"Who do you think is prettier, Cecelia or me?" Kallie asked insistently.
"Of course you." Tariq mechanically replied, embracing Kallie tightly, as if trying to embed her into his body. "Kallie, I love you."
He had loved this woman for several years, and had done many things for her. Besides loving her, he had no other choice.
Cecelia was just a brief interlude in his life's journey. Though occasionally echoed, there was no going back. It was only natural for him to remember some things about the woman who had once been his wife and had borne his child.
Kallie's eyes reddened. She wanted to ask him if he truly loved her. If he did, why was he always looking at Cecelia just now?
If she couldn't even hold onto Tariq, was her life too pathetic?
