Chapter 148: Danse Macabre, Part 4

Meanwhile, throughout the fight, the others would be watching such a scene go down, with Manipura tending to Zazel's wound through the usage of Anahata, patching the severe hole and tending to the veins that were cut away from such chambers. The blinding sun made a difficult time to properly watch the scene, however with some assistance from everyone around, Stolas was capable of setting up a small cluster of nebulae to act as makeshift shades to block out the light. They would be witnessing the fight go down and hold themselves firm, not knowing what would be the end result. "Hey so ah.....what exactly does he mean by that?" Stolas would ask.

"Mean by what exactly?" Solomon would question, to which Stolas would point towards the dragons and explain his point further.

"The whole 'Create-a-Monster' bit. Y'now.....with what Harvard said. Did you guys....actually know about that?"

The group merely shook their heads, with only Manipura being able to answer, once the wounds were healed, preparing to make his way towards Pria in the rooftop. "If I were to guess....it's most likely a type of magic that expends a lot of energy. Considering your friends words at how he reacted to such energy, it's most likely an extreme toll that he'd never reach. A Toll that he would rather not pay than anything else....To fuse the Sun and the Moon together, however....."

Solomon would merely scoff a bit at such words. "Pfft, yeah ok. As if anyone's that psychotic enough.....to...do...." His words slowed as his eyes would widen, looking back towards the fight, with a card upon the Card Magician's hand. "Oh my god, he's actually gonna do it. EVERYONE, SHIELD YOUR EYES, NOW!!" He'd warn, setting up a separate barrier, as well as a plague of darkness to coat the second shield to prevent the next attack from occurring towards them.

While such defenses were made, Harvard would prepare two spell, much to A. N. Noh's shock at such commitment. One of which was that of chains, around seven or so, with two being tossed towards the Hat Man. He would naturally react and parry the chains, however, when seeing the direction, he would bore a horrified expression as he'd try to move his new creation away. The chains being sent were towards the amalgamation itself, where five of which was wrapped around its neck and three of its limbs, and the two that were struck away being able to take the body. The energy was visible, absorbing it, Siphoning its cost directly, using the Behemoth as a sentient battery for the boy's project. The Hat Man and the Amalgamation both charged forward to try and sever the chains that are binding the latter, yet Inti and Quilla both stepped in, using their stellar bodies to act as a blockade, preventing them from advancing, with Harvard resting atop the moon dragon to get a better handling and grip in absorbing such energy. The boy's commitment was present, and with the card in his hand prepared, Publiq couldn't help but be stunned at such a rash decision.

It was a madman's solution.

Publiq, despite having such morbid curiosity to see the result, doubled back upon their words and maintained their focus in defeating the child before such a possibility was even plausible. He'd try to create more and more Shadow People to try and swarm the boy, as well as mimicking the memories of the chains to use against Harvard as an effort to drain back the energy lost, but right as he did, the dragons angled their head to let them be caught instead, being pulled together as a result. As the boy was moved by such an act, he couldn't help but smile, as his set-up was complete. The Dragons being positioned in such a manner was starting to undergo a change. Light began to dim as the shape became more rounded, turning the once bright sun into a black spot. He could feel his eyes beginning to strain as the event was unfolding before him, with the bodies touching each other as a result, one atop another, with their heads moving out of the way. "Hey! You're the one who asked for it...!" He'd declare, before he'd have the spell finally set up, aiming it directly at his monsters, with the dragons looking towards the boy and giving a solemn nod, prepared for the fusion.

"Deus Solis...Deus lunae....."

"Fu.....sion."

As he uttered such words, the beasts began to merge. Closer and closer the bodies became, the dragons' heads slipping into their respective stellar object, creating an event untold by any other Magi alive. The outsiders that watched such a display would have an extra coat of nebulae to act as another layer, making it thicker so as to see the process without paying its cost. Publiq, however, was not prepared for such. Despite such risks being grand, he still chose to watch it before his very eyes. He could feel them burning more and more, his vision getting further and further impaired. It would be the last thing he could see, yet such a sight is one he will never forget. As the area between the monsters swirled, being sucked in and creating a new body, more heads would appear as its result. The expressions that were once of joy and sorrow for the sun and moon respectively has now drastically changed to a singular eye. A singular eye in an eclipse, the iris being blood red, with a ring of fire blazing from its curves. The dragons were of the same color as the newly formed combination, with red scales across its neck and face, black eyes in the same pattern as the eclipse looked down upon A. N. Noh.

Harvard was telling the truth. He really did create such a fusion. As he did however, something occurred with everyone. An effect that the boy wasn't taking into account when fusing the two beasts. It was clear that this was of a Solar Eclipse, thanks to the black color taking up the most. He, and everyone else, began to feel a strong shift in them. A Strong boost coursing across their very veins. Their minds clocking in faster and faster speeds, with Harvard specifically being the most amped up.

He couldn't explain it any simpler: He was feeling alive once again. A feeling he thought he wouldn't experience for anyone else. He knew deep in his heart the end is nigh.
