The trio could hear the loud, collective steps approaching them. The cluster of citizens with their tendencies to rip them apart was drawing nigh, having Manipura try and think of a plan on the spot. Using the Dragon as cover to protect everyone, he'd peek his head out underneath one of the wings to get a better spot on where to go in order to evade further attention. Vial, meanwhile, would be quick on casting his magic through the dragon. Fiona would take full notice of such changes, watching its skin slowly become a glossy pattern, recognizing what the old man was going to do. She's nearly impressed at how such a person was such a boon to them, shifting across the dragon's body and seeking out any reflective surfaces to take advantage of, bow and arrow in hand to shoot it at that angle. She would inevitably find one of the metallic objects nearby, a perfect source to bounce light. The Dragon's corpse, however, began to shake and rumble, with numerous legs outside, pummeling the beast and being desperate in trying to breach through. She wasted no time and drew her arrow, lifting a part of the dragon at just enough height to act as her window, forced to do it immediately, as wasting even a second would alert and take advantage of the gap provided to them.
Swish!!
The Arrow was shot, flying freely across the area, scratching at a random woman's leg, before hitting the metallic object, given enough force to bounce it off and take in such rays, shooting directly at the glossy dragon, making it become a flashbang as a result. The wails and screams of the citizens was enough of an answer that they were quickly being dispatched. Because of its large size too, the Dragon would hold just enough angles to pierce into one's eyes, burning their optic nerves as if it was a magnifying glass, forcing the roots to try and take over to heal such wounds. The trio quickly lifted the dragon off of them, with Manipura bolting for the location he spotted, signaling for the rest to follow. As Fiona looked up, she would be concerned "Hey! Won't that make us a bigger target if we go there??" She asked, trying to keep up as she would see the mob regain their sight, and silhouettes flying amidst the distance, approaching rapidly as they traversed this horrid land.
"Perhaps, but it's a way out nonetheless. They're already aware of our existence, so any exit is gonna be blocked off. If you have any other options, speak now." Manipura stated, as he runs for the west part of Synoni, making a sharp turn right as they'd meet the exit, allowing them to hide around the crudely colored buildings. Such landmarks also housed a Statue, a Statue that Fiona would be shocked stuck around. GWOG the Gallant, himself.
"WAIT I THOUGHT WE THREW IT AWAY! How did it-" Fiona's question would be interrupted by a cheeky laugh from Vial, recognizing what exactly happened.
"Weeeeeeell, whilst you youngin's dealt with wha'ever was goin' on over yonder, I took the liberties in takin' it for meself! Though, I wasn' able to do any'in with it considerin' the blasted folks kept murderin' one another like it was the last day on earth!" Vial would explain, making the Archer grow a scowl on her face.
"Great. Why exactly would you want a statue of a big, dumb jock like him?"
"Depends, How exactly did you bested him?" Manipura's question would strike a chill up the Archer's spine, shifting her expression to an anxious wince, before the Pastor continued his words. "As I expected. Perhaps when we're out, we could find a chance to bring him back. Perhaps so..." As he finished, he'd quickly began to scale up at the statue, using his arms to find and grab ahold of any ledges that can serve to boost him up. What he didn't expect was for the townspeople to climb up on the buildings in order to match their pace, screeching and hollering along the way. When they made it to the roof, they would take aim and allow such roots to grow and fire out, branching and breaching through the cardboard-like tilework in order to stab directly into the group. Manipura would use his magic once more, the soft barrier enveloping him, while having himself dodge at every moment such a spike was about to breach through, having the cluster of branches slide right off. He'd have the two close by so as to ensure they wouldn't be stabbed further, with Vial enhancing the barrier in order to give it a gritty, thicker texture. Such a texture came into play quickly when branches began to form on the side and tried to attack the Pastor on all angles, the barrier being stronger as a result. He would smile at seeing how effective his magic was on a supportive role. "Well I'll be....You're actually reliable." He would state, giving praise for the old man as he'd make the three climb up higher and higher.
SHIKK!!
A strong stab straight into the Pastor's chest. He'd gasp for air, clutching at the wound, trying to find out how exactly it was able to penetrate the barrier. Such branches that breached in were curved, a drill, even. His eyes widened as he understood what such a spiral was.
KRA-BOOM!!
A Massive crater on the wall, the branches stretching out and barreling through it with no sign of hesitation. The wood would deeply penetrate the Pastor, stabs made all across his body, as well as some injuring the other two. Just as the Pastor tried to get up, the bark made sure to grow and rip further into his muscles, preventing him from moving, less he'd risk serious internal bleeding. His breath was getting stale, and just as when he thought he was able to cast his magic, a voice heard from beside them. "Well....Well.....Well..... I never expected you folks to invade. Jokes on me, I suppose! I guess my warning wasn't enough! I actually need to beat the knowledge into you." A Man would state. A Man clad in red, with the crown residing on one of his arms.
"Damn you.....Damn you truly...." Manipura would state, struggling for air.
The King has arrived, and in the worst time possible yet.
