JIHYE! YOU HAVE A QUIRK!! (Warning! This chapter is dark)

- Location: Japan, at a certain cafe

[POV: Third-Person]

Inside the cafe, everyone was paralyzed. The man holding Henri couldn't move, his strength waning, which gave Henri a chance to escape. She used her jet boots again to kick him in the chest.

BLAST!

The man was pushed away, hitting the wall.

....

With heavy breaths, Henri stood up and looked at Jihye. "Did you just speak?!" she exclaimed as she touched her bruised neck.

Jihye tried again, but as soon as she did, her voice reverberated throughout the entire building, paralyzing everyone except Henri. "JIHYE! YOU HAVE A QUIRK!" Henri yelled excitedly as she ran towards Jihye for a hug.

"What the f*ck happened here?" A voice was heard as a group of masked villains entered the building. "Tanaka, get up! We have to go now! The heroes will be here soon!" the man with gun barrel fingers said as they started walking towards Jihye and Henri.

"Take those two. They are the targets," the man said as he got up from the floor, clutching his stomach.

"Jihye, do you think you can do it again?" Henri whispered as she prepared her shoes. Jihye nodded as she started inhaling.

"STOP!" Her voice echoed throughout the building again, paralyzing everyone. "Bye, losers!" Henri said as she grabbed Jihye and used her jet boots to fly past an open window.

....

After flying about twenty meters away from the cafe, Henri landed as they tried to find somewhere to hide. With heavy breaths, Henri fell on the floor and suddenly started laughing.

'What's so funny?' Jihye signed as she tried to catch her breath. "We escaped..." Henri said with a chuckle, continuing, "I bet those idiots didn't see that coming."

"Didn't see what coming?" The man with bloodshot eyes said, standing across the street from them, with the other villains behind him.

"STAY AWAY!" Jihye yelled again, but they only stopped for a second before starting to walk again. "Tch! Your tricks won't work this time," the man with gun barrels for fingers said, grinning.

"Run, Jihye! Go! I'll deal with them," Henri said as she slowly got up. Jihye shook her head and used her shoulder to help Henri walk as they tried to escape.

"Where do you think you're going?" Another villain stood right in front of them as if he had been there the whole time. Suddenly, Jihye and Henri's vision blurred as they passed out.

....

Back at the cafe, a few heroes and some police officers, who had cordoned off the area with police tape, were talking. "Any leads as to where they went?" A hero asked a detective, waving his hand.

However, the detective didn't respond. His face was filled with rage, his eyes glowing blue, fully activating his quirk.

He began walking in a direction. "Detective Kurosawa got a lead!" An officer shouted, prompting everyone to follow him. The officers immediately followed, trusting Kei's quirk.

The heroes followed with doubtful looks. "Don't worry, Mr. Hero. There isn't a single detective out there better than him when it comes to tracking," the officer named Takebayashi said confidently.

....

Inside an abandoned factory, everything was silent except for the dripping of water.

Slowly, Henri's eyes opened. "W-Where am I?!" Henri exclaimed as she couldn't see anything. Hearing Henri's voice, Jihye slowly stood up and started walking toward the direction of Henri's voice before she felt metal bars.

"Don't bother. It's pointless," a familiar voice could be heard as lights turned on, revealing one of the teachers from their school.

"Mr. Tanaka?!" Henri exclaimed in shock as she finally realized why that villain's voice was familiar.

"You dared to disrespect me, always getting in my way. I will make sure you will be begging for mercy once we are done here," Tanaka said with bloodshot eyes.

"Really? You have a beef with children like us? That's just sad," Henri said with a mocking tone.

Clank!

Sparks flew as he swung a metal pipe at Henri's cage, making her flinch. "Don't mock me! You don't seem to understand the situation you're in, brat!" Tanaka said as he swung the pipe around to try and intimidate Henri.

"I know exactly what's going on. You're probably going to call my dad and ask for some ransom in exchange for our release. I can clearly see how dirt poor you are. Your hideout is literally an abandoned factory! Can you get any more predictable?" She said with a cocky grin.

"BRAT!" Tanaka yelled as his arm grew again. Rage filled his mind for a moment, but he suddenly relaxed and smiled.

"You got half of it right," he said as he flicked his finger.

Suddenly, some people wearing surgical gloves and equipment entered the room.

"W-What are you doing?!" Henri said, distraught. "Don't worry. We won't be harming you," Tanaka said with a smile.

One of the people then opened Jihye's cage as she tried to paralyze them. Her voice failed her, and she only got a painful sting in her throat.

"We've already dealt with your quirk," Tanaka said as they had already injected something to stop Jihye from speaking.

"You know, I was really pissed when they let a quirkless brat like you into that school. But now I see why, because you're not actually quirkless. You were just hiding it the whole time," he said as he broke Jihye's finger.

Making her wince in pain, but she could not scream. "JIHYE!" Henri screamed as she tried to reach out from her cage.

"We will be harvesting your organs. It has been a while, so we might mess up a bit," Tanaka said with a sinister chuckle.

"You will be traded for ransom, Ms. Heinrich. Since I already left that school, I don't give a damn about my identity anymore. I'll just go back to being a villain," he said as he put on the mask he wore earlier.

....

Time passed as they tried to take Jihye's organs. Henri watched in horror, feeling helpless as her friend was being killed right in front of her.

"What?!" one of the villains exclaimed in shock. "What's wrong?" Tanaka asked in confusion.

"Her wounds disappeared!" The man said to Tanaka in shock. "Tanaka! You said this brat's quirk was some paralyzing shout. Did you lie to us?" the man questioned him.

Tanaka quickly walked up to the operating table and checked it out. Seeing their reactions, Henri was also confused as she tried to wipe her messy face.

"What is going on?!" Tanaka said as the cuts were being pulled together by some sort of black matter. "The gas tube should have killed her ten times by now!" Another man said as he checked the tube that was releasing deadly gas onto Jihye's mouth.

"What?! You were poisoning her?! How are we supposed to sell her organs if it's poisoned?" Tanaka yelled with bloodshot eyes. "I knew I shouldn't have trusted you f*cking newbies," he said as he pulled the tube from Jihye's mouth.

Suddenly, Jihye's eyes opened. Her irises were blood-red as she stared at Tanaka.

"What?!" Tanaka was shocked to see Jihye suddenly wake up even though she should be dead.

CRUNCH!

Suddenly, Tanaka was sent flying with his ribs cracked. Seeing this, the villains panicked as they looked at the place where Tanaka was.

A tall, shadowy silhouette covered in black bandages was standing there, looking straight at them.
