Bella Scott turned to look at Edward Anderson, her tone calm: "I advise you not to think about the past anymore. People should move forward and look ahead."
Isn't that what they say about the departed going away?
Edward couldn't agree more.
As for the past, remembering some happy moments would suffice. If there were unhappy memories, they should all throw them into the river of time, which would suit Bella's carefree nature.
And she wanted to let go of him, the old acquaintance, altogether.
"You're right. I have a business trip tomorrow. Do you want any particular gift?" Edward asked as he stood in front of Bella, looking down at her.
Bella craned her neck to look at him, pretending to think: "I've outgrown the age of liking gifts. Only children like gifts to keep as mementos."
Edward stared at her: "Is that so?"
