ESCAPE

I noticed the “financial buoyancy” in my bank account so I figured it was time to get myself a new a t-shirt and possibly, a trouser. There was this boutique not quite far from my school so I decided that I would go there when I was done with classes.

Classes ended around 5pm so with boldness, I walked to a Point of Sale (POS) shop, withdrew the only five thousand Naira I had and gallantly marched to the boutique.

“Who is here? Or don’t you want to sell?”, I yelled from outside the store.

The owner of the store quickly ran out of the store and pleaded, “sorry for the delay, sir. What do you want to buy?”

“There’s this particular outfit that I’ve been seeing in your store for quite some time now. I want to purchase it”, I answered.

“Okay… That’s good. But can you recognize it?”, he inquired.

“Of course. Why not”, I questioned.

“Okay, then. Let’s go inside, I believe it’ll be there”, he insisted.
