Watch me..

- Location: Japan, at a certain prestigious school.

[POV: Third-Person]

Inside a classroom, children were talking to each other. "Hey! What's your quirk?" a kid asked another kid as he showed the tip of his hair burning with purple flames. "I can turn my nails into metal claws!" the kid said as he demonstrated what he had just said.

At the back of the class, a blonde kid had an annoyed expression as she looked around. Right next to her was Jihye, observing the other kids. "Why hasn't anyone approached me yet?" she muttered with annoyance in her voice.

Jihye stared at the girl, feeling that she looked familiar. Noticing her gaze, the blonde girl looked at her with a sidelong glance. "You wanna say something?!" the blonde girl angrily retorted, looking at Jihye.

"Everyone, settle down!" The male teacher suddenly exclaimed as he entered the classroom wearing a tracksuit. "Let's go to the gym and change into your PE uniforms," the man instructed before leaving the classroom.

...

At the gym, all the children in the class lined up wearing their PE uniforms. "Get into teams of two!" the man ordered, blowing his whistle. As everyone found their teammate, only Jihye and the blonde girl were left.

"Kurosawa! Heinrich! You two, team up," the teacher assigned as he walked towards the front of the class. Jihye looked at the blonde girl, who waved her hand. "Hmph! Fine! I'll allow you to team up with me," the blonde girl said with a prideful tone.

Jihye simply rolled her eyes as she lined up with her. "So? What's your name?" the girl asked with an embarrassed expression, looking away. Hearing the question, Jihye pulled out a notepad from her pocket and showed her 'My name is Jihye, Kurosawa Jihye'.

Seeing this, the blonde girl raised an eyebrow. "Jihye, huh? That doesn't sound Japanese... Anyway, why did you write your name? Are you too shy to talk to me?" the girl questioned Jihye.

In response, Jihye flipped the page of the notepad and showed her 'I can't speak'. "What do you mean you can't speak?" The girl asked, looking at Jihye with a puzzled expression.

However, before they could continue their conversation, the teacher suddenly spoke up. "Today, we shall be exercising with your quirks. So, each team, line up and show us what you can do."

"Finally! I will show them how much better I am, and they will bow before me!" The blonde girl exclaimed, her excitement palpable. Jihye's mind was filled with worry because she didn't have a quirk yet.

...

[POV: PE Teacher]

Now it's that quirkless brat's turn. I don't know how, but a brat without a quirk somehow managed to get into the school... People who don't have a quirk are considered worthless, and it's better if the kids realize that sooner rather than later.

"Kurosawa! You go first," I said, grinning.

...

[POV: Third-Person]

At the front of the class, Jihye and the blonde girl stood as the class stared at them, waiting for Jihye to demonstrate her quirk. Seconds passed, and Jihye just stood there, sweating. After a while, the blonde girl couldn't wait any longer and spoke up. "Come on! Hurry up! I want to do my turn!"

Hearing the blonde girl, Jihye slowly took out her notepad and started writing something. 'I don't... have a quirk,' Jihye showed them as she pretended to smile. "What? Then why are you here?" the teacher asked with a chuckle.

This remark caused the class to start talking, with some even laughing. "She doesn't have a quirk?" "Why is she even here?" These words were said quietly, but to Jihye, they sounded loud and clear. Tears suddenly started to fall from the sides of her eyes as she tried to run away.

However, as she took a step, a hand grabbed her arm. "Watch me," the blonde girl said as she pulled the sleeves of her track suit, revealing two black metallic watches. The watches then moved and shifted around as blue energy enveloped them.

CLICK!

A sudden click echoed as the watches flew from her hands, transforming into a staff that the blonde girl held. She swung the staff upward, and it turned into a flying drone that soared above the class.

The class was shocked, and the teacher appeared somewhat annoyed. The drone then returned to the blonde girl, who performed more tricks before turning the devices back into regular watches.

The class erupted in cheers as they surrounded her, bombarding her with questions. "How did you turn those watches into that drone?" "Your hair is amazing! What brand do you use?" As the class swarmed around the blonde girl, Jihye was pushed aside, forgotten.

"Class dismissed! Return to your rooms!" The teacher ordered, leaving the gym in an irritated manner.

...

"Damn it! That Heinrich brat had to step in... just when it was getting interesting," the teacher grumbled irritably as he entered the faculty area. "Mr. Tanaka, are you alright?" a concerned female voice asked.

"Of course, I'm alright!" he retorted to her as he made his way to his desk. "What happened to your cheek?" the woman inquired as she approached him. "What do you mean, my cheek?" the teacher questioned, raising an eyebrow.

As he touched his cheek, he suddenly felt a twinge of pain. "Sh*t!" he exclaimed, looking at his hand that now had blood on it. He rushed toward the faculty bathroom.

Staring at the mirror, he saw four thin yet precise cuts on the side of his cheek, blood slowly trickling from them.
