Everything Right in the World

The snow had stopped sometime that night, and the next day, while cold, it wasn't unbearable to be outside. Still, Newt moved his Care for Magical Creatures class inside for the time being so as not to risk sending anyone to Madam Florence with frosted toes.

Hope was in the back behind the desk feeding woodlice to all the new Bowtruckles they'd just gotten. Tina had sent them straight away from New York after rescuing them from the circus.

In fact, all the creatures from the circus now resided in Newt's suitcase, where they could look after them until they were well enough to be released back into their natural habitat.

Looking up, Hope smiled, seeing the Gryffindors and Slytherins coming in, but when she thought they would be taking their seats as usual, they all stormed to the front of the room.

"Are you okay, Hope!" Many shouted at once.

"We read what happened in the Daily Prophet!" Another yelped.

Hope frowned in confusion and stood away from the Bowtruckle cage so as not to frighten them, and then she nodded with a smile. She honestly hadn't thought anyone else would know, she'd been counting on it- but the look in their worried expressions made her heart swell.

They cared about her. They cared about what happened to her. If she were to have died, many might have even grieved her. It wasn't exactly a happy thought, but it was nice all the same. To know somebody would miss you if you were gone.

"I'm alright," she nodded, "they wrote about that in the Daily Prophet?"

Sarah nodded, the girl who had once sneered at first years in the hall was now teaching them to play Wizards Chess in the library, offering her cunning wit to help them improve.

"But I think most of it was lies," she nodded, "they said they made you perform like another creature. That isn't true…is it?"

Hope pursed her lips, receiving a few hugs here and there as she pondered the answer. "Sometimes people do horrible things because in their mind they think it's right."

"So it is true…" one of the Gryffindors whispered as Hope watched a different kind of fear seep into Sarah's eyes.

"But," Sarah started, "if someone thinks they're right, how would they ever know they're wrong? Wouldn't it all just continue because they think it's right?"

It was a good question.

Repeating history based on past values was a real problem.

Hope looked around at them, observing their little innocent faces stricken with worry about the horrors they didn't know lived outside these walls. Glancing at the corner where Newt was preparing things for class but taking his time, she knew he wouldn't interrupt this conversation.

She also knew he was listening intently.

"Well," Hope nodded, looking at Sarah and then the rest of them, "I think a lot of people have forgotten how to listen." They were all completely quiet now. "Those Poachers probably grew up in places where doing something like this was okay. They heard it all the time- their family members and friends. However, when you only listen to the people around you, you don't hear the rest of the world. While one place might think one way, another place thinks differently. Many people settle for what they already know; they don't think outside the circle they grew up in, but that's not how it should be. If one group is screaming one thing, but you hear off in the distance, something different. A different thought, a different idea. You shouldn't just scream back that they're wrong and you're right, and this is just how the world works. You should be asking why. Why do they think this way- what brought them to this conclusion? Ask questions from all over, and listen to everyone before you decide for yourself. Don't… take it as truth because that's what people have told you. Just because they say it and are older doesn't always mean they're right." Hope sighed softly. "Then there are some people who know it's wrong. They know it hurts people, but they do it anyway because they think what they want and what they think is the only thing that should matter. But that's the best part about this place. You're at Hogwarts learning about the world you'll eventually explore for yourself. You're not just learning a few spells to use your wand just to wash dishes or sweep the floor. You are here learning to use magic so that when you go out into that world," she pointed at the window, "you can stop the people that do these things."

Hope glanced at Newt, who had stopped working and was watching her from the corner of his eye.

"Professor Scamander worked hard at Hogwarts. As did Professor Dumbledore. They saved me," she looked at the students again, "one day someone you care about might be in danger, and you can be the one to help them. As long as you keep working and don't lose sight of how much sway you have with the world."

Sarah stared at her and shook her head. "But what if we make a mistake? What if we're the ones who make the world bad?"

Biting her lip, Hope nodded. "People make mistakes all the time, even the best-intentioned person, but it's not about the mistake. It's about what you do after that makes the difference."

The rest of the day went on similar to the morning- with students asking Hope how she was and giving her hugs and cards. By the end of the day, her face hurt from smiling, but she couldn't stop.

Newt pressed a hand against the small of her back as they returned to her room. "I think they like you." He chuckled, kissing her cheek.

Hope blushed. "Hm, and many have found a new hero in you." She giggled. "Do you know how many times I heard one day they would be just like Professor Scamander, and they'd bust in and save all the people and creatures?" She grinned, elbowing his ribs as she set her cards on the side table.

Glancing over at him, she smiled. "My hero too…"

Newt chuckled and took his wand out, waving at the record player in the corner. Someone To Watch Over Me began. Its soft piano tune filled Hope with bubbling warmth, coloring her cheeks maroon.

"Is that right?" He murmured with a small smile, offering her his hand, which she took without hesitation.

Resting one hand on his shoulder, the other in his hand, and his other on her waist, she slowly swayed with him. She gazed into his eyes, letting herself lose herself in his sea of green. They hadn't changed since the day they met- always holding such kindness and an innocence she could never hope to achieve. Spinning in a slow circle, the fire's glow made it feel more like a dream than reality.

