Valerian sighed. This was getting really annoying.

"Witnesses have stated that they saw the both of you in the possession of a gun. Is that accurate?" The Warden repeated in a cold stern voice. "Kindly answer the question truthfully."

"Yes, that is accurate." Valerian said nonchalantly as he leaned into his chair.

"And are you aware that being in the posession of such firearms without a permit is punishable by law?"

"Yes, I'm aware. I have a permit" Valerian deadpanned.

"We're not talking about you, Mr Vanguardia. We're talking about your friend over here."

Valerian's breath hitched in his throat. Ana was an assassin. Of course she wouldn't have a legal permit for her gun.

The Warden opened a gaint floating screen in front of them. The floating screen materialized between Valerian and Ana, casting an eerie blue glow across their faces. Valerian noticed Ana's nonchalant demeanor faltered as he saw the child in the picture
