"I just owe her an apology meal. I just felt she's going through a lot at the moment, so I wanted to cheer her up a bit," Vin explained earnestly, his sincerity evident in his words as he tried to clarify his intentions.
Edwards couldn't help but tease his friend, a playful glint in his eyes. "I thought you're becoming attached to her, or maybe you fancy her. It's not a bad thing though, as long as you're happy," he remarked with a chuckle, enjoying Vin's discomfort.
Vin rolled his eyes, a hint of exasperation in his voice. "Stop it, man. I don't have my eyes on anyone else other than your sister, Annabelle, and you know that," he stated firmly, his loyalty to his friend and his sister unwavering.
Alex couldn't resist pushing further, his curiosity getting the better of him. "What will you do if Annabelle gets married or returns with a partner? How long will you keep waiting for her?" he prodded, watching for his friend's reaction with interest.
