Chapter 262: Turn 1

"What the hell?"

"How in the...?"

"MY CARDS!!"

"How did he-"

Such was the commotion raised by the children, watching their spells and abilities be snatched away, converted into mere spaces on the board, frantically looking around to try and get an understanding, before Calico would begin talking. "Well, Well, Well! We's gotta large sum of spell's 'n monst'rs t'ah work with! I's ain' gonn' leave ye in t'ah dark, yah swabs, so 'ere be t'ah rules:" He'd began, snapping his fingers and creating a personal, twenty-sided die for everyone to wield. "Each o' us'd be rollin' one o' 'ese! Wha'ev'r t'eh die lands on, we move t'at amoun' o' spaces. Once we's stop, we's get a spell from t'ah space to use in what'ev'r we desire! You folks said yous wish to kill meh, aye? T'is shall be t'eh way to earn such a death from me!" He'd voice, demonstrating by taking the first roll, eyeing on the board to notice a specific spell that he may want to take: A green seal, with a six-pointed star. A Spell that Harvard would take notice being his first to take.

15.

A direct hit. The Pirate would bolt towards those spaces and land himself directly on the seal, the picture being physically ripped off and planted straight onto one of his hands, ready to cast at a moments notice. Harvard looked on in horror as he saw his main method of summoning such monsters be taken away. "WAIT, YOU CAN JUST TAKE IT!?" He'd holler, with a nod from the pirate serving as his response. Despite losing his guaranteed ace, he, as well as his friends, were quick on understanding the idea of what Game Magic does to their spells, with Anne looking on to the four and answering the question that lingered in their minds.

"Aye, it's exactly what you're thinkin'. The moment anyone steps in Calico's board, any ability or spell is siphoned out o' us. It's like an equal playin' field, if you think about it enough!" She'd state, rolling her die to take the next spot.

15.

She'd be quick in her step, keeping an eye out on the given area, before seeing a specific spell that belonged to Stolas: A Constellation, Sagittarius. Once she stepped on it, she would take aim and would try to fire it directly onto Calico, hoping to get the first damage of the game, though he would luckily utilize his hook to tank the blow, the damage being visible from up above, one that the children somehow didn't noticed it before: A Health bar, one that looked mostly green, save for a sliver of red. Teach would be next up, rolling his die and would shake up his body somewhat to get ready for a sprint at a certain spell he needed to get to keep the pressure going.

6.

Amidst his preparedness, he'd dramatically take six paces forward, landing himself squarely on another sigil, a seal. The Sigil of Stolas, which he promptly used to see if he can recreate such a constellation, but on a grander scale, costing him his turn afterwards. Solomon would be quick to realize how the turns work, looking around the board to notice his own ace, the Harbringers. He'd nudge the group towards them. "Okay, one of us needs to roll at least a 13 to get out one of them. If we do that, then by an extent, we could summon it without having to worry about using excess energy." He would ask, wanting to take this risk, out of an assumption that by summoning such monsters, it would allow more players to fight in their stead on the board, thus generating more spells to go after, his evidence being on the Monster Seal itself being possessed by Calico, which would mean he would most likely do the same plan.

"What are the odds of one of us landing a 13 though?" Harvard would ask, still being somewhat defeated due to his own deck is being used against him.

"Pretty low, last time I checked, but that's where we can go for other spells. We're not entitled to go in one direction, right?" Zazel would add, providing further knowledge that the amount of spaces is the only way to dictate where everyone must go, since there doesn't seem a direct path to go from A. to B. in a standard fashion.

"That has to be why the board's like this then. If we're gonna beat him, we need to either get close or have the right spells to do it. I'll follow Solomon's plan, you two try to set stuff up, alright?" Stolas would remark, with him and Solomon rolling their dice to move forward.

14.

6.

"Tch. One off..." Stolas would move forward with his fourteen spaces, being just shy off of one of the harbingers, though does come into contact with another one of Solomon's spells: The Garden of Eden. Solomon, meanwhile, moved back six spaces and would take a spell he hasn't seen before, one that depicts a jar with a bunch of sticks in it. Harvard and Zazel would be the last to do their rolls.

17.

4.

Harvard would sprint straight away with his seventeen, taking notice of one of his monsters, having a plan to try and set something up for the long term, landing on the space for such a beast: Fibonacci. Zazel, meanwhile, stuck close with Teach and would land himself on a spell depicting a steel beam, being given the knowledge based on its image and would try to use it as an attack, creating a metallic-like glob that he shaped into a sword, wielding it on his hand. "Aye, Yous folks be bein' a natural ova' 'ere! Las' time I's faced a man wi'h t'is spell, 'ey dropped dead in t'eh ferst roll!" Calico would state, giving praise to the children for learning quick on their feet, before rolling next, landing himself a perfect number.

1.

It took him a mere step sideways, being just close by to Stolas, where he would take one of the monsters within Harvard's arsenal, a Monster that Stolas would brace for if Calico would summon it.

A mechanical angel in blue, an effeminate face being on its screen: Gabriel.
