At the black forest

The thick white fog was everywhere in

the deep forest. Not a single sight to be seen by naked eyes and high level monsters coming out of nowhere attacking anyone who smelled fresh blood .

Ash was walking in the mid air with help the of S- level high quality space boot used when traveling through space but here he was using them to avoid direct contact from ground to not attract any high level monsters so he could save time and continue his travel.

Almost an hour has passed since he started walking in the forest but there was no sign for thick white fog in the forest to end. He was tired from walking so long but he didn't replenish his energy by self healing because he wanted to save his energy for any unexpected situation and only drank nutritional drinks.

He walked walked and walked but the thick fog never disappeared like he was lost in it. He tried to confirm if he was going in the right direction and like Everytime his googles were giving same alert

Ash looked through googles where he was seeing through some mechanical data without these he might have lost in the thick white fog only with these could he walk in forest without hitting on trees and safely avoid monster.

'is it broke?' he thought while scanning the area but still continued walking straight another hour passed but the white fog was still clear to the eye.

Ash stopped then took out space boat and sat on it moving at full speed in the straight direction. If it was another fairy fantasy tale then you could have thought that he was flying in the air with magic wand like witches.

' I might attract high level monster at this rate' he thought looking straight.

But to his surprise he didn't even meet a single monster as he went deep and deep.

'am I finally exiting the white fog layer?' He thought as he look forward and yes he exited and directly entered black fog.

His light mode google turned to dark mode automatically. Ash did not stop there and continued without turning back.

Ash thought 'if it goes likes I might  exit black fog just in 10 or 15 mins'

Ash speed up but suddenly he felt dizzy his eyes were fuzzy and his body felt numb so that he almost lost his balance.

He quickly cleared the air around him and healed himself.

'what happened? Is my mask not working in the black forest?" Ash thought "if so then I have to quickly leave the black fog or I might run out of energy"

He quickly moved forward forgetting that the third layer might be more dangerous than this. Around an hour later ash come out of dark black fog and enter in shady forest. There was no sign of white or black fog.

'so I am at the last layer of poisonous fog?'

He moved on looking at transparent fog he already knew he is closer to dead zone and needed to leave as soon as possible but would it had been easy to come and go if it was called dead zone ?

No because as  soon as he moved 20 meters in transparent fog he encountered a big deadly poisoned snake with his open jaw as big as ash showing its two big canon teeth and it's split tongue. This beast snake was giving a chilling sound.

Hisssss/

Ash jumped out of his boat and landed on the ground almost losing his balance as the big snake attacked his space boat  breaking it into pieces.

"You stinky snake how could you break that expensive space boat!" Ash shouted and wondered how can a grade D level monster survive in this deadly zone?

There was only one answer coming to his mind and that is this snake is deadly resistant to any deadly poison and the chances of it turning to S level were likely to be high.

'its good that it is still D level" ash thought ' I should take it's core so I can make a new highly poison resisting medicine.

He took out a space whip from his space box that could cut through air. The snake moved forward with it's wide jaw  and launched an attack on him but its jaw was stuck.on the ground as ash jumped in the mid air and circled his whip in the air.

'thud'

Ash was going to kill the snake with one hit but the snake suddenly moved  its tail behind him and he fell on the ground so hard that the ground left marks. He stood up while his body automatically healed itself and then he moved with whip toward snake monster but the snake was fast and avoided his attacks.

'why?' ash thought

As he jumped again in the air avoiding the snakes sneak attack with its tail.

'its level is low but why does it have fast moves like a B or A class monster?' ash quickly moved in circle to cage the big snake and he was finally able to bind the snake with his whip.

"Finally!" Ash smiled and moved to kill snake with space whip but...

'huh?'

Ash looked at his hands and then toward the snake . His space whip was shattered into pieces as the snake freed itself from the bindings with a hiss it directly stared at ash like it was mocking at him.

"What the fvck !!!"

Ash looked up from below to the snake whick was growing up in big size so fast. If the size of snake earlier was as big as his room now it's  size should be as big as his house.

Now Ash felt as if he was in the shadow of this large beast surrounding him like a predator leaving no space to its prey to run away .

"Is it really a D class monster?" He said while his body was slowly covered with in the large body of  beast snake.

At hospital

"Grandma!"

Liam run toward his grandma with bucket of flowers in his hands and hugged her.

"You finally looked at me" his grandma said while pinching his nose from hugging her so tight.

"Ow! Sorry grandma I was carrying large bucket of flowers that's why I didn't see you sitting here" he rubbed his throbbing nose

"You disrespectful grandson of mine if it was ash he would have greeted me first you know?" She said as she pinched his nose again

"Ow ow okey next time I won't ignore you!" Liam clapped his both hands together to make ' I am sorry ' gesture.

"Fine for now next time I will prickle  your ear if you do it again" she said while flicking on his head with her fingers and took the bucket of flowers from his hand and put them on table beside Liam's mother.

"Now both of your son have brought flowers for you but.." she looked at Liam's mother  and sat back on the chair "if I was little early I would have seen my first grandson too"

"Grandma did you just come back today?" Liam asked

"Yes I had some urgent business to deal at Jupiter so I was late" she exclaimed with a sad look

"Don't worry mother ash will be back before the weekend  " mom said to grandma

"Did he said that ? But jenni you know those practical exams last for at least a week!" Grandma said

Listening to there conversation Liam asked "mom! What are practical exam?"

