The World Of Possibilities

I was transported in a white plane.

A few seconds later a panel appeared in front of me.

"The avatar building section..."

I click the [Username Tab] and wrote my character name < Shirachi >

It is a word play of my name, since it will be stupid to use my real name here.

I choose the [Edit Avatar] option and edit it.

I was wearing a dark blue V- neck shirt, brown leather belt, black leather left arm guard, brown battle pants, and black leather boots. Below appeared my status.

[Shirachi] lvl. 1 - Human (Unknown)

HP : 1000/1000

Exp : 0

Attack : 100

Defense : 50

Energy : 100

Equipped Weapon : Iron Sword (Normal Tier)

Tamed Pet : N/A

As I finished creating an avatar an introduction about the world played on a floating screen.

Introduction: In a vast universe of Sky, Moon, and Earth countless adventures awaits you. And as the history unfolds, the whole Ruine Realm is in a moment of imbalance. The Great War had resulted in the disconnection of the three realms— Mortal Realm, Guardian Realm and God Realm. As the chosen one, it is the time to choose your path— Explore the world and find the purpose of your existence.

I set myself as a human for starters. After all, I do not plan to establish myself here.

I entered the data and I was sent directly at the Beginner's City of Humans.

I built other hidden foundation cities inside the mortal realm, aside from the , which was based on concepts of other worldly creatures.

I gazed at the information and it seems like there are other foundational cities that have been unlocked.

Oh, of the sky tribe, the city of Sky Elves and the of the moon tribe, the city of Ghouls, or should I call them the undead.

Through my GM network I accessed the GM board and noticed that I could only access [World Information], [World Map: God Eyes], [System Updates], and probably the most useful one [GM I.D.].

The obstruction code is really a hassle, but it is better than nothing.

I looked at World Information and found the number of players who are in this game.

"It might be improper to call them hostages at this point."

There are currently more than 2 million players logged in at , 5 thousand on , and 2 hundred on .

Based on this data, most players eventually thought that humans were the only race available. But a few players got the hint I gave during one of my interviews.

If this game hadn't been used for such a plot, the new players will already have the hint and other foundational races will have been eventually unlocked.

Anyways, it seems that few players are already in the first Adventurer City, Gotham Castle.

That's quite a good news, most of them already sorted their thoughts about not being able to log out.

Reading the forums, it looks like most players thought I was the culprit, some said that it was APXCorp behind this, also a few comments said that it was just a promotional event, since this is the first launching of the game.

At the very least as the GM, I should give them an explanation.

A few privileges of being the creator is that I know a lot of tricks and hacks.

I uploaded a recorded video of the interview of APXCorp CEO, Haruto-san.

"I just hope they will manage to fill in the gaps and decide for themselves on what to do next…"

Lastly, I uploaded a portion of the . Given that they decipher this, they might find a way to unlock all the hidden quests and hidden options.

It is my responsibility to make them enjoy the game as normally as possible.

I immediately access the System Update and entered the cheat code

And there appear another tab, [Updates]

Luckily, I had enough time to upload this code so I'm able to upgrade my weapons and status, even if it's just this much.

For now, I can only add 400,000 EXP, that means I can only level up a couple of times without grinding. I also have an additional 1000 health, +50 attack, +100 defense, + 50 Energy, Ability ( Requirement: Level 5 and Above), 1 Normal Pet Capture Card (Captures only 1 Normal Monster Pet), 1 Pet Summoning Card (Requirement: Pet Tamer License)

My status changed drastically.

[Shirachi] lvl. 5 - Human (Battle Apprentice)

HP : 4000/4000

Exp : 0

Attack : 350 (+15)

Defense : 175 (+100)

Energy : 550

Equipped Weapon : Bronze Sword (Bronze Tier)

Tamed Pet : N/A

Based on the status, it is enough not to worry about traveling from here to the next city.

I also got an Ability , that is very useful to Blacksmiths. Purposely, I categorized the weapon in different levels starting as Normal Tier, then comes the Bronze Tier.

As per the Capture Cards, I got the inspiration from playing video games since I was a kid.

Anyway, these cards enable the player to capture a Monster Pet they see in the wild, much like you do in popular monster-themed video game franchises.

As I designed the game, I made sure that there are different Types of Pets players could hunt. It includes the Normal Type which is the weakest, Emblem Type which is categorized as Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Element Type which is either Fire, Ice, Earth, Water, Wind, and Steel. And Monarchy Type which is categorized as General, King, and Emperor.

In the game's upper stages, higher monster types would start emerging as you climb up the floors.

Seeing it now manifest in front of me, I was beginning to see a new side in this game…

Well I at least need to kill a couple of monsters here to get to level 10.

I arrived at Green Leaf Forest, and met a Sting Beetle. I looked at its status.

Sting Beetle - lvl. 1 (Normal Tier)

Health : 2000

Attack : 100

Defense : 200

Skill : , ,

I unsheath my Bronze Sword. I attacked it head on and slashed it's head. Thankfully, my attack connected. I managed to reduce its health to 3% and attacked it again.

