Chapter 241: Hell on Earth

Harvard would keep rushing across the area, keeping an eye out for the Staff members, being prepared to bolt out when he spots them. He would have the chain-like arms to swing across and even breaking outside of the Hotel, before throwing himself straight back in on a higher floor, utilizing the walls as a means to anchor himself. As he was running, he had a thought course through his mind. When meeting with the Staff Members at the time he was being cooked alive, right when the sprinkler system triggered, they actually reacted as if they couldn't see anything. Mostly it was due to the scent of burnt flesh that pushed them away, but to those that didn't would still somehow struggle in finding the boy, as if they were blinded. The main problem was that they don't have any eyes to speak of, making it an oxymoron, meaning one of such truths has to be an absolute lie. As he prepares to get his cards, a smile was made upon his face, once he realized that they can still "see" despite losing their eyes. He would be taking a gamble, mainly in assuming the eye sockets themselves were the "eyes" that they were using to take notice in the environment and get off such shots that felt near impossible to pull off.

BANG!

A blast of rubble, an explosion that sealed off one of the halls. One of the Staff Members was trying to strike down the boy by force, bringing along a large pillar to serve as a ram, in order to strike the boy down. Harvard would test his theory by casting an illusion directly onto the member, providing a Kaleidoscope effect to their vision, seeing if they would react. Within a few seconds, he could see the Staff Member begin to panic and scream, grasping at his own face and falling over, blinded by the illusion. His assumption was correct. These creatures can still be stunned through the use of visual hallucinations. He kept his distance as he prepared to separate himself from Jury, letting it serve as the cost to summon the next monster in his arsenal, creating a seal and having it expand in order to let its size overwhelm the building he was in. A Voice would be heard nearby, echoing across the shaft nearby.

"MAKE SURE IT'S NOT A MONSTER THAT'LL KILL EVERYONE IN HERE!! YAH GOT IT, YOU NUTCASE!?"

Harvard rolled his eyes at the familiar voice, abiding by his will, as the sigil becomes prepared, the energy from Jury being converted as a cost. He was able to notice the many other members coming up, utilizing a massive amount of holes to catch him off guard, yet Harvard simply leapt onto his own sigil and let them come out of such cavities, giving them a personal experience to the new beast. "Alright...Let's see what you do, eh?" He'd tell himself, before he began to chant, a green glow being emitted from its markings. It was time..

"Ut supra....sic infra..."

"De coelo, videt..... Ab inferno punit...."

"Qui expectat, resideo tempus eius..."

"Qui expectat, colliget quae sua sunt..."

"Aperi portas.....et da mihi ignem."

"Arawareu..."

As the sigil began to expand, the markings began to shift in shape and color. Once a crisp, bright green, into a matte, wine red. The sigil itself shifted into two triangles, one resting within another, with a V in the top of both. Two of the lines were curved, creating an M in conjunction with the V. The Sigil of Lucifer. Tendrils began to encroach across the seal, eyes being made within them. With a mighty slash, the tentacles cleaved off the top of such a building, tossing it aside and exposing the Staff Members to its dark light, the shining sun paling in comparison towards the marking.

"Spem desere, omnes qui intraverunt....Ora pro domino.."

"Prope est iudicium tuum....Infernum est paratum...."

"Satan..."

A Beast would begin to crawl out of the sigil, with the Staff Members staring in awe and fear. Residents nearby would yell towards one another, taking notice of the gargantuan creature. The City of Khepros would pause itself in order to ensure no damage was sustained, the very continent being protected under a golden veil to its residents. The boy assumed that such a veil must be a protection spell from the Monster's wrath, though luckily he wouldn't need to worry about it. The monster made its full appearance, a writhing mass of tendrils, glaive-like swords on each of its ends. The monster also had a cubical body, with numerous eyes on its sides, each one housing its own shape: one being cylindrical on the iris, the other having two on the same eye. A Third with a cat's eye, a fourth with a goat's, a fifth with a human's. The Monster simply stabbed such appendages directly into the building, nearly scooping it out of the ground, all for it to hold the Hotel steady and stare down towards the Staff Members, catching them under its mighty illusion.

Fire.

Screaming.

Weapons.

Death.

The very bowels of hell itself. An illusion that simulates the dreaded afterlife from the books. Such an illusion drove the staff members mad, quickly making them fall down to their knees and try everything in their path to block out such sights. Some even ended up stumbling off and plummeting towards their death by accident. An Illusion that simulates Hell, The Magic of Satan itself. Harvard would get himself across the tendons and slid on them like they were rails, noticing one of his friends close by, waving at them. Such a friend, however, was not amused. "WHAT DID I JUST SAY!?!?" Solomon would complain, preparing a spell to smack the Card Magician straight across the face as punishment.

"Heheh, My bad!" The boy commented. Just as he got down, however, he would notice a direct shift onto the complex. It was getting taller, sturdier, and bolstering more rooms. It was expanding, growing, evolving.

It was preparing itself against Satan.
