causing some to tickle her face and brush against her cheek,

However, the grass wasn't the only thing touching her face.

Astra looked to her left as she felt something cold, wet, and slimy rubbing against her face, only to see a cub who had seemed to lose its way,

Its black fur faded to white in its lower region with black and white stripes along its tail, Its horns looked to be made out of crystals, and its emerald green eyes put Astra in a daze,

"Aww, where did you come from little guy?" Astra smiled, petting the cub on the head,

The two of them just lay there in the pink grass, looking at the sky above them,

"I'm so far away," She muttered, looking at the blue dot far ahead

"So many lightyears, in a few seconds.."

"Though, that could not be Earth and I've gone further than I thought,"

"Right?" she turned to the cub who was lying down next to her, ready to nap in the grass,

"Yeah, I guess you're right,"

"We'll sleep and figure it out later,"

She closed her eyes to take a nap, the vision of the stars engraved into her mind she couldn't help but smile, she couldn't believe where she was and how she got there, its almost like a dream,

"Please, don't wake me up." She muttered as her eyes closed one final time,

__________

Ring, ring,

"What's that sound,"

Ring, ring,

"Turn it off!"

"I want to sleep more-"

Ring, ring,

Astra reached for her alarm clock, pressing the button to turn it off before slowly getting up from bed,

"Morning already," she muttered,

"I just had an amazing dream," She stretched and yawned before getting out of bed,

"Everything was so real I actually thought I got sent to another world,"

Astra looked under her bed for her house slippers only to find two big emerald green eyes staring back at her,

Silence remained between the two of them before it all finally clicked,

"So, It wasn't a dream," She muttered,

The cub hissed at her leaping into her face,

"What the hell is wrong with you!" She shouted, her voice muffled as they struggled against each other crashing into multiple objects in the room,