Then as I attacked it with my Bronze Sword, it suddenly used the skill and increased its defense by 2%, my attack was reduced to 4% but I continued slashing its head and defeated it with more than a couple of slashes. My health was currently 3400 after I received a few bites, and stings.

I killed 150 beetles and manage to level up to 6

My status changed again.

[Shirachi] lvl. 6 - Human (Battle Apprentice)

HP : 3890/4500

Exp : 5000

Attack : 400 (+15)

Defense : 200 (+100)

Energy : 600

Equipped Weapon : Bronze Sword (Bronze Tier)

Tamed Pet : N/A

After killing another set of sting beetles and rising to level 7, an announcement was sent to the server.

[System Announcement]

Greetings, from the Game Master! As a gratitude for playing this game every Player will have a chance to receive a Quest Stab, this stab will help you go to hidden quests to gather information about hidden weapons and items, or information on how to defeat a certain boss in different cities. To claim this quest stab you must be able to defeat the Gotham City Boss.

Looks like there's a player who became level 10 much earlier than me? Is it a beta tester? Or perhaps is it the culprit? Ah, I need to hurry to get to level 10.

Anyway, since there's already someone who is able to reach that level, perhaps I could try to lure them in.

Sender:

Additional Information : You who are currently in Level Ten, if you happen to be in Gotham City, pay a visit to King Shoto-jin and he will be able to answer one question, so think about it carefully, ask about what information you need the most. Likewise, any player who was able to reach that level today, you could do the same and it will benefit you greatly.

A level 4 Human Swordsman [Crystal Clear] replied: Hey, is this a joke?

I answered him, "Better check it, after all you won't lose anything."

If ever that level 10 would take the trap, I might be able to know who it is. There's a high chance it was the culprit. I continued my leveling until I reached Level 9, and as I was about to get to the waterfall near the Gotham Bridge I spotted a brown colored egg guarded by a Rock Snake a lvl. 6 Normal Tier Monster.

Well I grabbed this opportunity to get to level 10, and go to Gotham City. I unsheathed my Bronze Sword once again and started to attack. First I slashed its tail to slow it down, and then its head and landed a critical hit.

- 565

And its life dropped to 11, 435

It bit me and my health dropped 5%. What a great damage dealer, as of now I didn't buy Health Potions because I thought I didn't need to until I fight the boss.

Well I need to finish it quickly if I want to level up fast.

I slash it a couple of times and all landed as a critical hit, as I drain his HP, he release a skill

I became poisoned and it deplete my life by 1 per second.

What's more annoying is that I cannot stop hitting it even though my HP is depleting at a fast rate.

I managed to hit him several times and his health was now reduced to 1000, then he used a combo and put my HP to critical in addition to the poison, I'm nearly as dead.

I used my energy and focused it on a slash, my attack power suddenly increased and released a shocking damage.

- 1255

I killed it with that strike. And a notification was sent : Player [Shirachi] learned a custom skill

"I guess, I'm lucky enough to create a skill just as I needed to."

It gave me a huge amount of experience, but still not enough to get to level 10,

I approached the mysterious brown egg, and looked at its status.

Brown Rock Snake Egg - Unhatched

Health : ???

Attack : ???

Defense : ???

Skills : ???

I can't see its attributes for now, I think I should kill a few more monsters to advance. Well I should practice my and head to the waterfall.

I kill much more and much faster when using the , my hits have improved bringing much more damage than a usual slash.

[System Notification] Player [Shirachi] reached level 10, you are now able to change your Class.

Finally I'm able to change my Class.

In the game you are able to change your class when you reached level 10, every player starts with being a [Battle Apprentice] the default player position, then when you reach level 10 you are able to change your class among the 5 classes, namely [Swordsman], [Knight], [Healer], [Mage], and [Archer], with each having an edge to a certain attribute. Swordsmans are Close Range Attack-type class, Knights are Defense-type class, Healers are support-type class, Mages are Magic-type class and Archers are Long Range Attack-type class.

And just like Weapons and Pets, each class will be promoted to a certain level, at level 20, the class will be promoted to Bronze. And in every interval you could reach a higher level until you reach level 200 as you become a God-leveled player.

I choose the Swordsman Type, because I want to focus on Attack and have a higher Damage Points. Eventually I might even stumble on those hidden types.

I looked at my status and it made a very big change.

[Shirachi] lvl. 10 - Human (Swordsman)

HP : 30/6500

Exp : 200

Attack : 600 (+65)

Defense : 300 (+100)

Energy : 800

Equipped Weapon : Bronze Sword (Bronze Tier)

Tamed Pet : N/A

I killed a few more monsters and earned experience points. I headed straight to the Gotham City Bridge. Gotham City is an area that boasts a medieval aesthetic. The stone pathway is 50 meters thick and the city gate is 30 feet in height and on top of the city arch, is written an embossed metal plate with the name Gotham City etched on it.