Both his mom and grandma looked at him. His mom said "hmm practical exams are just some task given  by college's administrator to every student so that they can be qualified to enter there college."

"What task?" Liam asked as he never had that experience to himself

"Like your brother ash was given to find a high level spiritual plants to qualify for spirit -med studies" his grandma said.

"Is brother Micah and Jay also giving same test?" Liam looked at his grandma

"Yes surely if they want to go the college of their desire" she said

"Is the test same to everyone?" He asked

"No" he looked at his mother who answered him.

"Why?" He asked

"Because everyone has there own field of choice they want to enter " his mother said then she asked " did you hear from Micah and Jay what they wanted to do after high school?"

" Yes brother Micah said he will be joining space pilates and brother jay said he was going to join military to become top fighter " Liam answered

"Then my Little boy tell me what did your brother tell you what he was going to do after high school studies?" His mother pinched his both cheeks.

"Blother taid ee vas goigg to ee erb spirtuist" (Brother said he was going to be herb spiritualist) his speech turned blubby as his mother was pinching his cheeks until he was finished that he  grabbed his mother's hand

"Ow it- hurds" (hurts) he said as his mother stopped pinching his cheeks and patted on his left cheek

"Our li is so Cute ~ right mother?" She asked her mother patting her son's cheek

"You are right his red cheeks are so cute let me pinch on it~"  his grandma said while turning her hands toward his cheeks.

Liam quickly backed off a little and grabbed his cheeks "don't it hurts" he said as his cheeks were sting from earlier pinches . He looked like an alert rabbit in front of two wolf .

"Haha you are so cute " grandma wiped her tear drop falling from the corner of her eyes from laughing so hard.

The sound of her laughing was so loud that they didn't hear the knock on the door and a person had entered.

"What are you all laughing on? Share with me too mom!"

Liam looked back and saw a women who has same look as his grandma but different eye color that was golden covered by black glasses. She was wearing white knee sandal with pink criss cross ribbon tied in bow at the knee end which had long heels while wearing white dress with pink  flower patterns and her sleeves were loose showing her arms and shoulders and holding  boutique of pink flowers.

"Finally you are wearing something that looks good on you unlike those military uniforms!" Liam's grandmother said

"Aunt jia!" Liam stood up and went toward his aunt who removed her glasses and welcomed him with her open arms "little li~"

(Note: I am using Liam's mother name Jennifer  also her nickname most as Jenni so don't get mistaken for some other person because it's kinda suck to use so many pronouns. In the future I will use the same method to avoid confusion)

"Sister jia why are you coming so late and" Jennifer said while looking at her dress up " what's up with your get up today?"

Jia looked at her sister and walked with Liam and sat on the edge of bed while crossing her legs she said " there was a problem from the officials and the meetings were delayed so I was late and" to her second question she said " I just wanted to change up to look more lively today"

"But you never cared before" Jenni said

"Don't forget I also changed into casual cloths when you were pregnant with ash and then also when you were pregnant with Liam too!" Said jia

"Oh but I still remember what your casual was right mother?" said Jenni looking at her mother

"Yes I still remembered it was like she was coming to someone's funeral,

" said Jenni's mother

"Mom! You can't say that I just wore random dress you know how I don't wear lady like cloths" said jia to her mom

"I know cause you are the other copy of your father hump!" Her Mother said pinching her cheeks

"But don't I have looks of mom than father ?" jia said while curling her fingers with her hairs

"Looks doesn't matter if you are walking on the same path as him" her mother rejected her idea of them having same features

They  continued chatting until Liam finished placing the boutique of flowers on table with his and ash's buckets of flowers . He came to sit back on his chair then he heard his aunt saying

"Little Li came here sit on aunt's lap" said jia.

"No!" Liam rejected her offer

"Why? You never rejected me before?"

"Because now I am a high school boy hump"

"So our little pea has sprouted huh?"

"I am not pea but a high school student and 165cm tall hump!"

Everyone laughed at Liam trying to show off his growth in height .

"Anyway where is dad? He was coming with you right?" Asked Jenni

"Yes why isn't he back with you?" Her mother asked as she recalled that both her daughter and husband were supposed to come together but only jia come back

"Didn't I say there was a problem from officials and meeting was delayed ? "  she said looking at both of them and continued "Dad and I were supposed to come together but..." Jia stopped wondering whether to tell them or not but looking at their anxious  look she couldn't hide and said.

'There is serious problem and all official are holding a meeting at emergency unit'

She wanted to say this but said " there was spy in military so father is the one handling it" she said

Listening to this both his mother and sister sighed with relief.

' I should not tell them about the real situation not until my sister has safely given birth to her child ' she thought and smiled at them

"If so they could have handled it by themselves why let your father be one to take care of it?" Her mother asked

"Yeah they just need to give a family person to handle the task what are other military guards for?"  Said Jenni

"Right! I also thought same but what can we do? let's wait until everything is okey"  she said and turned to pat Liam's head then she added "everything will turn okey"

Liam looked at her eyes which were filled in a guilt of lying. He wondered what she actually meant by those words?

'turn okey....is there something wrong with grandpa?' Liam thought and looked at his aunt she was giving him smile like earlier the look she gave didn't appear on her face .

'maybe I was wrong?' he thought then forgot whatever he thought and continue talking with others in the room.
