With these thoughts, Bella Scott couldn't help feeling a bit melancholic.
After all, people are emotional creatures. When living together for a long time, attachment is inevitable. Even more so, she had once genuinely loved Edward Anderson.
She even thought about having a child for him and being his wife for a lifetime if possible.
However, reality wouldn't allow her to daydream anymore. When it's time to end it, she needs to be decisive. She has to let go of people and things she cannot hold on to anymore.
She's made up her mind, but it's still painful.
Bella Scott carefully folded the quilt. Just as she was about to leave the guest room, she noticed a picture on the floor. It was probably one of the pictures previously placed on the bed, which had somehow drifted onto the floor.
She bent down to pick it up and felt teary the moment she saw it.
It was a picture of her and Edward Anderson. The photo had aged, its corners yellowed and the background slightly scratched.
