Chapter 129: A Dark World

"What...happened?" Was all Harvard would be able to say, trying to form a cohesive thought as he attempted to explore such a dark place. The longer they were able to stay within, however, they would slowly be able to see within it, albeit faintly. Vivid shapes that act as walls, doors, and floors were starting to form allowing them to somewhat walk across the area. They remained cautious in traveling, feeling the weight in the wood as they maneuvered, their hands and arms raised to feel the area. The longer they remained within the dark, the more they're able to see shapes form before them: Small, rectangular ones to act as stairs, rounded ones to create chairs and sofas, peculiar shapes that hang atop the ceiling to act as chandeliers. One such shape, however, stopped them in their tracks.

A Humanoid form. One with nothing but their eyes. A blank doll with eyes that stretched themselves out of its head, big ovals with a pupil staring towards them. It sensed their presence. It saw the children. It turned its gelatinous head to their direction, their eyes transfixed, yet now spawning and stretching a long, thin, toothy grin. The children immediately backed away slowly, yet the formless creature tried to approach, its skeletal-like legs barely carrying itself. It started with a slow pace, before gaining momentum in its movements, causing the children to start running, setting up spells in advance, with Zazel tossing one of them in a nearby room, while Harvard held his by his side, preparing to cast it right at the monster's face. The creature was gaining speed as it walked, his bizarre anatomy quickly adapting to the area, stretching and grabbing ahold of anything solid to pull him up as if he didn't possessed any bones. The boys shut themselves in a small room, hiding amongst the decorations, as the beast would begin its search. It made no sound. it made no sudden movements. It kept its eyes wide open as it slowly explored the area, his long tendril-like fingers scraping at the scenery. With Zazel's sigil, watching the beast look around, he'd have the next room play a loud sound: a Woman screaming. The beast took notice and left the area, its mouth still agape as it ran. The children couldn't help but take a breather at such a sight. "What.....was....THAT!?" Zazel would whisper, trying to keep his volume low.

"I have NO idea.....but I am NOT staying in a place with something like THAT in it..." Harvard would respond quietly, casting the spell immediately: Lemegeton. Wielding the gun, he'd insert one of his monsters within its chamber, cocking the weapon, as he'd get up and pointed it right at the entrance, maintaining a firm stance as he'd wait. He could feel the planks shake themselves. He could hear the footsteps charging in, going faster and faster. He'd swallow his own fear and held up the gun, ready to shoot, while Zazel would be watching. The shadowy visage is getting faster, scraping itself on all fours like a dog, crawling with the intense desire to rip apart its prey. It was like a shark that smelled blood, and it wasn't showing signs of stopping. The steps became numb for a few seconds, before Harvard was able to see it in plain sight: The Very monster that lunged itself forward, its eyes stretched and squashed with a small dot to act as its iris, its jagged teeth as long as its body, opening wide and housing multiple rows before each one. It made no sound, not wanting to startle its pray and make it react for a free meal to disappear.

BANG!!

The Bullet was fired, shot directly towards the beast's endless throat, hitting something dead on and making the monster jolt, averting its direction to somewhere else, hitting the walls instead. The monster that the visage swallowed immediately react, its inner body going visceral, contorting itself, stabbing in its internal structure, before ripping it apart from the inside with golden-like blades. It was no one else than ElDorado, wielding the gold like a finely tuned blade, constantly ripping at the beast's body. It roared and squealed in pain like an animal, as Zazel would use such pain it's being given as a means to escape. Harvard, much like Solomon, wouldn't be taking any chances. He'd walk up to the creature writhing around, aiming the gun at its head, and fired multiple times, each bullet shooting into its skull. No blood was seen pouring out, rather just an empty hole, being filled with energy-like lead from Lemegeton. Just as when he stopped himself once he considered his job finished, more noises started to be heard. As the children look back and around them, they would see more of such humanoid shapes, all of them having disproportional eyes and mouths, all of them bending and contorting their bodies as if they were possessed. All of them were starting to arise, as if awakened by their fallen brethren's cries, smiling wickedly as they set their sights for their meal. The children realized quickly they are not going to die so easily, as one would spawn more by just their voice. With no other option, they'd try to escape, hopping over the Railing and landing heavily at the tables, bolting for the door as the creatures charged forward with their outlandish anatomy, all salivating at wanting to consume flesh and bone.

When the children arrived at the door, however, they would quickly find out it was locked. "REALLY!? LOCKED!?" Harvard would yell, grabbing ahold of Zazel by the arm and dragging the two to another room, allowing his friend to pick up the pace and run just as fast to escape the large horde of shadowy creatures. They didn't cared about caution anymore. Now they just want to escape. They want to get out as fast as humanly possible. The Monsters were quickly gaining on the two, with the first still screeching like mad despite the six bullets to the skull. Their speed, despite the limited movement by the mass numbers, were increasing exponentially, making the children think they weren't going to make it. That was, until, someone swooped in, grabbing the children by the collars and dragging them to an unknown spot, hiding the three away while the beasts swarmed the area, collectively destroying everything within their sight, with the sounds of roaring, gnashing, and clawing to be all they're able to hear.