"What you said today in class," Newt murmured, stroking his thumb along her jaw, "I think you inspired them." He smiled crookedly. "I wish it could have been under other circumstances, but sharing your story with them…I think it opens a lot of eyes."

Hope smiled, blushing a deeper shade of red.

"You often worry you have nothing to share with me, but that's not true," he said softly, "you surprise me every day with your truth."

Leaning his head down, he kissed her lips softly, which she returned with gentle pressure. Every word that praised her was like a stroke to her pussy. Making her body tingle and blood rush to her head.

Even as the song ended, their tongues stroked each other in their mouths. Slow and sensual as they made their way to the couch. Newt sat with a gentle plop while she straddled his lap.

Hope's heartbeat fell into sync with his as if their essences were intertwining. Her fangs slowly pierced her gums, making her moan as they ached in a pleasurable way. Slowly, she traced her fangs along his jaw and to his throat, where she sucked the side of his neck without piercing the skin.

Newt's soft whining moan made her shiver.

Her hands cradled his face as a different kind of hunger built. She wanted to feed on him, but not because she needed blood.

Because she needed him.

"You can," he whispered against her temple, "if you'd like."

A thrill flipped through her stomach.

"I'll be careful…"

"I trust you." He breathed.

Hope pulled back just enough to gaze into his eyes again, to find any hesitation. She saw none. Instead, he raised a hand and stroked his thumb along the fang jutting from her full lips.

Closing her eyes, she moved forward slowly, her tongue brushing against the tender area between his neck and shoulder. She sucked the area deeply, bringing the blood to the surface before sinking her fangs into his flesh. Careful not to hurt him, but the low groan he released spurred her on.

Hope drank slow and deep, letting it last. The warm sticky texture coated her tongue thick and sweet, draining down her throat in tiny swallows. Her hands massaged his shoulders as she fed, but the growing need between her legs was starting to heighten.

She whined softly against his throat, pressing her center against his thigh. Hope grinded in a slow circle. While she licked along his neck, catching extra droplets of blood, Newt's nimble fingers pulled her dress up. His hands stroked along the curve of her ass before his fingers slipped beneath her already-soaked panties.

Sucking in a soft gasp, she rested her forehead against his.

"You tasted me. I want to taste you." His voice barely came above a shaking whisper, but his words sent another flood of arousal through her.

Newt was so careful with her. He hovered above her, lowering her down on the carpet in front of the fire before removing her dress in a quick pull. The built-in bra disappeared with it.

Hope watched him slide her panties off, and once he stuffed them in his pocket with a crooked smile, she spread her legs to him. Letting him see her fully.

At first, he stared, which lasted only a second before he lowered himself, and his hot tongue stroked up her center.

Rolling her eyes back, Hope clenched the throw pillow next to her and moaned. Spreading her legs wider.

He didn't eat like Albus did, which was more of a frenzy. Newt was slow and deliberate as if he were licking his plate clean of sweet cream.

The ocean waves that crested and flooded her came in deep pulses, but Newt didn't stop. Hope felt another, deeper pressure building as he continued his slow feast.

She sucked in a breath and ground herself against his mouth, reaching for the next climax, but his hands pressed down on her hips. Keeping her frustratingly still before sucking her clit between his lips, his tongue licking slow circles.

Hope whined, her body lifting involuntarily but not her hips. They stayed secure under Newt's grip.

"Newt," she gasped, a hot flush running over her body as her pussy quivered, "I'm going to come…"

He didn't stop, but his eyes flashed at her, telling her he knew.

She threw her head back as the dam broke, and she flooded into his mouth, but still- he didn't stop. Newt continued eating as if she were the best dessert he'd ever had.

Panting now, she began to whimper as her body's sensitivity escalated. She couldn't handle it anymore.

Hope suddenly had Newt on his back in a surge of power and strength. Her hands pressed his wrists firmly above his head. He gaped up at her in astonishment, lips glossy from her pussy that she could feel dripping down her inner thigh.

She took no time to remove his clothing before taking his hands in hers and pinning them above his head again.

They didn't say a word as Hope lowered herself, taking him into her deeply with ease. She watched his face, adoring how his eyes rolled back on that first wet stroke. It took all her muscles to begin pumping herself up and down on him steadily.

Hope didn't take her eyes off his face, observing his heart and breathing rate. How some strokes made them spike more than others, finding that if she finished every other downward thrust with a circular grind, he practically fell apart under her.

Newt had a look of desperation in his eyes now, and she knew he was close. Just a little more, and she'd undo him.

"Hope-" he gasped suddenly, fighting an invisible force.

"I know," she ground another circle against him, "let go, Newt."

And he did.

Hope watched in wonder as she watched his features cringe tightly as his cock twitched once, twice, and then he came inside her. The relief that washed over him smoothed the lines of his face, making him look higher than a kite.

Hope continued her thrusts, milking him as his hot cum mixed with her sweet arousal, making a mess of them both.

Pressing a soft kiss to her lips, she let herself stay there for a moment. She allowed the comfort of Newt being deep inside her, keeping her full. Being connected like this was something she couldn't compare to anything else. It just felt wholly right.

"I love you," Hope whispered against his ear, smiling as she watched his lips trying to form the same words but couldn't quite get them out.

Hope giggled and nodded, stroking his lower lip.

"I know."
