Chapter 166: Wake Up Fever

As Solomon continued in trying to find a suitable place to do the recovery, the Giant Spider still kept its assault. Web after web, soul after soul, they came in hordes in order to try and grab ahold of the Biblical Sorcerer, not letting it up for even a second. Even if he was to rush the recovery, the process wouldn't do much due to the branches embedded so deep in Harvard. Rushing it would most likely have him miss a spot and continue the abduction right after. Added on the multiple bodies that get in the way and would split in two paths, one focusing on attacking Solomon himself, and another in retrieving Harvard and destroying the barrier, it would have him struggle more and more in finding the solution. "Is this SERIOUSLY what he has to deal with!? Jeez....No wonder he's a psychopath half the goddamn time. I'd be one too if it means fighting THIS!!" He'd loudly complain, taking his book and utilizing The Might of Samson to break apart the ground itself, using the ground and rubble to pierce through and damage the rest of the bodies invading. All that was left was to deal with Harvard's monster, although none of his spells seem to be a direct solution for such a problem.

Even as far as his Harbingers, not only would it cost a lot of energy, but it would also be ensnared quickly in its web, and the last thing Solomon wanted was to deal with two monsters that can effortlessly kill him in a moment's notice.

He'd hide himself in the cratered hole, thinking of a solution while setting up the potion to heal Harvard once the roots were removed. He'd plant the vial's contents directly on the barrier, letting it slowly bond with one another, changing its pristine white to a shining red, indicating the healing properties were coming into effect quickly. The Spider was quick in looking over at the hole, with Solomon at the ready for a spell. The two of them simply stared at one another, a standoff before them, waiting for a sign to come down and initiate the strike.

A Sign of a leaf snapping off a branch is the starting gun, with both casting their magic in full force.

The Spider would shoot down its web in a large cluster, its silk spiraling all over in a cone and aiming to catch the boy without a hint of escape. Solomon would counterattack by casting forth more hail and fire, burning the silk into a crisp before climbing out of the hole. The cone made would have spirits grow out, tearing apart the web's inner structure and lunging forward, a second attack made in the case its first would fail. Solomon simply used Might of Samson again to break apart the earth, letting the rubble separate them while also destroying the web altogether. The Biblical Sorcerer noticed it was winding up for another web, using its legs to try and crush the boy while it is charging up, leading to him doing a big gamble on his part. Timing himself, and placing a Barrier over Harvard, Solomon would jump to grab ahold of the actual branches growing out of its legs, scaling himself atop of the monster, meeting it face to face in order to cast his plague right at the construction of the web. He poured as much energy as he could with Might of Samson on his legs in order to reach there, feeling the fatigue growing more and more, all just for one singular beast to temporarily disarm and stun. He couldn't imagine what would've been if Harvard was in full control and made good use of such a monster. Each tree he stood, each branch he climbed, each flora he stepped on, he had to make sure it reaches the maximum height, finally reaching to its face and burning the silk.

What was left was a screech that can deafen anyone, as its face became burned alive while the silk touched its forest-like body.

Solomon would stumble and fall due to the screech, but thankfully, He still recalls the Sigil of Sabnock, using it as a platform to get down soundly, as well as creating a shield from it in order to block the burning debris that rained down. He took a breath of fresh air, a sigh of relief, as he'd finally have the perfect spot to bring him back. Just as he went back down, though, he would hear a voice. "SOLOMON!! LOOK OUT!! HE'S GONNA-"

SHIKK!!

A Punch. A Direct punch straight through his stomach, penetrating across. Harvard's arm was a whole trunk, sharpened to be a spear, thrusting it through with no effort. The Biblical Sorcerer looked to the source of the sound, realizing he was in a perfect view of the Marrow to possess and utilize the boy once more. Solomon would cough out a large amount of blood, already feeling the roots getting into his skin. He may not see it, but he could also guess that the Marrow was feeling excited at this moment. It was one opponent left, with the Marrow being able to utilize three separate fighters against Stolas. Who wouldn't be so giddy at the fact such a plan came to fruition?

Such giddiness would warm Solomon's heart, as he'd let out a small chuckle, then a laugh, then finally a cackle. Blood still came out of his throat, making breathing harder and harder, yet he can't help himself but laugh at how the situation has reversed itself.

"You know what? You're a smart one....I'll give you that, yah freak....Forget what Stolas is saying to you about being a coward and all that....One thing I can give.....is that you're smart. You actually weaponized your magic to such a degree.....I was actually at the backfoot. I only know of one other person that did that, and they're in the hospital, still alive as we speak...You're strong....I'll admit that..." Solomon would praise, turning his body slightly, letting the two see what happened: Solomon placed a barrier around the wood-like stump, already reddened for the remaining drops of the vial. "However.....That stunt you did?...That's a express ticket to getting our friend back! This is gonna hurt like hell.....but who cares..? I'll come back anyway...."

RRRRRIP!!

With as much force as he could, with no hesitation, he'd rip the root straight out of both bodies, instigating the healing effect almost immediately, healing them from the gaping wounds they both had. Solomon would stand on his own feet as he'd see Harvard being fully healed, yet still unconscious. "Now.....as for you.....its time.....WAKE!! UP!!" Cried the Biblical Sorcerer, smacking his face to bring him back. The Marrow, without warning, would try to stop the awakening altogether, ingraining its feet into the ground and creating more roots to skewer the two while they were stunned, and yet...

It missed.

Without giving it the chance to blink, both of the children would disappear. The leaves quickly fell over so that The Marrow is finally given a chance to see what's going on. The very first thing he saw was of Harvard himself, carrying both of his friends, supplying them with the potion, staring down directly at the woodland beast. He may have been severely injured...

But he's ready to fight once more.
